David, my deepest condolences to you and Jackson on the loss of Stacey, your wife, and Jackson’s mom. I just read about it today, July 7, and didn’t know this happened a few months ago. I was on RUclips tonight and happened to see the video of Ambrosia on Merv Griffin of you singing “Biggest Part of Me” and I played it. Your songs were such a huge part of my life and my mom listened to them and loved them as well as she heard me playing the record albums in our house and later on cassettes I bought and she and I traveled the USA in my 1978 Camaro in Autumn 1980 and Summer 1981 as we were singing to these songs. I was 21 in 1980 and she was 51. She is 94 in Florida and still listens to these songs on a clock radio my son gave her. He is 39 and my daughter is 36 and they grew up as babies listening to Ambrosia. I want to wish you a Happy 71st Birthday in 8 days from now. I know you won’t have Stacey with you but I am sure she will be watching down from Heaven and smiling seeing you and Jackson on your birthday. In time I hope the pain gets less and less and all your happy memories will make you both smile. Then one day all three of you will be together forever. May God bless both of you. XO
I loved that song the first time I heard it back in 1977. I bought the album, recorded it onto a Maxwell Gold 90 minute cassette and would listen to that album and so many other classics that way on my Pioneer Super Tuner Radio/Cassette player through Jensen 6x9 Triaxial speakers. Whether I was driving somewhere or at a park with friends I was basically the DJ with that set up. I turned a lot of people onto Ambrosia and many other bands, as did my friends do the same favor back to me. I loved those days and I love these days because I can still remember those days, those people, and those times !!
WOW. I just happened to reach here and find that David is still a great singer and surely reminds me of my youth days when I happened to have found AMBROSIA 2nd album in tiny record store in Tokyo ... in anyway I still love AMBROSIA ♪ 👍👍👍👍👍
I just saw this. Wow, wow, wowie wow wow!!! God has blessed you David my boy, with a truly beautiful voice. I'm a devout Ambrosia fanatic since I first heard your first LP and nearly blew out my windows on the opening bong bass of "Time" with my Bose 901s cranked through my 1200wt amp!!! LOL That was one of the best sounding vinyl LPs I ever had! Loved all your albums ,etc loved "Key to You" with Dave Benoit etc. Thank you for all the wonderful music I've been blessed by God to hear and appreciate and have shared with family and friends. God bless you and yours.
I love your voice David. Keep enjoying your life sharing your voice.. We come from the same generation. The present generation needs to hear talented music.
Love your guitar playing and voice. You shook my hand at the Coach House in the 80s with Ambrosia. Always an Ambrosia fan and a fan of your solo career.
A great acoustic version of a great song. I'd love to see some videos of your guitar parts (e.g., Nice Nice Very Nice, the Apothecary solo, etc.), as your guitar playing was incredibly innovative and under-appreciated IMHO.
I’ve listened to this great song many times over the last several months (since I first found it) and have been trying to learn it, but can’t seem to get it down. I’d love to see what your hands are doing, as there are no live videos of this song.
Just beautiful! Love the falsetto mastery. What would singing be without falsetto? I think The Bee Gees first took off with falsetto in 1975 with Fanny Be Tender With My Love.
Amazing vocals!!! What a gift from God. David, I had to take a couple years off from singing because I am losing my voice. How can I get it back? I'm a 1st Soprano.
