    Thanks very much for your tutorial and all the tips!
    I actually got myself a really huge metal 'giant cupcake mold' and totally regretted it!!! I ended up placing aluminium foil on the top part of the cake mold 15 minutes towards the end of the baking... Unfortunately I couldn't find a silicone mold so I'll probably end up ordering one from Amazon.
    I like your batter - I just have one question please... in the description below you state 6 eggs but as you were making it, you mentioned 7. Which is correct? I also noticed that you don't include milk - I trust this is part of the recipe. Thanks again😊

    • @MysteryBaker
      @MysteryBaker  4 года назад +1

      I'm glad you enjoyed my tutorial. Yes its 6 eggs, I was relatively new to RUclips when I made this video and didn't know how to edit my mistake of saying 7 eggs by accident. I dont do retakes as it's just 'live' baking of me in my kitchen, so apologies if my video isn't slick but I am getting a bit better. You can add 2 tbsp of milk to your egg mixture. The only reason I dont add milk to this Giant cupcake recipe, is because it has to take a bit longer than the standard cake, in oven... adding milk will make the cake wetter and in turn the cake will take even longer... and then there is a chance of the cake drying out at the edges. I hope that helps xx

    • @queencleo1151
      @queencleo1151 4 года назад +1

      @@MysteryBaker Thanks for your kind response which was indeed very helpful. I was silly enough to follow another cupcake recipe on RUclips which called for 1/2 cup of milk and 3 tsp of baking powder, but the batter was still dense and it took forever to bake. My cake recipes are phenomenal - perfect every time but trying out the ridiculous pan I decided to follow the tutorial to the 't'. I guess I should've gone with my gut feeling. Once again, thanks so much!!!

      Oh wonderful and welcome! You can just bake both together or if you wish split the recipe in half and bake 6 oz flour sugar and butter 3 eggs first and whilst it's baking mix the second batch. Bake the top first as it won't be so long to wait before you can get the bottom in the oven. I hope that makes sense? Xx
