I definitely felt this, there are so many sick electric based characters they could have gone with, Black Lightning, Static Shock, Livewire, etc. Plus, Raiden's design wasn't great with the whole chest window thing. I think the only thing that justified his inclusion for me was that Raiden's super was insanely cool, but otherwise, it just felt like a wasted opportunity for other characters to shine.

I remember when scorpion made his debut and the nrs players freaked because “how do u block a fast teleport when u have to press back to block”. Having recently come off of a marvel vs capcom 3 grind it always amused me since blocking scorpions teleport was a joke when comparing it to a zero incoming mixup or a Dante teleport mixup, both backed up by the use of assists to make them even more ambiguous.

As a Sub-Zero main in IJ2 myself, I can tell you that he is higher than mid-tier. He is high-mid tier character in IJ2, his ability to control the pace of the match and be played both offensively and defensively is just awesome, and some of the characters that you would think can shut down his clone can actually be countered if you play the MU properly. Sub-Zero is a very good character in IJ2.

That was me with Atrocious lol, it’s been years and I can’t remember his tier, but i remember pulling so many combos, juggles, super moves, super move combos/juggles and my ability to summon the 🐈 and my version of him our cat would shoot two blasts and I had a move that made him tackle/latch on and scratch enemies🤣. It’s kinda sad though I stopped playing online though cause players would get mad at me and start spamming ESPECIALLY DEADSHOT AND FUCKING DR FATE. Mannnnn you could never close distance on him. Like bro at least throw one punch on me please ☠️
It’s honestly really interesting how NetherRealm handled the MK characters in Injustice. One thing I like in particular is that despite their being no blood or gore they still manage to give Scorpion Sub-Zero and Raiden incredibly cool super moves while still staying true to the characters. And visually I always LOVED Scorpion and Sub-Zero’s redesigns for the Injustice series. They’ve definitely learned a LOT from Mortal Kombat VS. DC Universe
Seeing how they handle the MK characters in Injustice honestly gives me hope for an MK vs DC sequel, the MK characters manage to be brutal in their moves in Injustice yet show no any actual gore

One of my favorite memories is injustice 2’s release day. My GameStop was having an injustice 1 tournament and the top 3 winners got an injustice 2 jersey. I won it against a Zod as scorpion. I took him and green lantern all the way.
I never got mine. I was in 3rd place. The store excuse was to give ppl the opportunity to get the shirt for those who didn't came today. Honestly what was the tournament for then.
Man I was there for both of the CEO events in 2013 and 15. Legit the MKX finals were some of the most boring finals I've ever witnessed and I remember the crowd being some combination of bored and pissed as every match was Tanya vs Tanya as they teleport around like crazy. Oddly enough I vaguely remember a patch for Tanya was released later that night after finals (which Ed Boon was in attendance fyi) or the day after.

Been playing IJ2 a lot recently and I genuinely believe we need another MKvsDCU but rated M. Imagine the combos from injustice with the brutality of mortal kombat. I think it’s time we stop pretending like DC superheroes are goody-two shoes, the comics are sometimes super gory so why not bring it all together !?
I could see it, but some characters would require the use of alternate interpretations/variants. Like, mainstream Batman has a fairly strict "no kill" rule; that doesn't apply to Flashpoint Batman (a.k.a. Doctor Batman, Thomas Wayne) or the nihilist Owlman (from Crisis on Infinite Earths, iirc). Injustice Superman already sort of solves how you get the Big Blue Boy Scout to get more brutal, but there arr still some characters were you can't really cross those lines with. Not if you want DC to greenlight the project, that is. This is part of the perceived weakness some comic book fans had decades ago between DC and Marvel; DC had many more "role models" that made it appealing for adults to introduce comics to their children, but Marvel had characters who were more morally gray and/or willing to kill to get results.

Sub-Zero in Injustice 2 was my number 1 main in that game, alongside Batman. He was so well done. Scorpion in Gods Among Us was great and I did play him, but not as much as other characters. Raiden, well, I wasn't the biggest fan of his inclusion. I only got him for the Black Lightning skin.

To be fair, at least every dlc character in injustice gods among us (except lobo sadly) were pretty OP on launch, i don't play injustice gods among us as much as the 4 netherrealms i currently have, but i know enough that atleast 5 out of the 6 dlcs were pretty crazy in their own way on launch.
I can't believe DC characters are canon to Mortal Kombat make me think the Marvel, Street Fighter, Tekken, Killer Instinct, Dragonball Z etc universes are all canon to the MK universes.
The funniest thing i’ve found about Scorpion being useless in the final patch of Injustice. Is that when he was transferred over to mobile many moons ago, that sentiment was carried over. Mk mobile has sort of a Yugioh balance where characters who have the best traits attached to them are favored. His trait is pretty useless. A simple 25% damage boost to fire dot’s. That’s about it, very cut and dry
This video was fantastic to watch and I didn't remember how good and deep of a game Injustice 1 was when watching the scorpion footage. One video Idea that I was thinking was when you mentioned how scorpion was absolutely butchered in a patch, and I thought of how they obliterated MK11 Sheeva in 2 patches (The absolute nullifying of Dragon Stance + the absolute obliteration of stomp) where she went from arguable top 5 to absolutely bottom 5, it would be a fun video to look at characters who where destroyed by patches. I know there are plenty to choose from just that right now I cannot pinpoint some of them so that would be a fun video although I know pretty complicated
Also as a scorpion "loyalist" in the MK series (Only game I realistically didn't play scorpion was MK9 across the games I have) it is fun to see that Hellfire scorpion was born in Injustice
injustice scorpion is still one of my favorite designs for the character, he looked so good in that game. i was really glad they brought it back for mkx even though he was kinda weak there too
Now that Netherealm has had some great games recently, I wonder if they should try to do a sequel to MK vs DC. Especially since they've been able to do them separately, maybe they could try tag team like MvC to change it up from both franchises, which would also encourage a larger roster.
Injustice 2 Sub was so fun it kind of ruins MKX Sub. Having weapons and clone locked behind separate variations felt so limiting after Injustice 2 just let him do everything.
The fact that sub-zeros punch at the start of the video perfectly syncs with the music shows how much love and care goes into these videos! Great stuff
I can’t wait to see Johnny Cage in an Injustice game. He seems like he’d be really fun. Personally, if I could choose his model I would want him to either 1: Go all in on the Hero outfit 2: Only wear a little eye mask or 3: Be a Super Hero version of Ninja Mime.
I think Raiden would have been so much better recieved if he were the alt skin and Black Lightning was the main skin. Competitively it wouldn't make a difference, but it would have been neat
DANG!!! i remember how broken scorpion was during the injustice days, he was the easiest character to use, maybe because i was used to his mk9 counterpart, and his design was sick, no wonder it came back for mkx as a skin, too bad that sub zero and raiden designs didnt return for mk11. something i always liked regarding sub zero was that that the whole ice clone thing was easier to use here than in mkx, it was pretty obvious since they announced injustice 2 that sub zero would make it, and i love the fact that his ending makes clear that he is from mkx when he mentions kotal kahn. i will always remember how enraged many people were with raiden,personally i didnt mind it, maybe his design was kinda ugly but you can customize it so......i think raiden was a weird way to start the mk11 marketing, i mean we had dark raiden in mkx post credits, so including raiden in nrs next game was kida obvious to prepare us, also he had two traits, if you customize it he could use the thunder traps from his "Storm lord" variation from mkx. my predictions for mk guests if we get injustice 3 would be Fire God Liu Kang and (if they do two guests again) Johnny Cage
I was super happy when raiden was revealed as part of pack 2 dlc bc he's my favorite MK character, even tho he kinda sucks in every NRS game lol. His default design in IJ2 is indeed ugly but there's a lot of gears to choose to make him look pretty cool. Liu Kang and Jhonny Cage would be nice guest characters but I would trade Jhonny for Kitana. I think her gameplay would fit perfectly in the game.
I didn’t know injustice used the classic back to block. I assumed with it being a NRS title that it just used a block button like MK. I wonder if MK will ever switch to B2B.

I just got a theory seeing as not only have three mk characters hav appeared in injustice and all have referred to these events multiple times and even the joker has appeared in a mk game and even remembers meeting them before, my theory is Netherrealm may have been hinting at a possible MK vs DC 2

I was hoping the different abilites Sub can have equipped(Frozen Aura, ice port, etc) would be talked about. I'm curious how any of those abilities would affect his play style, ice port in particular.
I wish more moves for characters just got transferred over from game to game. It's just easier to get into these games instead of learning a the same character again every time.

Capes are awful in Injustice. They’re as stiff as plastic ones and cover an entire character’s silhouette when their back is facing the camera.
I2 Sub is my favorite look for the character.

The funniest thing i’ve found about Scorpion being useless in the final patch of Injustice. Is that when he was transferred over to mobile many moons ago, that sentiment was carried over. Mk mobile has sort of a Yugioh balance where characters who have the best traits attached to them are favored. His trait is pretty useless. A simple 25% damage boost to fire dot’s. That’s about it, very cut and dry

This video was fantastic to watch and I didn't remember how good and deep of a game Injustice 1 was when watching the scorpion footage. One video Idea that I was thinking was when you mentioned how scorpion was absolutely butchered in a patch, and I thought of how they obliterated MK11 Sheeva in 2 patches (The absolute nullifying of Dragon Stance + the absolute obliteration of stomp) where she went from arguable top 5 to absolutely bottom 5, it would be a fun video to look at characters who where destroyed by patches. I know there are plenty to choose from just that right now I cannot pinpoint some of them so that would be a fun video although I know pretty complicated
Also as a scorpion "loyalist" in the MK series (Only game I realistically didn't play scorpion was MK9 across the games I have) it is fun to see that Hellfire scorpion was born in Injustice
injustice scorpion is still one of my favorite designs for the character, he looked so good in that game. i was really glad they brought it back for mkx even though he was kinda weak there too

Now that Netherealm has had some great games recently, I wonder if they should try to do a sequel to MK vs DC. Especially since they've been able to do them separately, maybe they could try tag team like MvC to change it up from both franchises, which would also encourage a larger roster.

Injustice 2 Sub was so fun it kind of ruins MKX Sub. Having weapons and clone locked behind separate variations felt so limiting after Injustice 2 just let him do everything.
I love how Scorpion's chain dart in Injustice 1 is an actual scorpion stinger.
The fact that sub-zeros punch at the start of the video perfectly syncs with the music shows how much love and care goes into these videos! Great stuff

I can’t wait to see Johnny Cage in an Injustice game. He seems like he’d be really fun. Personally, if I could choose his model I would want him to either 1: Go all in on the Hero outfit 2: Only wear a little eye mask or 3: Be a Super Hero version of Ninja Mime.

I think Raiden would have been so much better recieved if he were the alt skin and Black Lightning was the main skin. Competitively it wouldn't make a difference, but it would have been neat
I used Raiden online. Loved using him an I enjoyed an could pull off my combos an set ups..granted his extra moves are better than his base moves

Scorpion being in Injustice also gave us the great Injustice skin in MKX so I'd say that his crossover was worth it.
DANG!!! i remember how broken scorpion was during the injustice days, he was the easiest character to use, maybe because i was used to his mk9 counterpart, and his design was sick, no wonder it came back for mkx as a skin, too bad that sub zero and raiden designs didnt return for mk11.
something i always liked regarding sub zero was that that the whole ice clone thing was easier to use here than in mkx, it was pretty obvious since they announced injustice 2 that sub zero would make it, and i love the fact that his ending makes clear that he is from mkx when he mentions kotal kahn.
i will always remember how enraged many people were with raiden,personally i didnt mind it, maybe his design was kinda ugly but you can customize it so......i think raiden was a weird way to start the mk11 marketing, i mean we had dark raiden in mkx post credits, so including raiden in nrs next game was kida obvious to prepare us, also he had two traits, if you customize it he could use the thunder traps from his "Storm lord" variation from mkx.
my predictions for mk guests if we get injustice 3 would be Fire God Liu Kang and (if they do two guests again) Johnny Cage
I was super happy when raiden was revealed as part of pack 2 dlc bc he's my favorite MK character, even tho he kinda sucks in every NRS game lol. His default design in IJ2 is indeed ugly but there's a lot of gears to choose to make him look pretty cool.
Liu Kang and Jhonny Cage would be nice guest characters but I would trade Jhonny for Kitana. I think her gameplay would fit perfectly in the game.

I just got a theory seeing as not only have three mk characters hav appeared in injustice and all have referred to these events multiple times and even the joker has appeared in a mk game and even remembers meeting them before, my theory is Netherrealm may have been hinting at a possible MK vs DC 2

Seeing this video, man I loved playing all of them in Injustice even despite the backlash with the later involvements. Still wish either Scorpion or Sub Zero were in Smash Ultimate, but beggars can’t be choosers
