The more I see Dubbuffet's work, the more I fall into believing he has really got an extraordinary way of doing art; his paintings shock by their graphic inability to conceptualize reality, but then you see the big picture and they make sense.
My favourite artist of C20. A unique way of seeing in which the lowest...madmen, criminals, outsiders are brought to equal footing to the well educated bourgeoisie. The dialectic between abstraction and figurration no longer counts for much in this world which Dubuffet creates.
