You should go to the ponds that's off of hwy 30 west past loop 12 and there's one off loop 12 and nw hwy by the old cowboys stadium. Plus you got trinity river where 183 meets 35 south.
We have the same cage and our mutt learned to defeat it in days. You can use a couple carabiners to keep the door shut even if she manages to defeat the latch
My dog does the same thing, we’ve resorted to using carabiner spring clips on the cage so if she can get it open she still can’t get out cause that’s keeping it somewhat closed

Last little lake we fish it as well but on are small sunbelt boat. Normal catch is out in the middle of the pond , bass about 1 to 2 pound no real hams .
Hey! Jon, I live in that apartment in front of the golf course on that last pond and can fish the lake on my apartments if you like! To get some footage and take a kayak on it if you like.
One of my buddies has a husky and the same exact style of cage (except larger) and it's the same story. When I have to watch him, I stick a long screwdriver through the little loop on one of the hook things and then through the adjacent side of the cage and that seems to stop him

There is an apartment complex in downtown Dallas called arbors on the lake apartments there is a couple ponds in this complex if you can gain access I used to catch 10 lbs bass in this pond on the daily when I was a kid.
There’s a place in Grand Prairie. It’s off highway 30 close by MacArthur exit. Try it out! I never see people fish it. May be some good ones in there. 👊🏼

Bro you were at the ponds by my old job! There is a gate in that fence if you walked down a little. Theres a giant orange carp in that pond I've been trying to catch for the past 2yrs. It's all on an old abandoned golf course
You googans should endorse favorite rods more, go into detail about which ones you use and why and just what rods excel in what categories. Love the vids tho!
I can’t really ever tell if I have a bite when I’m holding the rod only when I put it in a rod holder and see if my rod tip is moving, I know a bobber will help but it doesn’t work with an Carolina Rig any tips?
Ricks Rice for pike it feels like a bump. Then another bump followed by it pulling it away. Bass will be similar I assume. You’ll only be able too put it in a rod holder if you get into carp or catfish. Or you start live baiting
Man unless your moving it or current is moving it there will be nothing. It takes time spent on the water to develop the feal to know every time what or if your bumping into structure or that tick or thump was a fish. Also hook sets are free so when in doubt set the hook. You will learn what was a bite or not after a while. Good luck man.

Use a carabiner clip to keep the cage closed. We had wiener dog who kept getting out of his crate. The carabiner put a stop to it though.
