It's a bit of a nit pick but it somewhat bothered me how even the Enterprise-A had to manually load torpedoes while the NX gets an automated loading system.
Though, it's easy to justify it as the result of the Consitution class' designers deciding on using more analog systems for it; since Constitution classes are meant to go on long term missions and don't get to make repairs at a starbase that often, it would make sense to use primitive but more reliable alternatives, like using a manual torpedo launching system opposed to an automated one.
But either way compliments to the set designers, they did a great job with the interiors of the NX Enterprise, especially how it's clearly influenced by submarine interiors.

@@Raven-626- I will have to agree with you there, and somewhat similar but some Main Battle Tanks with the auto loading mechanisms can count as well, it makes the NX slightly more reachable and I like that, basically just a bigger version of whats in the tanks and subs of the day

@@AhsokaTanoTheWhite Not to mention you can see many times that Trip needs parts to fix the ship and they dont have the part they need. You had crew max 100 people and you must divide 100 people into engineers, security, science officers, medical staff and maintenence. And when only 3 or 4 people died they were all sad and heartbroken. And Archer was pissed off at the people who did that. Other ships in Star Trek had like around 1000 people. Not to mention NX 01 had only 1 chef for the entire crew.

Beam Overload is a power-delivery thing...going by how it works, you're draining the capacitors/batteries local to the beam arrays faster than the global EPS grid can keep up with, thus the slower fire rate. Normal firing puts a cap on output to ensure there's always power available to take a shot.
Whereas what went on in this episode was more "the hardware wasn't designed to handle this, we know it wasn't designed to handle this, doing this might infact blow us up, but we have a duct-tape solution to *probably* make it work so we can shove a hearty 'fuck you' down your throat".

Or The episode where they find debris from a borg ship frozen in the ice... that had crashed there around the time of zephrim's first warp flight.

    • @drockjr

Nah, Trip getting prego was actually a neat concept. The jello water was an original idea. The alien ship had moss or something if I can recall as well as some distortion affect. Also the intro to holotech. It was able to make the aliens seem more alieny without being stupid. Lastly, trek never did the male getting prego, so that was a fun detour from normal.

Romulan war at least... and their first real combats against the Klingons pls! Make discovery DISAPEAR FFS! Its at MOST Kelvin timeline, not proper trek(Discovery that is). Daniels would have changed the Xindi attack if needed, not only that but also others from the OG trek would have intervened (Q absolute would as every change COULD prevent Picard from being born or be the philosope that he is(wich Q as we know absolute loves about Picard). Discovery at most is Kelvin (given the discovery herself is 1000 meter long at least (as she rivals my Odyssey in STO, and that thing IS 1000m long). SNW actualy IS the OG trek universe again (given they only SAW a battle of Discovery sadly, wich very well could have happened(Enterprise did NOT engage there personaly). The first REAL Klingon war happenes AFTER the 5 year mission of Kirk wich sports him getting his way up to admiral (unlike in Kelvin where he pulls ADMIRAL, rather Rear Admiral, as early as what? 28? Real Kirk needed waaay longer for that! (Thou he doesnt take the promotion in the movie, he could have).
So basicaly yes... would love 2 more seasons at least of enterprise, thou these day's? I doubt their able to pull this at all.. Picard is great shure but falls short against them older series like this here enterprise sooo we see these day's the writer could NOT do the same quality we would want to see.

This reminds me of the Star Trek copypasta about humans are basically mad scientists and engineers who will do insane unexplained things with their technology that no other race would be insane enough to try. It's what makes humans "special" amongst the other powers.
Like how human ships do crazy things like end up back in time, phasing through matter, surviving insane situations. Only humans are insane enough to try these things so the improbable happens more frequently to them than the hot headed Klingons, calculating Vulkans and scheming Romulans, etc.

ps: Star Trek's lack of chairs for certain officers and lack of seatbelts pisses me off, same for not wearing at least light space-suits when going into combat (can't fully trust the force-fields...hell, the NX-Class doesn't have any, yet!)
