A succession of sharp silhouettes, elongated and thin, populate this collection. they are inspired by the unmistakable image of a hat-wearing william burroughs, leading light of the beat generation and refugee in tangier, a man who developed new approaches to writing and thinking, based on the cut-up technique.
Similarly, this wardrobe mixes and cross-pollinates symbols and elements, amalgamating them into a natural and fluid expression of style. The clothes have relaxed shapes that caress the body. Ethnic textures and motifs decorate the surfaces of the mesh, made with fine yarns that absorb and fade the drawings, or are placed on the collars and cuffs, decorative signs echoing the authentic, ancient cultures of the mediterranean basin and north africa. The garments made of intertwined sheepskin have the appearance of sweaters, and the outerwear combines a number of manufacturing techniques and processes.
The palette is concise and coherent, and revolves around dense and deep blues, armani’s natural, nuanced hues, the absolute antidote to chaos. natural tones and ethereal shades run through important pieces like echoes, obtained by weaving and washing cashmere, alpaca and vicuña fibres in a particular way, using new processes that break the surface of a garment, bringing it to life.

What a great collection! I do not understand many of the negative comments. Sure, some items could use a little tweaking. Over all, this was another amazing Armani collection. Armani comes from a dying breed of designers...designers who design clothes that will last for years to come. And, when you are forking over a thousand or more on a jacket, a smart person would do so knowing he will get good wear out of it. Those days of plunking down money simply for the label with no regard for design are gone...hopefully. Of course, it is OK to want something more trendy. That trendy stuff is not for everyone, and certainly does not stand the test of time. You wear it one season and then what? Off to Goodwill I guess. Mr. Armani, you are a class act! Keep the classics coming!

Really like this show. Maybe, sometimes Armani is a little pedestrian, but when I view this, I can relax and enjoy the men's fashion. Armani doesn't offend to impress, which is important, and therefore I will always appreciate his way of doing things. He's not perfect by any means, but he has an innate sense of what he is doing, and he does it very well.
I love the textures and fabrics... Not crazy about the cuts...

Designing men's clothing is much more difficult task than doing women's! Sure, you can do costumes like Thom Browne, but the bottom line is that this is a business and a brand doesn't survive without sales! Armani makes clothing that men can actually see themselves wearing....period!
The trouble with Armani is that everybody knows what it is and for that reason it has become to obvious a brand to buy to be exclusive and high end. His clothes designs are very much the same each season but slightly altered. Armani and versace as well as Dolce&gabbana have been hurt for being to popular in the past and are now just living of their past success as brands. Their past success exceeds where they actually are today. Brands like Givenchy, Balmain, Bottega veneta, maison margiela are at the cutting edge right now in fashion and have had a massive turn around over the last 5 years. For example i bought a Givenchy wool sweater in 2005 when the brand was nowhere as high end as it is now for $160. Now you couldn't buy a Givenchy sweater for even $300 today, starting point on Givenchy piece is more like $400 the brand has totally transformed and gone completely high tier since they hired top designer Ricardo Tisci and they don't make lower end diffusion lines they never have. When you compare that to Armani killing his brands image and integrity by selling tacky Armani xchange sweaters for $60 people with a lot of cash to spend on a piece from one of Armani's expensive haute couture label's range will perceive the brand as nothing special and be put of 'oh i seen some Burger king worker wearing armani the other day' (No offence). Armani has become a brand that has no discernment it's a brand what people who don't know much about fashion buy because it's one of the only few they have heard of and are therefore only buying for the name not for the actual designs of the clothes.
