I'm convinced heads just makes these new bnf reviews just to show us that really he really is that guy. My dude really is the tiny whoop freestyle king. Lol. Sick flying as always, much love brutha 🤙
Do you want me to destroy him? Say the word! Say it! 3X $140 with a CRSF Nano; not sure if it's worth paying $140 just to inverted orbit a playground tree... in eech.. analog
1103 11k kv 85mm 2s has been one of my favorite builds for years now. That's actually the quad in my profile pic. I've always built them up on BetaFPV frames, but I'll have to check out the frame Happymodel is using when they become available. Generally 85 mm frames are a bit beefier and hold up to more crashing. Nice flying as always! 🔥
I assume you are running the BetaFPV motors too? I just ordered an analog Meteor85 tonight after trying the Meteor75 Pro and loving it for indoor stuff. I wanna try to get the 85 light as possible, perhaps with happymodel 1102 13500kv but I'll need to print adapters or drill holes as the BetaFPV frame is 9mm spacing with 4 holes vs 3 and 6.6mm. I also have some 6 gram 270mah 1s batteries I wanna try in series using the new GNB A30 connectors which should save a bit more weight vs the XT30.
@@ChrisHarmon1 Yes, I have been using the older BetaFPV 1103 11000 kv motors. 1102 should still be able to do well, and save a bit of weight. Typically I fly with one of three battery sizes depending on whether I'm looking for more performance or flight time. At the light end for best acro performance I use a 2s 350 mah. If I'm just up for cruising around and enjoying a slower flight I go for a 2s 520 mah, and I also have 450s that split the difference. I get about 2 minutes of flying out of the small packs, up to 3 1/4 - 4 minutes out of the bigger packs. I've gone as high as a 2s 650 here: ruclips.net/video/bOMeT4X7crM/видео.html
@@ChrisHarmon1 I did this! It doesn't fly that well with 1102 13500kV motors. (you can see it in a video on my yt channel) Only with two blade props and with 300mah 2S Lipos. And of course only with a leightweight happymodel 85mm frame. With three blades the motors are overproped. And with 450mah the power is somehow missing. it's not efficient either. shorter flight time than with 1103 engines! and more voltage. All in all the 1103 motors are much better at least in my experience and for my racing flying style. But good idea with the 270mah tattu lipos. I thought so too..
I have been practicing my power loops and backwards flying indoors. Think it's gonna be a good while before I see anything like your results, sick stuff.
If only the quads you review came with your preset freestyle moves😫....🤣 🤌🏼 insane quad spankin right there! I need a robust frame just to try to do a fraction of those moves lol✌🏽
I hope you enjoy it! The frame can be very weak where the struts connect to the ducts. Make sure to have some e6000 or Welders glue handy. Personally, I melt the frame back together with a soldering iron, then add a thin layer of glue over that.
I can confirm IL's answer. 2S 85mm 1103 11000kV 2S 300mah is a super good combo (very snappy). Because I need full power, I soldered the motor cables directly to the fc. That gives 2:30-3:00min flight time with full send
I like the Bassline platform so jumped on these as soon as I saw them pop up for sale and was not expecting much but I was honestly really surprised, they are a few Grams heavier than the Bassline however to me they feel lighter when flying they also seem to handle better to me. I have not been this impressed by a BNF since the Emax Hawk5 which has been a few years now and I have had several models since so I just really think they knocked this one out of the park!
Almost buried my Mobula 8 today. There was a gust of strong wind, the drone flew out of the patch coverage area, lost the picture, the drone fell, then I looked for it for a long time, it overheated to 64 degrees and judging by this, something happened to the radio signal antenna. RSI dBm -115 at a distance of 10 meters. Sad.
@@InfinityLoops I have a Mobula 8 2024. I understand that the antenna is a square thing. It is in its place on the FC, but most likely it burned out, I don't know. Well, at least I have a fun day of flights.😄
Hmm. Very similar to the meteor85. Same specs. After my last two happymodel diamond FC's didn't work properly, I'm holding back on buying anything from happymodel. I got the diamond FCs with two different gyros and even from two different vendors. I even bought new motors to ensure that's not the fault. No diff or hex from the happymodel homepage helped or even quicksliver didn't solve the issue. Very sad and frustrating. People I talk to have been experiencing quality issues as well. Maybe the X12 is not having faults like the diamond. Ciotty also wrote to stay away from the diamond FC in his last tinywhoop video with JB.

Nice Review! I'm planning to buy this whoop as my first FPV drone, the controller I will be using is the tx16s and the googles I'll be using is the eachine EV800D, I still cant decide what receiver to pick for both the drone and controller, what do you recommend for me as a total beginner? the 4 in 1 or ELRS? It seems that the ELRS is hard to start as a beginner, and what does "SPI" frsky mean? Can I bind it with the 4 in 1 of the tx16s? And If I pick the ELRS I cant find a decent review of how to bind it, I can only understand the binding of the 4 in 1 but now Im not sure since I dont know the meaning of "SPI" frsky, Thanks In advance
I'm very interested, but want to see the hd zero version before making a decision. Thanks for a great review and demonstration of how it can fly in the hands of a master.
This looks great! You got me excited about playground whoop ripping later this summer :) Do you have a good solution to charging the 2s batteries on the go? The Vifly Whoopstore makes it easy for 1s batteries, but how can we achieve something similar with 2s? 🤔
I agree! All of the frames I transplanted this build to have been open prop. There are some very beefy frames called "SKRCH" from jacks3dprinting. But any old 2" frame should work
Do you have a homepage or sth where you share your pid tunes? My Mob8 flies very poorly. I get propwash so fast. It can't even handle small split S or sharper corners without starting to wobble. I have other happymodel quads and I just can't believe that it flies like this. Kinda feels sluggish too. Hovering and cruising is very smooth so i don't think that i got a damaged unit. I can't find a single guide or video on how to improve the tuning, it seems like nobody did it. I tried it myself and followd instruction for a whoop tune, but i just caused fly aways and now I'm a little afraid to try tinkering myself again
Finally bought mob 8 analog...I get random failsafes even indoors close to 5ft when flying with 150hz packet rate and dynamic power on. It regains connection once I disarm and rearm...have you faced an issue like this? This is very disappointing after my excitement about moving to ELRS.

I wouldn't recommend them for carrying a lot of weight. 0702 seem to perform best on a build that is as light as possible. The whoop I used is 15g dry.

They are very different from each other. The Mobula8 is significantly larger. I'd say the Mob8 is best for outdoors. If you're trying to mainly fly inside, the 65pro.

Does the extra weight add to the 'fly-ability'? like making the jump from 65 to 75mm? Also perfect mix of motor audio time and ripping to tunes!
