I am so glad you turned me on to this show! I came from your blacklist channel. I LOVE this show!!!!
So happy to hear it! Silo is such a great mystery show, we just love it! - Jess
Juliet poor thing has gone through so much in life, I want her to have a win. She lost her brother, her mother and her love. But I am so glad she got to know more about her mom. Her mom is amazing character. Deep down I wish she was still alive too.
If only! Hopefully Juliette is okay... -Matt
I have a theory about Juliette jumping: She’s figured out that there’s some sort of fancy technology or something in place to prevent people from falling to their deaths (except for Doug I guess lol) and she’s demonstrating it to prove that George didn’t kill himself (and maybe that will also prove that her mom didn’t kill herself either)
That's a great theory! Doesn't it make some sort of sense? I'd think that there was constantly something at the bottom if I was living in there lol. -Matt
I mean she's definitely surviving most likely jumps to the next level or platform down. She is either leading the rebellion or going out to clean which could segway into season 2. Either way I'm buying the books i can't wait around for s2 I need answers!
Hahaha I get that! This show does leave everyone wanting more. -Matt
It’s out already !!!! Ahhhhh I’m dying
It's such a great episode! What did you think??? - Jess
Excellent story, world building, and performances! I loved Tim Robbins ever since Jacob' Ladder. Rebecca Ferguson is a force, and Common is at the top of his game! All ofnthe supporting characters make this show real!
Common is SO GOOD! Sims is such a solid role and he's so good in it. The whole cast for this really makes the show. The whole silo world feels very real. - Jess
Try the 1999 thriller, Arlington Road. Then, of course, Shawshank Redemption. He's amazing. Probably one of the most underrated actors of his time.
I think Juliet survives and gets away. She will hide in the down under. I think she starts a rebellion.
I really hope that she does! Anything to keep her alive lol -Matt
I was really surprised Gloria gave up the info so quickly. 'Flamethrower unite' speech kinda went out the window as soon as Sims walked in the room.
I think Juliette is going to drop onto the platform below and somehow get away, I hope.🙏
Hi Miss Fifi! I had a litterbox trained bunny when i was a kid. She was a great bunny! She was definitely not as fluffy as yours.💜🐇💜
That's so awesome! My bunny is litter trained too and she's a freeroamer and goes where ever she wants in the house. What was your bunny's name? - J ess
Cool episode!! What is the syndrome?
This show reminds me of the Michael Bay movie The Island with Ewan MacGregor and Scarlett Johansson. I need to watch your other reviews. Started with this one
I have a comment referencing that movie on someone's review of an earlier episode
We appreciate you coming on board! We've had some pretty fun discussions on the show all season. -Matt
@@MattandJessTV I appreciate you for pointing the way to great series and for providing a platform for discussion and analysis. I'll be checking out your patron next.
@@deanrob9 Thanks so much! We appreciate that, we have some great discussion going on over there with more videos on all the shows we cover here. -Matt
I just love you two. 😂
Thank you :) - Jess
That cliffhanger episode ending.... I agree that the reason for her survival needs to be plausible. I enjoyed the story building.
Me too, I thought the build towards that moment with Bernard and Sims was excellent! As long as her jump is looped together in a believable way I'm all in. If she's just spiderman crawling down the side of the staircase then no LOL! - Jess
@@MattandJessTV 😂😂😂😂 Spider man
Best chance is for her to jump down to a bridge connecting from the spiral stairs to the outer ring. That's take perfect timing, coordination, knowledge of the anatomy of the stairs and she's need to fall on people like a porter willing to cushion her fall.
Are there any flags still hanging for her to grab from freedom day or forgiveness day?
Great review 😊
Thank you so much! What did you think of the episode? - Jess
I ❤love❣️love💓Your bunny.... We used to have a mini-rex.... I'm also (like you) so glad the bunny got away at the end of the flashback 👏👏
omg you had a mini rex!?!?! Such cutie bunnies! It's always cool to chat with other bunny parents on here :). I was so glad the bunny got away, highlight of the episode for me. - Jess
Bernard gave away the vulnerability.ofnthe silo when he said to Juliette you think its the generator that keeps the silo working, but if any thing happened to the servers..." because he is running the outside filters and visuals that keep the story and the pact in tact. I want to see whats on the video recorded. Outside footage hopefully
That would really be nice, wouldn't it? -Matt
LoL this video is about the bunny more than it is about the show hahaha
Gotta admit it made me think about getting a bunny. For a minute. Sadly i don't think i could take care of it. I'm wondering how well did get along with rabbits. I'm confident I've seen someone with both as pets
hahahaha I'm a bunny mom so I got a one track bunny mind. I have a dog and a bunny and luckily they bonded really well. Bunnies are very very very social, so usually when you get a bunny they recommend two because bunnies are made to bond with another, but my bunny and dog bonded and are best buds. Bunnies definitely need a lot of care and time. - Jess
@@MattandJessTV i see my typo only now.
My question was about how well a dog gets along with a rabbit. Would've sworn i didn't screw that up. 🤷♀️ .
I think it really depends on the dog's personality. Rabbits want to be buddies, it's in their nature to be bonded with others so when I got Fifi (my bunny) she followed Coco everywhere and slept wherever Coco was. Because I've had Coco 13 years I know that her personality is soft and gentle and really gets along well with others so when I got Fifi I felt pretty confident they would figure it out - Especially since my rabbit is a free-roam rabbit. She goes where ever she wants in the house and so does Coco so I think that aspect also helped them figure it out. - Jess
I don't think Juliette's dad winked at Judicial when they came to interrogate her mom -- they just asked what she did with the bunny, and they looked at the dad to see if he verifies what she said about the bunny, and he nodded to back her up. But he HAS been a tool of the system, under a kind of "Just following orders" situation that is super icky. He's trying to do better now, though, and the forgiveness moment with Juliette was great.
He didn't wink at them, but he did nod at them which is why I really didn't know where her father landed on things. if it was he was in on it or more of like you got what you wanted so go now. It has been difficult for me to really figure out where he lands, because like you said he's a tool of the system and while he didn't agree with everything or even know everything he did some pretty terrible things by "just following orders". Loved the forgiveness moment with Juliette! - Jess
I was surprised to see that Bernard is behind everything, but I should've known: Tim Robbins always plays duplicitous characters!
hahaha it's so true! - Jess
Wow. Shes dead. Maintenance now has the body and the drive. The cafeteria guy is the key now and link to maintenance.
I'm sure she is alive. I don't think star guy is gonna be enough to carry the torch, but she is probably on a clock because she is actively hunted now and they are in a silo so only soo many places she can go.
Unless she gets into a tunnel! We'll see what happens, but I'm so stoked. -Matt
Julitte dad knows a lot more
Than he is saying. He is going to play a huge role this season or next.
You don't think he'll die? I just realized it was the same guy as Ser Jorah from Game of Thrones. -Matt
I’m kind of thinking the same thing.. I think he might know more as much as I loved their little hug it out session I still think he is suspicious.
Remember he is a doctor in Silo for many years. He blurted out that he knew the “blind spots “ if you rewatch episode 8. Juliette didn’t pick that up. Neither did I, watching it first time, then had to rewind it.
@princemadebespoke5755 Oh yeah for usre that was shifty! I mentioned that in the review for that episode that the father said no one watches them in the nursery that it's a safe area and I was like... uh how would you know that? He's not being up front about how much he knows. - Jess
Waiting for the dad and/or Billings to have a hero/redemption moment in episode 10 😂
LOL for now, let's just say my lips are sealed. -Matt
This was by far the best episode , many questions were anwsered, I hope she landed on the stairs bellow (which will make her escape difficult and she will end up back in the hospital) and she can get to the engine room
I hope so too! Luckily, we won't have to wait long for answers. -Matt
I was so worried about the bunny 😢
Same :( - Jess
I really love this episode!!! I would like the father to be a better person, but I think he might have caved after his wife killed herself, and Juliette left him. That may have been the last straw. He probably thought he would never see Juliette again. I do not see him as a strong individual, and I think he has allowed himself to be used by the powers that be. I thought the same thing when he said that room was a dead zone. How did he know that, unless he has been working with them. And Gloria didn't want to have anything to do with him, and he had to leave. I agree with y'all... I believe in Billings. He is going to prove himself to be very helpful. For his family's future, if nothing else. I agree that Juliette is going to rally people. She really has the power of the people, and I think Judicial is somewhat scared of her charisma with the deep down folk , especially. They are a sturdy stock and know how to keep the silo running, or not. I think Juliette will be hiding like a Robin Hood, and come out and rally the people periodically. I think she will drive judicial Bernard and Sims crazy. I have to admit I like Bernard's character more as a villain, than a self serving egoist. Which I guess he really is just that still. Bernard just can't help himself, but at least he is funny.
ok, but no way the babies would pass the whole night in the nursery without any nurse going and checking on them 😅
100% lol. - Jess
👏👏Yes, Exactly what I have thought throughout several episodes, there is never ANYONE in there with the babies… That is so strange, especially since babies would be at a premium, as (it seems like) only limited numbers are allowed to be born each year
I could be reading way too much into the bunny lol but I’m wondering if the bunny found a way to get in and out of the silo
I think these are questions that you should be asking! -Matt
Juliet worked maintenance. She knows hidden ourcrops and passages. She ran to a particular point then jumped. She knew where she was going.
She must've or she was in a desperate situation and was hoping for the best when it comes to the landing of the fall. - Jess
I wonder if Juliet goes missing and they send the dad out to clean as punishment.
Oh wow that would be SO DARK! but this show is dark so you never know. they have shown that they aren't afraid to kill off anyone. - Jess
I have no doubt Juliette survives the drop. She'll probably land on one of the bridges connecting the stairs to the walls. The bigger question is where can she go. The stairs are easy to lock down. I think she'll be caught soon and sent out to clean. Maybe after leaving the hard-drive with Lucas.
I feel pretty good she will survive, it's just this show h as killed off so many people it's put me in a state where I don't trust that the hero will live. - Jess
Has anyone speculated on what were the pills Julia gave that farmer-guy in exchange for the bunny....I tried to pause the video to look, but I think there weren't any words on the bottle anyway....
Just a run-of-the-mill pain relief/addiction situation, or something more involved??
Being a surgeon, she would have had access to a lot of meds....I guess in the books she was more like a nurse....Anyway, probably a moot point....
but who thinks Julia's Mom really didn't commit suicide?.....Do we know how she "supposedly" did that, anyway??🤔🤔
I think because the pills never came back up again, it was really just more of she had access to pills and that would be strong currency to trade for the bunny. - Jess
She jumped on that railing like she's done it before. She grew up in the Silo. It's her world. I think she's fine.
I'm sure she must have done this before. She was athletic as a young girl and is now as an adult. - Jess
They can't kill her, we are too invested in her now. Many will lose interest if she dies. Its like Game of Thrones, I was losing interest when all we cared for would die, even in the end those we cared for didn't get what we wanted them too, and many rebelled. Heck, I think House of the Dragon got affected. I haven't watched it. Just to get let down again? I still want a redo for seasons 6+, but will settle for last season redo. (Composing myself) ok back to Silo. I think she knows where that leads to. She knows she is above something. She did not look like she was trying to kill herself, but to get away, hence title of next episode. I don't even think she had the right hard drive w her at that moment. I think she swapped it after her momma's boy admirer flaked on her. She may have even slipped it into his pocket. Again, that would make more sense if it was 1 episode away from finale, but it's two. So maybe judicial did get the hard drive, and this next episode she gets it back. Either she doesn't have it and next episode she gets it back, and there is a big reveal on finale for the community (small group or all), or she has it and next episode she finds out what it has, big reveal, and final episode she rivals the masses! Mark my words!
People still haven't figured out his name is Lukas?
RobertSims looked into the bag and affirmed thể hard drive wap in there there's no way sheriff Juliette Nichols could've made a decoy and given the actual drive to Lukas. He would've have expected to take it and wouldn't know to treat it safely or securely
She grabbed the bag with the drive in it from Sims before she jumped
If she's the lead actor and the executive producer, it's very unlikely she's not in the show for the long haul. If you have that much control there's no reason to put yourself in a role that isn't going the whole duration. She's got dragon scale over vibranium layered on adamantium layered on beskar plot armor
I think she is probably well-insulated, at least for now. I do still hope that there are still some unexpected twists, though -- that has been one of the best things about the show so far. -Matt
This show is terrible…it sucks. Are the books this bad?
