In all these extensive videos everyone keeps missing the clear give away before you even open the box. The hyphen between “delivers” and “warm” on the front and on the back the words “superior and “for” run together into one word. Its that way on every fake SM7B video I’ve seen and only one person caught it.
@@WolfmanMadden well it was an assumption more than anything, the price was almost half compared to the rest offers and this was the only seller from with that price and the only one located in china. The box was exactly like the one in the video. After I paid I claimed the money the next day and got it back fortunately
You easily couldve saved 270$ on it since the fakes ones uses the exact same capsule as the real sure sm7b since its a chinese oem with 80€ parts costs.
Thank you for the video, I'm a little conflicted right now about whether the one i just bought is fake or not because alot of the evidence points towards it being real while some of it makes it seem fake. I guess ill never know until I get it and open it up.
Best of luck, I hope it's real! Looking forward I plan to get my mics from a local music store, but I understand the desire to buy them online when you find a good deal.
Legit question. What if the differences you pointed out was just an update from 2020-2023? Since there is already a significant difference on the box. Also should have shown the difference in sound.
@@WolfmanMadden as expected I have to say they might copy the looks better and better but they can't copy the desired performance thank you for that info
@@WolfmanMadden go to 7:28 in your own video. The real Shure wires are thinner and gray/black/yellow. The fake are much thicker and black/yellow/red/green.
Dude, I know I'm asking a lot, but could you unscrew the back and show the soldering of the mics? I've just reviewed a hundred microphones and I don't know which ones are real and which ones aren't... but there is one detail that almost certainly says about originality. I want to be 100% sure.

Good eye!
I almost ended up buying the fake one but claim the money on time and got the original one. Thanks for thee video
Glad to hear it. What did you notice in the one you bought that confirmed it was fake?

Just got mine with the same box, thanks for the video.
I hope you got the real deal! Best of luck with your content.
Got my genuine sm7b today. Thanks for video, I checked mine while was watching your video
Where did you get it ? I wanna buy one for myself . thanks
The tightness of the xlr port is also a good tell. The fakes make it much harder to pull the cord out of the mic
Good point. I found it hard to know with only one mic if it was too hard to pull out or if that's just how they are.
You missed the point that the real scam is the real one. $400 for a mass produced tin box, grille. one connector and a few wires in 2023? Come on.
you're right. it's expensive and that's why i fell for the fake trying to save money
Its have 80€ parts costs and its being made by a chinese OEM. You just pay for the name.
How to really tell, immediately, whether it's a fake SM7B at a glance: Does it cost less than $399 (new)? If so, it's a fake!
Lol you’re not lying. The seller I originally bought from claimed to be closing a voice studio and had them gently used.

It's possible they changed other things, but I think it's unlikely. You're right, I should have because some may not realize the difference.
But how does they compare sound wise?
Can you figure out the fake by the sound quality? I assume so.
The fake one is way worse. Definitely not worth the money if it was it's own microphone and not posing as a SM7B.

thank you for that info
So the green one is fake or the white one ?
The white one.
@@WolfmanMadden thanks
A bit surprising to me that you totally missed the difference in wire color and gauge inside the units
I struggle to see color, what were the wire colors in the real mic? I appreciate your help!

7:10 should show the inner parts you’re asking about!
If that isn’t clear enough I’ll see if I have a picture to send you
hi, I could use a photo of the inside too! I've had a hard time finding one, thank you!@@WolfmanMadden
