On the subject of the item descriptions and tinted rock / lucky penny visual changes, I'd say they *are* cheating, but like... in the benign sense? Like just cuz you're cheating doesn't mean it's ruining the experience in any meaningful way. It'd be like modding a pc version of some card matching game to highlight potential matches you could make, if that makes any sense.
I think lucky penny visual change to make it easier to see for colorblind people should be considered an accommodation and not cheating (if we consider cheating to gain individuals an unfair advantage), even though the lucky penny is supposed to be not easy to see. Because colorblind people already have difficulty to seeing certain colors that people who aren't colorblind don't have, so it is probably the case that while other people can identify the lucky penny if they look closely, Frost cannot see it at all without some form of visual changes. This game has no official colorblind mode to my knowledge so I think Frost is perfectly justified to using that mod without considering it to be cheating, "benign" or not. He's not gaining an advantage over non-colorblind folks, he's just leveling the playing field.
In terms of external item description, i know that the developers probably didn't include the descriptions of the items to make it challenging or something, but there's hundreds of items in the game and some items are not apparent in what they do from the get go, so when something happens, you'd have to wonder which item did that specific thing. It's frustrating, to say the least. And you already need to be somewhat experienced in order to have mods enabled (believe you need to beat mom at least), so i think it's a massive quality of life mod that only helps increase the enjoyability of the game rather than take away from its challenging aspect (the actual fighting enemies part).
@@cameronschyuder9034 I absolutely agree! To be clear, I'm not against quality of life mods at all, especially purely visual mods to make lucky pennies and tinted rocks easier to see. That's what I mean by benign cheating. It makes something easier than was initially intended for the game, but it's not actually like... changing anything for the core gameplay loop? It's only cheating in the most benign and textbook sense.

Can someone explain how this synergy works?
I.V. Bag is his active item which “hits” him for half a heart and drops coins, curse of the tower spawns 6 troll bombs when he gets hit, and varicose veins shoots out tears every time he is hit. He uses I.V. Bag to hit himself and spawn bombs and tears. This is especially good on tainted maggy because she has a lot of temporary health and killing things drops hearts, so it’s essentially and infinite combo

Perthro only works on item pedestals. You're thinking of the D20 (but I believe troll bombs are immune to that effect)

I dont know much about Isaac so i wanna know why you randomly take half a heart in damage
The character he is playing is tainted maggy, she starts with 2 real hearts and all other hearts she gets is temporary hp
To add on to what's already been said, tainted magdelene's gimmick is that she loses half a heart every 10 seconds. Her temporary hp forms creep on the ground (so she's bleeding basically all the time, when above 2 red hearts)
