But the guards at the tomb are allowed to correct the public when they step out of line and become a** wipes. The Royal guards aren't allowed to respond in any way.
They can use lethal force , but they usually hold tourists to a different standard and give them WAY to many warnings. I’ve seen videos of them giving people exactly what they deserve . These men are to be treated with nothing but respect. Also, if anyone patriotic sees you harassing them, its a good way to get your bell rung . Those who get away with harassing them are VERY fortunate Its the equivalent of walking up to a marine and calling him silly names. You’ll see all 50 stars he stands for That being said They are doing this as a sign of respect . Not to harass Looks like he was upset before these people stepped in to comfort him
There was an incident and guard is actually getting inspected and readjusted his clothing. The cue to military guard is the non response of the royal guard indication he is in command and ok else he says relieve me of my command
There was an incident and this was straight after. The soldier was fixing his hat hair thingy and that's why they apologized and said what ever else they said to him and put the chain back up.
I tied my cadet sergeant to his bed with bungee ropes as a joke, and the whole platoon and myself had to stand on parade for 4 hours with out moving a muscle for a punishment. If one of us moved they added a extra 30 minutes. It’s pure discomfort and your mind starts crumbling after a few hours. Running 10 miles with your full gear on is golden compared to standing for hours on end.
I've never been in the military, so i can't say if your sergeant just had a lousy sense of humor (?) or if you were committing what us civilians call a "sex crime", but fyi on the civvie side you get a lot worse punishment than a bit of standing or running, its called prison (you might know it as the brig?)...so you may want to knock it off when you inevitability end up back on the side of the masses who can't just duke it out w AK's on a level playing field, but: 💯 I thank you for your service, regardless; it is sacrifices by people like you that make this country great, and keep us safe from foreign threat: if no one has told you yet today, I appreciate you 🤝 🫡 ("it" behavior referring to any sort of kidnapping, false imprisonment, assault and/or battery of any degree, riding roughshod over any "no means no" boundaries = accusing someone of not being able to take a joke falls flat when you are the only one laughing)... ...and if none of this applies to you and you are a just a gentle soul with a wink wink sense of humor, so much the better for humankind, my good sir! hopefully this bit of advice, while not applicable to you, will find its intended audience by happenstance some future day, and inspire a change of attitude or behavior for the better, if one has a mind to read what is arguably an off-topic novella in a youtube comment section... ... until then, namaste 🙏 👍✌️👨✈️💂🏼♂️🙋♀️ and good day 🌄

Well said. It's ceremonial to be sure but it stands for more than a weird ritual. Not saying it's not a weird ritual. As an American, we are certainly full of our own military traditions that can seem to make no sense but once you take a moment to appreciate the history of every movement, every portion of the uniform, and or his acceptance of the duty and his relief of duty. One begins to feel a bit more weight of past souls giving to the ideal. Congratulations on a wonderful military tradition while not imposing said tradition on the public. Good on ya'll.
He is either mad bc someone came to close or touched him (which would also be a reason why they closed that area and why they fixed his helmet) or its the heat of the summer paired with the thick coat and all that clothing. Most people dont understand how hard it is to stand and walk around in the heat with all that on.
So gentle the way the soldier put the horse hair straight on the helmet of his fellow guard. They all need protecting from the ones who go to torment them 🚧
He seems in distress, he looks pale and might need a glass of water. He's trying his best not to faint after standing straight for who knows how long. My respects to him.
He is not having a melt down. He had a interaction with a person from the crowd. This is why the police and his NCO showed up. The chain went up so they could determine what happened and if he needed to be changed out. The moving was just him trying to get as much movement in his legs and feet as possible before ehe had to go back to standing like a statue.

Poor lad looks white as a sheet. Hope he was OK. And for those who are terminally confused. The guy in camo is a fellow trooper, on stable duty. This is a military duty so there's no, "I have a headache can I abandon my post" however if he looks really bad or like he might pass out, they'll relieve him.
To be honest, I don’t think I’d want a job like that. It takes a lot of emotional and mental strength let alone standing there in place being gawked at, abused and ridiculed from disrespectful tourist. I feel for them as well as the horses. 😢

How does no one understand whats going on? Hes try to talk but the strap is basically entering his mouth when he does. He is unable to adjust this or hold the strap with his hand as he must maintain posture, so he tries to avoid the strap entering his mouth by scewing his mouth to the side and above the strap. It might appear strange as he is talking softly, and we are viewing this from a zoomed in camera, so we cant hear him but we can hear the policeman and soldier asking him questions.

Running 10 miles with your full gear on is golden compared to standing for hours on end.
I've never been in the military, so i can't say if your sergeant just had a lousy sense of humor (?) or if you were committing what us civilians call a "sex crime", but fyi on the civvie side you get a lot worse punishment than a bit of standing or running, its called prison (you might know it as the brig?)...so you may want to knock it off when you inevitability end up back on the side of the masses who can't just duke it out w AK's on a level playing field, but:

("it" behavior referring to any sort of kidnapping, false imprisonment, assault and/or battery of any degree, riding roughshod over any "no means no" boundaries = accusing someone of not being able to take a joke falls flat when you are the only one laughing)...

@@Johny-JJITo stand there. I don’t know if there’s ever any real risk they’re taking, not sure how fast they can move in that, always found it odd, the guards have guards, as if something does happen, they’re not armed. THEIR guards are tho. Assuming they have to stand for the Royal Family, regardless of if they’re under threat. Their job is just to stand there. Keep up appearances? Old habits die hard? I truly don’t see any use other than flamboyance. “We are an ARMED CASTLE, housing ROYALTY, we must look as such!” K truly don’t know.😅
I’ve seen some very nice comments about this young guardsman. He just looks very kind. Even though no visible meltdown, I hope he was Ok. The soldier was treating him very kindly. From what I’ve seen, it seems they all genuinely care for one another. Hope to visit one day but until then…Cheers🥂🇺🇸
EDIT: I get soldier fatigue. I tried cashiering in my 20’s and fainted after a couple of separate close calls, prior to. When they announced that assistance was needed on aisle 6, they weren’t kidding😂”came to” in paramedics vehicle on way to hospital. I admire military men/women that stand for such periods of time and anyone else, from cashiers to surgeons👍
Thank you for sharing your experience. We usually just pass by everyone in life, not comprehending their situation. You gave us a "real person" experience. And, yours was a short length of time. I can't imagine what these soldiers endure. I appreciate your sharing.
Is that a thing in America that cashiers have to stand all day?
The guy in fatigues is just one of his mates. They don't wear the fancy uniforms all the time.
@@Ghreyl yup. Full-time in the US is 40 hrs, so you will basically be standing for 8 hrs with a short 30 mins break
@@freya4460 As a...cashier? What purpose does that serve?
A lot of these guards have come straight from combat, they get these duties to settle them back into a British life, they are battle ready and wired for a fight. Treat them with respect.
Mad respect for these soldiers ❤❤❤
