I was really hoping you’d do some content on this, Carl! So thank you! 🙌🏻 I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t excited when I saw a pre-made box released with this driver in, would love to hear how it compares to my 10AS 🤔
I've got the 12" model and am impressed for how slim of a box it is. It bangs really well for a small enclosure sealed sub.
Yeah same here, plenty of power and they hit hard.
I heard that think a year ago from a audison rep….Heard it before i saw it, i thought it was a 12 inch full ported box…Loved the dynamics of such a small 10 inch..
a month ago, i got a JL TW3 in a sealed box for my truck, wanted to install a dual 10 sealed box so i "stole" the JL TW3 from my car, and put both in my truck. the Stealth-box made for my car needed something. .and with nearly the same parameters on the Hertz MPS250 i got one for the car, and in the stealthbox it was a tight fit (the outside diameter of the Hertz is something like 10.8") - i made a very slight adjustment in the gain to give this Hertz about 450 watts, and i can say for certain it hits a bit lower, and sounds a bit "tighter" than the JL.
i am not 100% sure about the stealth-box volume but i am sure it's somewhere around 0.5 cubit foot. perfect for the mille 250. it's a great sounding sub!
Deciding between the Hertz 10 inch cba250 or the soundstage 10 inch any recommendations?
I have 2 12s I’ve blown 2 sets don’t know if me or the speakers
Hertz. I always wondered if that brand was good or not
I've got a JL 10W1V3 in a 18l box.
I'm curious how much better the Hertz perform
Maybe i will buy one of them 🤔
What do you think?
This sub has more mechanical excursion and higher power handling than the W1V3 as well as more surface area. This will be an upgrade for sure, it will play lower better and should sound a little louder overall
What he said ^^
Could have done without a shot of your "undercarriage" but great review!
lol that tool is to take the grill off. Left if hertz logo near screw.
Also how is it now that it’s broken in a bit?
Where were you when I needed you!?!?!
After a bit of time it's still power hungry but hit's real hard. Less musical than the W6 but harder hitting. Subjectively equal, imho.
I saw someone selling it stating it had a 500W pre-installed amp, this is just the boss and driver right?
Yeah this is a passive design (no amp) but you can get a similar active option with an amp on board.
Would this be an upgrade I’d notice over my JL w3 “8” micro sub? Also I notice They do a “12” version is there much difference? Thanks for any advice 👍
You will notice it definitely plays lower than the 8W3, should also be louder
Carl i use ferels on my sub power wires from the amp to change enclosures when the mrs and son are in the car from mild to wild no degregation of cables or just tin them can we get a run through what you use persnaly. just seen the w7 i didnt know they could go in such a small sealed box got me thinking what i can use next.
Cheers Steve, mine are already tinned (not a ferrule fan) for such abuse.
My system is in the mk7 videos. That’s a 10”W6 🙏🏻
Question, I have the Audison APBX 10 DS in a hatchback, have almost 600W in my amp to give it, would upgrading to this be a big and noticeable difference in thump / power / loudness? Looking for a bit more than i am getting from audison but like the sound overall
Yes 100%, this unit is much more robust than the APBX10. The Hertz unit is more of a brute where the Audison enclosure is a little more SQ.
Good review again mate 👍🏻🔉🔉
Thanks 👍
Hi. This hertz compared to alpine type rs sb12 ?
I don't have a comparison for you, unfortunately.
@@Studioincardommage.
Would 2 of those on the floor at the back of my truck work together?
What truck are we talking about Joseph?
This or the Audison APBX 10 DS if i've only got 350W to give it?
The Audison with that sort of power.
Fair bruv I bet drops 🤛🏿🔉🔉
It bangs brother!
That should sound better in a custom box.
As would any prefab sub i bet.
True, have you tried the 12inch version?
