An exploration in Genshin isnt good I agree as well it was pain. But when I got Ayaka, the traversing around a map was far easier that I felt like devs would nerf her. But they didnt. Even moving on the water! And I hope Kuro adds a character with very similar moving system just as Ayaka has.

10:28 people forget that the Genshin 1.0 story has what people call “1.0 moments” to this day. Dialogue cuts out, Paimon says wrong lines and some other issues, yet i haven’t seen anyone talk about it when it comes to bugs. And this is still happening to this day.
cuz most of those people played the game after like few patch maybe and it get fixed? idk coz i played the game on day 1 and quit right away on ar16 after not getting my 5*, meanwhile in wuwa i got 3 5* in just 2 hours lmao.
@@DerpyVenom I would say 1.0 was great, mainly as it was fairly large just I didn't like the incomplete liyue story. The bland wasn't there as it was new in the sphere (iirc before PGR Global, so there was no predecessor apart from HI3). Boring is subjective so I am not going to challenge it too much, as a more objective perspective is mainly tied to my previous point.
I came for the combat due their track record in PGR but I didn't expect to be obsessed by their dynamic environmental design and environmental storytelling. Like damn! Sometimes, I just walk near a tacet field just so I can stare at the sky changing. Also, I love how some of the world quests involves themes on environmental restoration. It's so dynamic. Not to mention the holy skybox. Like goddamn. I also love how alive the world feels which is ironic since it's a post-apocalyptic game. I love how the soldiers are patrolling. The couriers are delivering crap. And various factions are fighting each other. In Genshin, the only dynamic environment I fondly remember is Tsurumi Island fog disispating and the Dainichi Mikoshi in Enkanomiya which is just a light turned on. The art team did a great job.
Facts. I also love the side quests. They are well layered, and feel appropriate to your character. Infiltrating the exiles The echo battle arena Getting kidnapped by that gang I wasn't expecting them to be entertaining at all but they are very immersive into the world and its people.
I mean let's be honest most genshin characters look like ass when you compare them to WuWa and this is coming from a genshin player. I love Both WuWa and Genshin but when it comes to character designs WuWa wins easily.
I'm a mobile user, I've been playing this just fine, my bf plays it on PC and says that I play better than he is, which it is feels nice to be acknowledged with my mobile gaming do. Just so you know, I don't have PC of my own and am so poor. But this is all I have with my phone, I'm saddened that my storage is running out of space, but I'm happy to play this Wuwa just fine, I also made a second account for no pulling account purpose, meaning I won't touch the astrites until next year's of collection, so my bf will be do the honors of pulling characters for me. I love the game.
i made 2 accounts during pre registration, and for my first dps i chose calcharo on my 1st account, and encore on my 2nd account. My luck on the encore's account was ridiculous. On top of the discounted 22 pity verina and resonator selector jianxin, i am somehow on s2 encore rn with yinlin's weapon, paired her with sanhua she basically obliterates everything lmao. Safe to say i no longer play my calcharo account :D
I will say about the Echo in Multiplayer. They are not universal. You can get an echo while others do not. So hunt together for echo's because you never know when an enemy drops an echo.
@AMan-lp1jh you all can get echoes, but it's not guaranteed to be from the same enemy. Cousin and I went boss farming and there were a lot of times where 1 of us would not get an echo and the other did.
One thing very interactive with the world design is all the different night and daytime effects. There are multiple moons and some of the scenes are impacted by it drastically, in my experience.
unrelated note but the guy in the chat called calcharo__ at 8:04 saying "that's me" after hexjuice showed tectone's tweet had me laughing for a good bit
for context i have spent ALOT on Genshin, After the ganyu banner i had a bad habit of getting *every* character up till shenhe where i fell out of love with the game(discounting furina and navia who i still got). I used to really like the game for the most part. But a lot of my gripes with the game come from. 1. You really aren't the main character in the quests in Genshin, the game feels like a giant side-quest. The merit of the characters in Genshin are often only told not shown, Wuwa struggled here too tbh, but i like jiyan in the story a lot and i like actually seeing what he does how he IS the general and leads. One of the negatives is that you kinda need to watch the character PVs if you actually want to see their personalities and characterizations better. Back to the side quest in Genshin, in all the archon quests the only story progression throughout Mondstat, Liyue, and Inazuma was at the very end of the archon quests and resulting in the loss of a gnosis. That is all the progression, none of the actual plotlines throughout really MATTERED other than to bloat what is happening. NO archon gives ANY info on the travelers situation. This is when i had enough and after learning Fontaines start was slow i decided to stop playing genshin, even if it ends good its the same degree as wuwa but it doesn't have the gameplay or new game flair to have me push through it. I like how in Wuwa while the starting acts were SLOW, no matter how slow it was it actually still felt like plot progression. For world design, i think wuwa was also better here, IMO a lot of genshins visuals are pretty for the sake of being pretty. I didn't feel like many areas in genshin had any real identity. The places i liked the most were Enkonomiya, Tsurumi Island, Chasm, and Dragonspine. These zones involved actions that change the open world and for me added real identity and made them memorable. So far most of the zones in Wuwa have done this, the only world quest i disliked was the sea of flames due to it taking away some of its identity. A underappreciated facet of wuwas art direction has to be the muted style of some of the areas, this makes areas like the Banyan tree and the norfall barens really pop. The duller colors of some areas really allow you to appreciate the colorful areas in Wuwa. In short i dislike how genshin always feels like im playing a cartoon game and it always looks the same. while in wuwa i actually feel like im in an actually unique area. I don't need to mention combat, wuwa is just better if you actually like to use your hands.
23:44 With all the buttons WuWa should have NATIVE CONTROLLER SUPPORT. Like, you have the basics, jump, dash, basic attack, the special, the semi-ulti or however is called, the echo summoning, the tools (like the grappling hook), the ulti/finisher... Those already would require multiple buttons or even a comnination.
Hopefully once they get more revenue, they prioritize hiring a better western localization team. Some of the stories and side quests had potential but the (text) dialogue and narration was completely nonsensical which ruined it
Optimization is bad because the game is constantly reading/writing data to load in assets in the game, so if your drive's read speed is too low, your game will stutter. Hopefully this is something kuro can fix easily...
get yourself SSD. HDD is just a storage for your movies collection and such. Sure some offline games still run perfectly on HDD, i myself store my offline games on HDD.
Comparing combat difficulty between Genshin/WuWa reminds me of your original comparison of the Story. People have been upgrading their characters in Genshin for 4 years, of course the combat is easy. The highest enemy levels in Genshin are only 10 above player level. On the other hand, there are people that beat the highest level holograms in week 1 with half-built characters (even solo). How can it be that much harder than Genshin? Both games allow you to do crazy stuff way above and beyond beating the hardest content. WuWa combat is just more dynamic (aka you can't just practice a rotation, you need to adapt more in the heat of battle), so it just seems harder because it takes more practice. It might end up being quite a bit easier once everyone has played for a while
I agree WuWa doesn't look nearly as vibrant or as colorful as Genshin but then I realized something. This game is a LOT easier on the eyes at night. I barely had to close my eyes when things got too bright (looks at the Genshin login screen.) As someone with really bad eyesight, this is a nice reprieve.
took my vacation for the release and no lifed this game got 100% exploration. At 42 almost 43 account level. Im loving it. Cant wait for patch 1.1 for some QOL and energy cost adjustments.
@@cathetic101And with certain characters like Jiyan you can sextuple jump. Jump > Plunge > Dash > Plunge > Grapple > Skill > Plunge cancel This works because with certain action orders Jiyan can cancel his plunge animation if you spam the glider before the animation commits to the fall. IIRC though it can’t be done again after you’ve opened the glider once however for the last two actions (Skill > Plunge Cancel) in that same jump.
I've been playing genshin since release and ngl, WuWave kinda destroyed any hopes of me doing 100% exploration on GEnshin. The last time I seriously explored on genshin was arlechino's banner and now my sumeru and fontaine map is suffering haha. Nice review btw, keep it up~!
You said something and I'm not really trying to poke at you. But you were talking about the wuwa world being cohesive yet different, and I get that. But it's kind of important to note that we are only in one part of the wuwa world. So it makes sense that it's cohesive, I think it's really cool that it's cohesive and different in one zone.
YEEEEEEEEEEE this is fair, i think to me, there is still a bit of lack of cohesiveness among different areas in genshin, but it was poorly explained and not the best point
The world design bro... The places that pop the most in the world I called them Embers of the world(resonators included) It really makes you appreciate it. Heck you can screenshot em and you can use it as a wallpaper! Wtf
Came across you for the first time with this video--a very insightful and detailed review/analysis, thank you! Subscribed, looking forward to viewing more of your content. 👍
I love seeing the destroyed houses in Wuwa, the remains of cities, going inside the remains of an old abandoned cafe, destroyed tanks and mechs, tells you what happened there without any text, really good environmental story telling.
Speaking on the graphics, yes, the "Brightness" read: gamma slider was my first change, and I have mine set right about where yours is. Also a cool feature they use from Unreal Engine 4 is the dynamic skybox - to see it in proper action, go to the Tacet field SW of the map, the one right on the coast. Now watch the sky then watch it as you move inland from there. That, and the details on the big Banyans you can see from any high point in game is just breathtaking.
Biggest fun part of Wuthering Waves, running up walls, like nyoooom- Speaking of occuli, I still have that one electro occuli in that one island that took forever to find and get because it involved you having max stamina, food to recover it, and also planning to get there before you fell and had to redo it all over again. I hate that one.
my god, thank you! people glaze genshin's story so much, when so much of what people supposedly rave about is outside of the game itself, or rather in books that 99% of the playerbase does not consult, and frankly more doesn't equal better, at least for me - I swear there are some people that take quantity over quality even if most of it is just dialogue choked, fanciful and nebulous schlop. Also I dare any creator to go back and replay the entirety of the first few acts, they will soon recall just how slow, stakeless, sappy, jargony and paimon having it was.
I prefer the character designs in Wuwa over Genshin, they're a lot more Teen and Adult targeted while Genshin's designs are for the most part Child and Teen oriented.
About turning the bright of the game down I did and I was like "wtf, is it the same game" I was buffed with the result cuz that was exactly what was brothering me about the colors.
After completing the story and all the quests, now focusing on the exploration progress. I’m at a solid 8/10. A few bugs and crashes initially did damper my play through. The camera is an issue that needs to be fixed and the grinding to me is fun. I like collecting in games. Overall it’s fun and I can’t wait for the 1.1 update.
Honestly i think this is a quite fair review of Wuwa, without hating to much on Genshin. Specially agree with the part about Genshin world being more empty. Now i havent played Genshin since 2nd Fatui boss came out but i did 100% exploration everything until then and i noticed a trend that when you got close to the edges of the maps there would be litterly nothing, like no trees, no grass, just a flat green or yellowish area. Might also be part of the way the world of Wuwa is build up but it definitly feels a lot less empty than Genshin ^^
All my mains have the weapons I want them to have, which is a testament to the awesome weapon banner. The main character is badass; all characters don't feel like a copy-pasted version of another.
Considering PGR's music from Vanguard Sound, I know Kuro can do better in the music department. They ought to bring some of those talents back to do the same for WuWa.
I'm totally in love with Wuthering Waves! I play it on both PC and mobile. When I'm on mobile, I use the Mantis Gamepad Pro app to add controller support since Kuro hasn't added their own yet. I run the mobile version on max graphic at 60fps on both my Samsung S23 Ultra & Samsung Tab S9+.
Your review and Soul of an Artist's review are easily the two best reviews of this game. I do plan on making one myself, if nothing more than to show my appreciation for the hard work kuro put in to make this game such a spectacle.
one complaint of WuWa that I dont see anyone making is the weapon design. Usually people pulling for weapons are giga whales min-maxer or doing it to complete their fav character aesthetic. I think WuWa got bit in the ass because of the nature of the game is and how the weapon style is (so far). The game is too fast-past for you to actually give a damn how the weapon looked, and some attack animations actually cover up the weapon, you also tend to focus hard on the boss to give a damn how your character looks. Most of the weapons style also dont stand out against the character and the background because of its size and camera of the game. Really the only weapons that stand out are broadblade because of how thick it is, and Rectifier because it just float there. The sword is too thin, the pistols is too small, the gauntlet is too small. Im not surprise if the highest weapon banner sales are broadblades and rectifers. Hell, it could also be the reason why Jiyan and Yinline are the first 2 limited character
I am eagerly waiting for the controller support for mobile. Holding a heavy tablet (metal and glass build) for hours can be tiring. Oh and if they do improvements for the EN VAs, I hope they have a feature to allow us to redo the whole story even if we dont recieve rewards.
I don't speak anything other than English and the smallest amount of Spanish so I gave the Chinese/Madarin audio a try and I'm liking it. The voice acting seems decent. None of the characters are annoying or screechy (I'm looking at YOU, English Paimon!). If you are thinking of switching from English and don't have any particular desire for Japanese I'd say give the Chinese audio a try. Also, the Chinese narrator for some of the animated scenes doing the VO work is AWESOME. I wish I spoke Mandarin because he is really hamming it up in this super epic over-the-top style and I love it. Great sounding voice, that guy.
the one geoculus, not sure exactly which one your talking about, but from how you described it, i think the intended way to get it is to use geo travelers E to provide a platform to climb. i remember a couple of them being like that, but i sure as hell know that people wont think about using geo traveler like that because who the fuck keeped it on geo. like even on release, switching back and forth between geo and anemo is one thing, but being on geo at the right time is not, and to switch you must go away from your current position and then come back because we cant switch on the spot. ive actually set my self to force stay on the regions element purely for the fact that unique mechanics can and continue to show up. fontaine with its pneuma and ousia is the most recent example of one of the guranteed ones you get for free is on traveler...even if they arnt nessasary. movement between games, this is always a cursed thing to experience piriod, doesnt matter which game. idk how many times when i go back to play warframe to always try and do so many other games movement tech. but yes i did try and do the triple jump tech in genshin. ive heard some hologram bosses will appear in the tower, as to which diff lvl that they do shove in, this should be intresting as a skill issue compitition. echo exp when i calced lvl 40 tacet fields is actually really close to the same time frame for maxing out a single artifact/relic. infact i think it will get more efficent since were not at max world lvl for what the rewards can give. but it does take more then a days worth of waveplates for 1 to max. if i wanted a rough estimate on what i would say be good is 1 day worth of waveplates to max out 1 5 star echo. it being longer then that for how many we need to even get a working set not even considering good roll was always a pain for any of these games.
To me the best way I can describe the difference between Genshin n WuWa is Genshin is catered for "Rated E" and WuWa is catered for "Rated T" .. WuWa is for more mature audience.. Edit: personally I love the ecstatic of WuWa more!!
I am new to open world gatcha game after some research I decided to go for Wuwa instead of genshin. I felt that the devs are lot better and the mature characters appeal to me more. Tbh I prefer the open world graphics of Wuwa more compared to genshin. Don’t regret a single bit playing Wuwa.
Thank God my 8bit Do Pro 2 controller worked as soon as I plugged it in. I'm not sponsored but I do recommend the controller, it works for Switch and PC.
Out of pocket but I had to laugh at Jiyan for having like 300 belts, not because it looks bad or it’s dumb, it’s just that every time I see it I remember my reaction being “many belts to hold the beast” 😭😭☠️
I agree the models are better in WuWa, but the outfit design is better in Genshin on average. There are a few WuWa characters that are better in both categories. The dudes do look a lot better overall in WuWa. Also, thank you for the tip on brightness setting. That does make a difference lol.
As someone who likes genshin worldbuilding and art style a lot more (i personally don't love character design in both games), i still stopped playing genshin for wuwa. Every new mechanic is so good imo, and i personally don't consider echo farming a problem, exploration is amazing thanks to echoes too, the skip button is amazing and every little qol update was so needed
Something I haven’t seen anyone talk about and I don’t know if it’s in Genshin or not is how the world changes after you do certain quests. There’s that one area with the poison tree that you can’t stay in very long or you pass out and it will pop you out of the area, but after a side quest, I did the other day that tree is just cured and it’s no longer poisonous, and really don’t think I’ve seen anyone talk about at least my world. The tree is just better.
I'm so glad that you're making a review because you did a react a few days ago to someone's review on weathering waves in comparison to genshin and their review was just so bad. Even you said it, so I was like "man hex could make a way better review than he did," and now here you!
Even rank 5 world mobs only last a second before getting annihilated by my encore. The issue is she's so little. Her jump is short and she ran slow... Now i know why they have to nerf her height cuz if not she's going to be the world destroyer @-@
the only thing i hate about genshin is how out of place most npc designs are and i mean it because it always piss me off how goofy most npc designs are, the only exception is Timmy but damn i really hate how most npc looks in Genshin, even HSR npcs are more attractive than genshin's
I have seen a lot of ppl judging wuwa’s character designs, which is kinda upsetting to me. They literally look their age, they literally have different models, and they are very creative with their characteristics. Wuwa character designers have so much talent and they know what they’re doing, especially in context wise; Wuwa’s world setting is a dystopian world that has cities and countries, and in these cities and countries they have different fashion trends, cultures, face features, and much more, which is HUGE and it has a lot of impact in character designs. For example, most people in Jinzhou dress in black traditional clothes, and if you are a explorer then you might have special clothes with special features that acomodate to your needs. Wuwa doesn’t have the need to make characters to pop out more than others, they want them to look equally good, which is why they use so much monotone colors (might also be because it could be overstimulating for the eyes when looking at the landscaping of the game. overstimulating saturations, colors and non-comprehensive/natural aspects for me are like brainrot in my personal opinion lmao) What I have noticed in Genshin is that they don’t give them much context to theirs characters, and they only make them to stand out, they actually focus so much to make them stand out out the characters end up don’t blending with the other. A way you can see this is when you make the characters just a shadow figure, and you can still recognize the character. This is very used by professional artists when they want to create a character. Now, I think Wuwa doesn’t make much use of this because they want to give a more ‘human, relatable, dark’ kinda vibe, so they use this in a minimal way, cuz let’s be honest, no human ever is getting recognized by the shadow wth. They also use a lot of dynamics and figurative shapes, triangles being strong, circles being soft, which has a big impact in humans eyes (for some reason the brain like figure that are interesting, reason why circle and triangles are so common). Now, I might have yapped way too much, but this is an analysis as an artist to those ppl who think the characters are ‘boring’ just cuz they all wear black ☠️ (as if their wardrobe wasn’t full of black clothes too)
My Problem with Genshins Characters is they All use the Same Model for that Type of Character, you know like Tall female or Short Female, Tall Male or Short Male, so all the Genshin Characters feel like they all start to like Blend Together. The World is Stunning. I feel like the issue here is ppl are so used to the World of Teyvat's Bright and Cheery Color Scheme, But Solaris-III is a world Suffering from Mass Devastation hence why its "Post-Apocalyptic" the World will have spots where it looks "Ugly" thats how its suppose to be. But that doesn't mean it can't Still have Vibrant Areas with Beautiful Colors.... I Love this Game and how it Portrays the "Post Apocalyptic" world type. Also just a Slight Side note that no one i've Watched has Mentioned....... The Fall Damage system in Wuwa..... you can Fall for atleast 10 seconds in Wuwa and only lose like 30% Health, Where as in Genshin you fall for 3 seconds and you just die.
I'm not sure if someone mentioned it in chat or in the comments, but it's been controller compatible since release. I use a PlayStation controller on PC and it works so well. I feel more in control with a controller personally. Loving the game so much!
I thought Chixia was one of the better e English VA along with MC, Jianxhi, Yilan, and Yinlin. Taoqi is fine when she's not slipping. I was also going to say I like the more mature look because you can tell who's a kid.
It's like Genshin Impact and Tower of Fantasy came together to make WuWa. TOF had great quality of life for exploration. While GI had the overall presentation and immersion.
did she meantioned that the glider is so much better then in genshin? u actually can glide in any direction. bonus tipp for everybody that uses a amd grafics card, u can up the saturation and contrast in the drivers in addition to lowering the brightness in game, i dont know if nvidia has a similar feature, i would check that. an other tipp if u want to bypass the 60 fps limit u can activate frame gen also in the amd driver and get 120fps. dont use reshade or something like that, anticheat will flag your account. hf
If they ever actually fix the way Yangyang pronounces "Jue" I will be so sad... How scoff her voice actor pronounces the names of things is legitimately what made me fall in love with the game, well that and story time with Scar. The second Jue said Jue the first time and it legit sounded like she dry heaved, I laughed so hard I nearly passed out. It is rough, but it is so charming.
I do think anime aesthetic overall is the game devs misconception of what’s popular, the game or anime happens to be good and gets popular but they think its for the aesthetic while fact of the matter is, black desert, stellar blade, etc with more mature non cartoon art aesthetic is far better, more dark more adult is better art direction overall.
I'm UL 43 and almost got all the 5* weapon, I only lacked the pistol and catalyst but at 45 I get 1 shid that's actually just from the free shid when I reach 45
I remember that Geoculi. It's the one at the start of Liyue. I remember it so clearly because that was probably the only one which i had to google how to reach it. The video showed me to gride from a cliff. That was unnecessarily tedious just like many other things in that game.
@oreo0sama for me. Its when i get higher levels. Like if i create a new account its fine but when i get to like databank 8 or 9 its starts loading and freezing at 10%
Honestly the combat is a super huge hook for Wuwa. Out of everything I expected, it definitely wasnt for a combat system that feels like it came out of a triple A game studio. My hat's off to Kuro games, because that shit is crack cocaine.
Go30(gamers over 30) here. I adore most Hoyo games. Im not one of those fools that makes a rivalry between two strong games but Wuthering Waves gives us a stronger Gacha system and a more adult feel with these characters. VAs are always hit or miss. If you want pinnacle VA material then play Reverse 1999 because the voice acting in that is incredible. Visually WW is stunning. Its going to be a great game with a bright future ahead.
great vid. Much more of a down to earth review from a more common players experience. While I really enjoy many of the other popular streamers, your vid here hit home much better. I couldn't figure out why I'm really enjoying WuWa, even though I loved Genshin and have at least 2.5 expansions over there to catch up. It's because this game is just designed more for the player then Genshin is, and it shows.
Addition to the char. artstyle aspect, I heard that we are most likely will be getting some skins bec. Kurogames have their other game like PGR, which have skins, eating good. This is just the only breakeven for me conpared to genshin So buckle up bois, all those awesome fan art will not be in vain.
Just saying, why not enjoy best of both worlds? Honestly, I wanted WuWa to be very successful so that Genshin will have the reason to improve as well, win-win for us players, I guess?
anyone gone back and done leveling in Genshin? It feels awful. it'd been a while since I played, and WW made me realise just how bad it feels to farm anything in Genshin. It was like pulling teeth. I don't even want to level a new character because of it.
Going back to Genshin's movement doesn't feel that bad to me...because there's nothing left to explore right now anyway 😂 I just do my dailies and get back to WuWa as soon as possible Once we get Natlan I expect it will be a lot more noticeable for me

An exploration in Genshin isnt good I agree as well it was pain. But when I got Ayaka, the traversing around a map was far easier that I felt like devs would nerf her. But they didnt. Even moving on the water! And I hope Kuro adds a character with very similar moving system just as Ayaka has.
Most importantly your main character is not a trash character. You can use her/him all the way because the character is strong
No, most importantly, mining is effortless in this game... T_T
Will be top tier with the rest of mc sequences

For real.

10:28 people forget that the Genshin 1.0 story has what people call “1.0 moments” to this day. Dialogue cuts out, Paimon says wrong lines and some other issues, yet i haven’t seen anyone talk about it when it comes to bugs. And this is still happening to this day.
yeah true lmao, quit shortly after genshin 1.0 update. game was just dogwater, too boring and bland, the world feels so dead outside of the city.
cuz most of those people played the game after like few patch maybe and it get fixed? idk coz i played the game on day 1 and quit right away on ar16 after not getting my 5*, meanwhile in wuwa i got 3 5* in just 2 hours lmao.

The echo battle arena

I wasn't expecting them to be entertaining at all but they are very immersive into the world and its people.

I will say about the Echo in Multiplayer. They are not universal. You can get an echo while others do not. So hunt together for echo's because you never know when an enemy drops an echo.
Also forgot - Data Bank level MATTERS in Multiplayer. If someone is below lvl 15 nobody will get Echo Golds.
@@mercutiodrakmord5291 that's good to know, thanks
You all get echo you just have diffrent rarity and you have to absorve it.
@AMan-lp1jh you all can get echoes, but it's not guaranteed to be from the same enemy. Cousin and I went boss farming and there were a lot of times where 1 of us would not get an echo and the other did.
One thing very interactive with the world design is all the different night and daytime effects. There are multiple moons and some of the scenes are impacted by it drastically, in my experience.
the moon changes? I didn't notice that! Thats a nice detail
Best graphic setting is to turn off everything motion blur and such.
unrelated note but the guy in the chat called calcharo__ at 8:04 saying "that's me" after hexjuice showed tectone's tweet had me laughing for a good bit
for context i have spent ALOT on Genshin, After the ganyu banner i had a bad habit of getting *every* character up till shenhe where i fell out of love with the game(discounting furina and navia who i still got).

I actually didn't know about the compass in the map till you pointed it out. Now i can check out what i am missing for each area.
The reward for side quest, exploration and main quest are genereous too. I can collect 1600 astrites in a couple hours. That's why I love this game.
3:50 Quick note, in hsr and genshin a 5 star can replace your 4 star for a 10 pull
The Violet Banyan is one of my favourite area. It looks so beautiful especially at night. It’s also where I do my wishing
took my vacation for the release and no lifed this game got 100% exploration. At 42 almost 43 account level. Im loving it. Cant wait for patch 1.1 for some QOL and energy cost adjustments.
You can actually quadruple jump-ish by utilizing the first few frames of plunge attack. So... Jump > plunge > grapple > dash.
I'll do you one better, why is gamora! 😅kidding asidem you can do a quintuple Jump.
- Jump > Attack > Flip/Dash > Attack > Grapple.
@@cathetic101And with certain characters like Jiyan you can sextuple jump. Jump > Plunge > Dash > Plunge > Grapple > Skill > Plunge cancel
This works because with certain action orders Jiyan can cancel his plunge animation if you spam the glider before the animation commits to the fall.
I love how when you run out of stamina while climbing/running you don't fall like in genshin the character just slides down
You said something and I'm not really trying to poke at you.
@@hexjuice I just thought of the word we need. Biomes. Wuwa has biomes for their zones.
@@MichaelGreenlaw-dt2jw That actually makes sense and what makes WuWa really unique on its own and different from any open world games.
the fact that I got 6+ ads of genshin from this video alone is making me think that hoyo is calling back all their old players.

I believe I’m 40 hours into Wuwa and had no idea they had the compass in the map to tell you your completion rate. That is awesome!
Biggest fun part of Wuthering Waves, running up walls, like nyoooom-
Speaking of occuli, I still have that one electro occuli in that one island that took forever to find and get because it involved you having max stamina, food to recover it, and also planning to get there before you fell and had to redo it all over again.
I wish all videogame reviews were like yours. You definitelly nailed it. Amazing video. I'm subscribing just for this one
Might also be part of the way the world of Wuwa is build up but it definitly feels a lot less empty than Genshin ^^
note - illusive realm is just an event not an end game. A rouge like mode to goof around with some character that you like.
Agree with u.. we need epic and better music for wuwa... Idk i thought the music and sound now
so lacking for me well not bad at all.
Illusive Realm is so fun. Just tried a Auto Attack Yinlin build (Inferno Rider) my god those dmg numbers xDDDD
can recommend!
I tried a Jiyan + inferno rider ult spam build and it's so much of a mess visually that it becomes difficult to dodge 😂
But it does a ton of damage 😂
Great sounding voice, that guy.
the one geoculus, not sure exactly which one your talking about, but from how you described it, i think the intended way to get it is to use geo travelers E to provide a platform to climb. i remember a couple of them being like that, but i sure as hell know that people wont think about using geo traveler like that because who the fuck keeped it on geo. like even on release, switching back and forth between geo and anemo is one thing, but being on geo at the right time is not, and to switch you must go away from your current position and then come back because we cant switch on the spot. ive actually set my self to force stay on the regions element purely for the fact that unique mechanics can and continue to show up. fontaine with its pneuma and ousia is the most recent example of one of the guranteed ones you get for free is on traveler...even if they arnt nessasary.
movement between games, this is always a cursed thing to experience piriod, doesnt matter which game. idk how many times when i go back to play warframe to always try and do so many other games movement tech. but yes i did try and do the triple jump tech in genshin.
ive heard some hologram bosses will appear in the tower, as to which diff lvl that they do shove in, this should be intresting as a skill issue compitition.
echo exp when i calced lvl 40 tacet fields is actually really close to the same time frame for maxing out a single artifact/relic. infact i think it will get more efficent since were not at max world lvl for what the rewards can give. but it does take more then a days worth of waveplates for 1 to max. if i wanted a rough estimate on what i would say be good is 1 day worth of waveplates to max out 1 5 star echo. it being longer then that for how many we need to even get a working set not even considering good roll was always a pain for any of these games.
completely unrelated but i love how your model's lighting changes to the lighting of the game
Genshin has this too lol, it just took them like 30 updates. (inazuma thunderstorm thingy)
there were other ways to get to that geoculus, like Geo Aether's balls.
I'm so glad that you're making a review because you did a react a few days ago to someone's review on weathering waves in comparison to genshin and their review was just so bad. Even you said it, so I was like "man hex could make a way better review than he did," and now here you!
Yes, this is a real honest review. Even if there are some bias, it’s also clearly stated before being said.
Even rank 5 world mobs only last a second before getting annihilated by my encore. The issue is she's so little. Her jump is short and she ran slow... Now i know why they have to nerf her height cuz if not she's going to be the world destroyer @-@
I hope small or kid resonators can dodge easily in the game bcuz they jump too low, I hope kuro devs can see that

the only thing i hate about genshin is how out of place most npc designs are and i mean it because it always piss me off how goofy most npc designs are, the only exception is Timmy but damn i really hate how most npc looks in Genshin, even HSR npcs are more attractive than genshin's
Wuwa doesn’t have the need to make characters to pop out more than others, they want them to look equally good, which is why they use so much monotone colors (might also be because it could be overstimulating for the eyes when looking at the landscaping of the game. overstimulating saturations, colors and non-comprehensive/natural aspects for me are like brainrot in my personal opinion lmao)
What I have noticed in Genshin is that they don’t give them much context to theirs characters, and they only make them to stand out, they actually focus so much to make them stand out out the characters end up don’t blending with the other.
Now, I might have yapped way too much, but this is an analysis as an artist to those ppl who think the characters are ‘boring’ just cuz they all wear black ☠️ (as if their wardrobe wasn’t full of black clothes too)
I found doing the 100% map completion in wuwa 30x easier than genshins map exploration imo
The best QoL is cooldowns resets when you restart a challenge

You can get 2 5star, or 1 5 star with 4 stars. You can posibly get 5 star as low as first 10 pull.

This is just the only breakeven for me conpared to genshin
So buckle up bois, all those awesome fan art will not be in vain.
All I have to say
God calcharo is SO FUCKING HOT LIKE WHAAAATTTT IM HAVING LIKE A GAY AWAKENING WITH CALCHARO AND JIYAN DUDE😭
I don't even want to level a new character because of it.
well said also Calcharo has the same VA as sephiroth and dante
I've lost every single 75/25 on the light cone banner in HSR. Nice to finally "win" the weapons I actually want, lmao.
Going back to Genshin's movement doesn't feel that bad to me...because there's nothing left to explore right now anyway 😂 I just do my dailies and get back to WuWa as soon as possible
Once we get Natlan I expect it will be a lot more noticeable for me
I dont like the pity system of WuWa. Soft pity is too high based on my experience.
Hex come back to English Wuthering Waves. The new Yinlin quest, the voices are significantly better, even Female Rover.
