    Imagine this technology brought to perfection and then put into something like Google Glass so people can see the text on their projected screens and the hand motion is detected with the built-in camera.

      yes imagine that..that google know what you thing every second so it can istantly trow you an ad on your eye about what you thing ..this can be reality in 20-30 years lol

    You guys have no idea. When you're disabled you can not type. If you have fine motor skills. Or a tremor. It's impossible to type things like this. This technology is huge for the deaf community. I find that really cool. The brain typing is really cool. However when it comes to disabled people and how much they charge them for products like these?! ITS RIDICULOUS! One computer mouse for people with fine motor skills can cost up to 400 dollars. It's so sad.

    • @thegreatpugtato
      @thegreatpugtato 6 лет назад

      Most computer mouses are pretty cheap about maybe $20, normally the only mouses that get up to that price are gaming mouses

      The real question is, what language do deaf people think in?

  • @x3merx3mer

    Sorry, but that deaf tablet is completely useless. If you can use hands, why wouldn't you just type in the text? You can then get it translated or pronounced with any basic software. ..instead, you're gonna put your tablet down, wave over it and hope it understands you well?

      Even though useless, it is still great for people to innovate different ways to solve a problem. Who knows, maybe it is faster than typing for some people or something useful like that.

    • @MrTheBrownDon
      @MrTheBrownDon 10 лет назад +5

      I agree but I think the point here is to work towards something that would be more portable, for example something similar to Google Glass

    • @IhsanMujdeci
      @IhsanMujdeci 10 лет назад

      Thats the dream, our thoughts are instantaneous and so well defined in our brains. Imagine being able to transfer an idea or concept into another persons brain. If that can happen then matrix like uploads of information to your brain can happen to. Upload some geniuses mindset or idea into your brain, share it over the internet

    I think the brain interface should use eye tracking cameras and a swipe to text like interface to be faster. If 'sliding' your eye from letter to letter as long as it calibrated the distance from the screen each time it should be able to measure the eye movement and read where you stop on a letter and the flashing to figure out what word you want to make.

  • @passiveedits
    @passiveedits 9 лет назад

    People are missing the point. The technology is developed incrementally, so that at some point it will be so micro and so fast that we can look at a person doing sign language and hear a voice in our own ears immediately that conveys the message.

    Most people seem to comment about the sign language interface (which is amazing) despite the fact that the real revolution will come from the mind-writing/reading one. It all starts here. With the will of helping a few disable folks today we will transcend technology tomorrow and 10 billion minds will be able to share their ideas instantly from anywhere on the planet to anywhere else and telepathy will become as normal as today's telephony. Voice will become redundant. People will communicate strictly telepathically to anyone willing to listen either in front of them physically or virtually. Give it 20/30 years ;)

  • @evermore7212

    Kinda misleading title. He/She diddnt type with his/her thoughts any more than someone using a keyboard. Its nothing magical and is pretty much a "visual keyboard".

  • @born2biscuit

    The thing for the deaf people is stupid. Ever hear of a dry erase board? If you absolutely have to have it said aloud over a tablet for whatever reason there are already countless programs that can read aloud what you type or write. I mean, it's fine if they make it a free app or something but I can tell they will sell it for a ridiculous price.
