While I have almost no reaction to wasp or bee stings the Velvet ant did leave a small pinky sized welt on my hand. It was painful but hardly a "cow killer" painful. I've been hit by much worse. Portuguese-Man-of-War was way worse than that.

I could sense the surprise in your reaction (as it is a diurnal species). 🙂 I appreciate you and Ken’s optimistic guesses of Micrurus and annulata, respectfully. My first was an atrox, and second a marcianus. Really enjoy your videos. . . particularly the photography.
