Two shows I'm absolutely loving at the moment: Silo and From,both have a great cast.
Really do! People Ilove plus new faces. -Matt
For me, this episode opened up two big mysteries. The first is if Juliette's mom was taken out by someone. And the second is how the hell did Holston knew so much.
Like....He told Juliette and Gloria to keep the flowers, so he was the first to ever find out the cameras. But how? If Gloria didn't know, then the flamekeepers didn't know either. How did he find out??
I hope we get a big flashback episode with Holston! He did have a long time to figure things out. -Matt
@@MattandJessTVmaybe Holstein’s parents worked in that department and probably told him since he was a kid to be carful around mirrors? It does seem odd that everyone from judicial is black but the other departments they are white? Or maybe the racial casting is just a coincidence?

I loved it when Juliette threw the blanket over the mirror! She couldn't do anything about them watching, so she gave them a warning. The warning being, "I know, about the mirrors, and I can share this information with everybody. I am not to be reckoned with." This can be really scary for them, because they really don't know for sure how much she really does know, but they to realize she knows enough to be extremely dangerous to their agenda, and powerful in influencing others.

I think Gloria is alive for the reason that just happened. They keep her drugged to prevent spread, yet alive to see who talks to her and for what. They want to know who else is involved.
Yea, that is an interesting point! Still a risk, but I get that. -Matt
Think they kept her alive because with all her theories it would be way to suspicious if she suddenly died. Better to let people think she is crazy and her theories just delusions.

In the last episode there was a child with a parent releasing small toys into the stairwell and they just floated down like a helicopter. Juliette paused and watched them and it looked like she had some idea. I felt like that scene was there for a reason, and that she would find a way to jump down from the stairs and land safely.
Regarding those who went out to clean, I think they really died not because of the poisonous air outside, but rather due to some poison (cyanide) put in the breathing device.
There is definitely a good chance of that! It only adds to the mystery here. -Matt
What u guys said about Juliette making a mistake when she covers the mirror... I don't think she is a very strategic person lol
Like... she stormed in Judge Meadows apartment asking about Gloria... which is like confessing to having the book 😅

Matt agrees with that 100%, like he mentioned in the video she's done some impulsive stuff. I was more surprised because we've seen her take her time with more strategic moves like the Pez Dispenser in Doug's apartment. I was surprised by the move to cover the mirror the way she did and not do it in a way that buys her more time. - Jess

The Georgia book was amazing. The ocean is like Shell Beach in the movie Dark City except everyone doesnt know about it as a collective planted memory. Maybe the water below the silo connect to an outside ocean and she has to overcome her fear.

I like Billings too, Matt. I think he will help Juliette, because he wants to protect his family from harm.
I totally agree about Julliette's WRONG move, for god's sake it is a closed universe there, there is no where to run to or hide in as far as we can see and everyone knows everyone in this small community, Why did she do that to herself and went full-on emegency mode risking her life?? She knows people are being killed for knowing stuff, she could have easily dealt with it in a much subtle and smarter way in order to gain more time to find out stuff instead of running for her life...

Another mystery! Who is Juliettes mentor in the down low really? She gives me Snowpiercer film vibes about engineers partner in the tail.
The fact that "He" was Simms, how about no!! We will have to wait and see who is truly behind things.

So, why did Gloria not simply fall over the balcony like, well, all the others? Convenient. Neat. No loose ends. And they've tried to tip Juliette over the balcony once already, I don't put it past them to try again. We're on our third lead actor on this show, any bets for who will be number four...? Billings? Bernard? Walker? Lukas?
Hahaha I feel like Lukas is the one I'd get along with best, but that's probably not the criteria here. -Matt
This show is incredible. All apple does is pump out hits show after show. For all mankind is one of my favorite shows of all time. It’s about NASA and an alternative reality. What happpens if Russia beats us to the moon in the 60’s
Yea, I've seen a little bit! They do have great stuff: This, Ted Lasso, Platonic, The Afterparty. Watched a little of The Big Door Prize too. -Matt

Holsten cud have vouched for Gloria to be kept alive, coz it seems like tht was his safe space and learned from her possibly.
I feel like covering the mirror was the only way she cud retrieve the hard drive without Sims knowing tht she has it

So the interim Mayor... Does he know it all and was pushing Juliette to get herself in a corner, or doss he really not know? They were making it look like he knew stuff and had authority, but that may be a red herring?
I'm really not sure, but I don't trust him at all. He's the one person that really benefited from the mayor being poisoned so I think he's gotta be behind a lot of it. - Jess

The reason why they allow the people to hope to have kids is because that is the system they use. They want people to think they are part of the society and that they tried but they were sterile or related. They have a public rule as to who can try to have children, and for those they do not want to have children, they make them think they qualify but they find a way for them not to have children. As to why Dr's wife had children after Gloria says she was confused as to why she was allowed to have children, well maybe the husband had something to do w it. He may know more than he says, or he may have simply said that in nursery there wasn't anyone listening because there were no people there. I think its the former, but could be the latter. Interesting show and can't wait to see it through. About when original Sheriff goes out to "clean", anyone else see that when he looked to where his wife was supposed to be, he didn't see her? I wonder if Sims is doing some cgi there for benefit of Silo. I wonder if he as access to the outside, and locks up all the people that go out, as to why those that left never came back. Also, possible big mystery. When IT guy that is always in cafeteria said he was watching the "lights"/stars, that they moved (we know they move), but formation he said is bizarre. He said they move in a W shape. Here they either move across the sky in one direction as planet turns, or we see some planets move day to day, but its not in a W shape, more like circular. Although there is retrograding when it as we pass around the sun, but not in that W shape he showed. Two big mysteries I don't hear many talking about.
I know that we've talked about the possibly CGI on the outside before! I still think there is way more going on there than we are aware. -Matt
It’s not moving in a “w” that’s the shape of the constellation, it’s called Cassiopeia (a queen) because the constellation looks like a crown 👑

The keeping her alive thing doesn't make sense because they switched some things around from the book, keeping the same elements but in different order, places or people. They made a bit of a mess in the jumble.
We haven't read the book, but for the show it didn't make any sense to me that they would keep her alive. They've killed people for a lot less on this show and Gloria's information is extremely dangerous as we are seeing now that Juliette has it too. - Jess

The sequence of events were engaging and it drew you in. I agree that Gloria was too dangerous with what she knew. It was unrealistic that she was delusional then suddenly lucid. I am excited for the next three episodes. I hope they can stick the landing.
i agree it was a bit unbelievable that she went from being in a drugged state for all that time to find in a matter of mins even with the other drug used, but for me the most unbelievable part was that they would allow someone that knew that much, the only person left, to be alive. I gotta believe there's a bigger reason for it. - Jess
@@MattandJessTV Exactly, you shouldn't have someone who can give away too much around. She should have disappeared!
@@nadia-hopeadderley8986 especially if she's the last of the flame keepers. there's no others so if she is disappeared then the Silo's issues are gone. It just didn't make sense to me of why she would be kept alive. - Jess
I’m pretty sure Gloria will be dead by next episode , unless she is somehow related to him
In the mid through portion of this episode, when Juliette was conversing with Lukas while they stared outside in search of stars (that were missing again,) I thought the stars were deliberately removed b/c whomever delegated to have her followed & watch her every move didn't want Juliette to figure out the connection between the stars & Silo. However, my suspicion on conspiracy being plotted against Juliette suddenly subsided as soon as the stars re-emerged. However, my conspiracy theory could still exist, which more details will be revealed later on.🤔🤔
I think a lot of possibilities are still in the air! Feels like that is a big part of the fun right now. -Matt
Also the episode ended with the people down below talking about how they would be punished for the rebellion. Could another rebellion be the answer?

I also think Juliette showed her hand too early when she covered the mirror w a blanket. I'm just going to take that as that writers want show to move fast now. Yet now she is going to have to hide. She can't be seen. May go to the down low, since she already has the hard drive. Makes it feel as if next episode is season finale. When she heard Holsten had hid something, she had to act fast and she probably figured it was time to act fast. I wonder if she found out why her mom killed herself or left.
I agree and because we've seen her both be impulsive and strategic (like with planting the Pez in Doug's apartment) it really was a toss up on how she was going to handle that two way mirror. I was surprised she made it obvious to the people watching she knew because she doesn't know how much danger she was in or putting Gloria in by doing that. - Jess
Where do camera staff live? Do they live outside and its all an experiment? Could even be a short experiment and that their memories were altered as they mentioned that they put something in the water to have people forget.
Camera monitors are severed, obviously...

I assume he was killed to move Billings into that spot cause he was easier to control and he follows the rules. - Jess
Think they killed him to help tie off the investigation into the death of the mayor

I think she will go to the down low, but good chance she will end up running into IT guy and use him to see hard drive contents.
