When she’s singing Rolling in the Deep, Jordan is 6 years old and is missing her right front primary central incisor and the left one is fractured, probably from an accident or a fall. That’s why her right upper permanent central incisor ( tooth #8) erupted first, as is evident on NGT about a year later. There’s another video of her singing in this same studio about a year or so later with #8 partially erupted and the fractured baby tooth ( ULA) gone, and her vocal skills have improved immensely. It must have been right before her audition for NGT. This video of Rolling in the Deep is a reminder that Jordan’s pitch wasn’t always perfect when she was extremely young, but by practicing 4-6 hours a day, every day, she developed perfect control over her vocal cords and breathing, turning herself into one of the greatest singers I have ever heard.

I adore watching you. It’s so much fun to see your emotional journey through her Music. I am a diehard fan angel. I was able to go to the concert in Glendale. The one thing I learned from Chris Walker big Angie fan is that until you see her live you have not experienced. she is so amazing. I wish we lived closer to meet for a cup of tea or coffee. Jordan was ten when she sang I’m Still Holding Out For You, TEN!
Kevin I hadn't heard of Dancing on my Own either. It was recorded by a Swedish performer named Robyn in 2010. There apparently are multiple versions: 1) mid-tempo electropop version, 2) a layered mid-tempo synth-pop edit designed for radio and 3) a downtempo piano ballad recording. I've only listened to the first one, WAY different than AJ's version - which probably is much closer to #3. The song was included as #21 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs of All Time in 2021 (!), per Wikipedia.

Angelina’s fans named her the barefoot Queen of jazz and soul with a thousand different styles and voices, I have to mention and shout out to Angelina’s Grandmother Mery Zamani who is a talented Iranian artist and poet and involved with production, the artwork and paintings on the walls behind Angelina is by her Grandmother Mery, great reaction thanks 🙏

There’s a mashup with Gloria Gaynor and Jordan singing I Will Survive, and it’s almost impossible to tell them apart. When I first heard this, I had to go to Angelina Jordan’s Cover Channel to make sure it was her since there’s no live video showing her singing it. This song is the only time I couldn’t recognize her voice, she did such a good job of copying Gloria’s.

Hi Kev - isnt it unbeliaveble how our common Granddaughter has progressed from age 6 to 7 anyway i want to push your eye on a Clip from Grandma Meries channel where she listened to the classic Christmas Song running around a table in her living room in Norway - later on in a rehearsel with an older Jazz Lady from Norway she sang this song as a Duett and again years later at her Christmas Concert at age 15 - really painfull beautiful you have to see the first than you know how Angelina has gotten her take on this song - cheers from Germany

I'll second the motion ... If you can Kevin, to delay your Livestream by, say, an hour. The 2 hosts of Wrapped in a Warm Blanket are in their 4th season of podcasts exclusively devoted to Angelina Jordan. They typically air every 2-3 weeks for all but the summer months. The podcasts are very popular among angels, and one of the hosts' goals has always been to try to answer the question: how does Angelina have the impact on us, emotionally, that she does?? They haven't quite found the answer yet but keep trying 😇😇

❤️❤️❤️❤️👣 Sorry to be late, but I had football to watch, the real thing, I don't care what you and Angelina think is football. I second to motion that the recommended fan video for Wicked Game is just stunning with her singing. On Wake Me Up, this is one of my favorites by her because it crystallized in my mind how precocious she really was. She and Avicii had worked together on a Volvo commercial proir to this as he wanted her singing to be in the commercial, Feeling Good, I think it was. Volvo found out how young she was and went with another singer. This version of his song was changed from a celebration of life to her goodbye to him after she learned of his suicide. I also had to watch the new Wrapped In A Warm Blanket podcast. There were several videos in your list that I had not seen previously associated with those songs. Isn't it something that we have so many videos from such an early part of her life and in which she was far from accomplished, but she doesn't care who sees it. They show where she started and how much she has worked to get to where she is today. It's remarkable how well she does as a very young child, and reading English at 6 when many children who are native English speakers couldn't do as well as she. I truly believe that she was not just extremely precocious but actually a genius, at least in terms of her musicality, if not outright. I am so happy that you are enjoying this journey. It's the next best thing to re-living my own experiences, seeing you go through them yourself. Thank you so much!❤❤❤❤👣

There are no more adjectives. How many synonyms for "beautiful" are there?? Not enough! Roget cannot handle it. Here's an axiom for you: "When Angelina smiles, the sun comes shining through". And her back phrasing and the richness of her voice in "Return To Me" are spectacular. I was actually hoping that she'd burst into the Italian (Ritorna me) like the old Dino. And Baby Juliette dancing to her big sister, whom she completely adores to this day: unbearably precious! And what other 6-year-old on the planet would have the courage to tackle a complex Christina Aguillera song AND pour it out with such passion and close to perfect pitch?? Most, at this age, would be still trying to figure out "Mary Had A Little Lamb"! If I tried to express the mind-shattering impact of every song this Walking Miracle performs, and of her beautiful heart and personality, I would never be able to stop. How can you possibly not absolutely adore her? Btw, "I'm Still Holding Out For You", at age 10, is regarded by innumerable fans, master musicians and voice/vocal coaches as one of her greatest masterpieces on several levels.

Wow, what a wonderful reaction Kevin. I am so glad you absolutely loved “Hurt.” It is one of my favorites too and I think it is way underrated. Let me explain why.
From early on Angelina has been accused of sounding “adult” - she is almost indistinguishable from someone three or four times her age.
With “Hurt” Angelina sounds like the child she is (six or seven years old). Despite this she grabs for the brass ring… attempting very difficult songs, even for an adult (this characteristic is a hallmark of hers). She does so here (with “Hurt”) and it is profoundly beautiful. Additionally, in this cover of “Hurt” Angelina displays an earnestness that is hard to imagine. She goes into belts fearlessly, always trying her best.
The other thing that I LOVE about this video is her repeated “thumbs up,” particularly after difficult passages. What you must keep in mind is that for every thumbs up that Angelina flashes to us, it was most likely preceded by an equally enthusiastic thumbs up by her grandmother Mery Zamani. Angelina is fueled by her Grandma’s constant approbation. She has been with Angelina from the beginning and I believe that so much of who Angelina is, is because of Mery. Angelina has said of Her Grandma “…she is my inspiration, my best friend… my EVERYTHING!”
Angelina is so prescious… not only a National treasure of Norway but a blessing to all of us.
I am SO, so excited to be going to her Christmas concert in LA this December 14. I look forward to telling you all about it.

Unfortunately, I don't think she has ever played an instrument in concert. Well she did strum the guitar for one song at a Norway concert a few years back and in one music vid (Suspicious Minds). She does play the piano and guitar quite a bit in tik tok and or IG vids. Hopefully in the near future she will sit at the piano for a couple in her concerts;)
She did play piano for first 20~30 seconds in The Best FIFA Football Awards 2022 performance. Although not in a concert, it was a formal performance. ruclips.net/video/usIdSbd1jPw/видео.html

Please be aware, that on almost all of the videos where is says she would 5,6, or 7 years old, she was a year older than stated. The only exception is the live performance of Hurt at the VAD festival, where she acutally was late 7, but that's not in this list.

@@kristena9285 that's wrong, she already has her lower permanent central incisors in these videos. She lost the baby ones when she was 6, and it took time to replace them.
@@most2dot0 When she auditioned on NGT at 7 she had one prominent "adult" front tooth. Here she has none. Unless she has retractable teeth, she is younger.
@@kristena9285 These videos here are from spring 2013, when she had just lost her upper right central incisor. Her audition was just around her 8th birthday, so there were about 8 months inbetween. That was enough time for the permanent tooth to largely move out.
Also, the first of these videos was published in spring 2013 on Hanne Tinderholt's channel, when Angelina was 7, with a title screen stating she would be 7. Whereas Mery uploaded her videos only 5-6 years later, when she made the mistake.
I explain this and more in the last 6 minutes of a 2013/2014 recap video. I'll try to link that in a separate reply.

Yes Kevin, the video for Wicked Game was the Grandma Mery version with all the adorable photos of Angelina, that are very distracting. A few years later, a fan made a beautiful video that enhances the performance rather than distracting from it. I do believe Jordan’s version of Love Me Tender is better than Elvis’s and she is the only one who I will listen to who does covers of his music! Everyone else butchers his songs trying to copy his style or the females sing in way too high a key.
