Pro tip for you - try a medium-sized paintbrush to remove the bulk of the dust off the motherboard. Something with soft bristles will get into all the tight spaces easily.
One more tip on making reassembly easier - put the top and bottom plastic housing together first, THEN put the front plate on. It's 10 times easier. You just slide the bottom locaters of the front plate into the bottom shell, then tilt it forward and it will clip into place.
Compared to everyone else’s cleaning videos, yours is really good. I enjoy watching them since you actually take your time cleaning them all the way through instead of other channels that just half ass it. Keep more videos coming!
I just cleaned a white one myself. Threw in an SSD. It had a sticky roach residue all on the bottom shell, and all the screw posts were broken. I ended up getting a black bottom shell on Ebay. Can't really see the black from the front. It turned out great. Great video.
Another great video! Would love to see a black xbox one cleaned and have its scratches removed. Why in the hell did any manufacturer opt for that shiny glossy black plastic that you just breathe on and it scratches is beyond me man!
Why not use as paint brush? One for dusting the motherboard and another for cleaning the shell, saves time, Q-tips and gets into hard to reach places.👍👍
In the future if you do Xbox one it is easier to just separate the top and front plastic and reassemble it that way. You won't struggle with the ribbon cable because you have more room to work, and you only hold the front plastic. After you connect the ribbon cable put the front plastic in place and the top cover simply clips in place without any issues.
Why do you use cotton buds to clean the motherboard? Have you thought about using a soft baby toothbrush? Its much faster and less chance of damaging any small ics that can catch onto the cotton.
What did you use to clean the outside of it with? Alcohol? What percentage of alcohol can I use 70 percent orshould I use a higher percentage solution?
For the outside I use a number of things. Soapy hot water for the plastic. For tough spot cleaning I either use magic eraser (with caution, and never on glossy surfaces or screens or anything that I don't want to risk scuffing). I also use 99% isopropyl alcohol. I have never tried using a lesser solution.
Not only did you apply enough thermal paste, you also applied to the perfect amount of thermal paste. Steve will be proud!
Lol
@@RestorishOfficialIk it’s been a year but for the little black part with 2 screws that’s labeled mediatek why won’t it come out after unscrewing it

I would have loved to see the pile of dirty q-tips after the clean.
damn so nice to see a deep clean Xbox one.Keep it up man 😁😁👍👍👍.
It looks really nice now! It had its own little desert in there.
Watching these make me feel self concious about how clean my devices are 😅
Also, your editing and transitions are getting really good!
Whenever you mention Steve I get the mental image of him barging in on you like he’s the landlord from “3’s Company”. 🤣

Great transformation!
Thanks! I was pretty happy with how this one turned out.

Well done, guy
thanks, friend!

This could have been used in a place like I live in. The maintenance people love to mow the dirt. It is extremely dusty here.
Epic!
Nice, do you think about doing customization in the future?
I've been considering doing some mods. I haven't done much of that before but it sounds fun so I might try it.
i cleaned it but still got the notice that it will overheat
Cmon the first cable is the problem... And you left it out...
Horrible console
