So before going into the show I was aware of the ‘sloth’ framing which helped me to understand quite a bit of the show from the beginning (like Felt saying she was different from the others in the slums because she wanted to go beyond her circumstances, IE not be trapped in the lethargy of sloth that those around her had been doing as they lived day by day). You definitely nailed Subaru’s arc but I also ended up applying it to some of the other characters.
Batelgeuse for instance I found interesting because his Possession ability is vaguely like Subaru’s in that it gives him a chance to try again. He frames himself as diligent, proudly acting as the counterpoint in the sloth ordeal that Emilia (and incidentally, Subaru), needed to overcome. However, despite his ability to retry, he always acted the same in his other bodies, and as a result, once Subaru started putting up a fight, he ended up failing. In the first attempt, he died with Subaru, leading to Emilia passing the trial in spite of Subaru’s death, and of course in the last attempt he was faced with the same failure in Subaru in not being seen by the one they loved. Where Emilia had left Subaru in the capital disappointed in him, the Witch didn’t see Batel at all and he broke entirely, just being consumed by the love he felt obligated to because of how much he’d given to the Witch without trying to earn anything by being better. Subaru grew from his failures, but despite having a vaguely similar capability, Batel was just consumed by those failures. He wasn’t diligent at all, just Sloth.
Emilia, whoever, was ultimately the one to undergo the ordeal, and I would argue that in a way she was indeed slothful. When the threat became known to the domain, she tried to rally everyone behind her yet completely failed due to how everyone sees her and her similarity to the Witch. Not only is this an utter failure at perhaps the most basic aspect of being a leader, this was something she was hesitant to properly address. Due to her clear self worth issues, she was hesitant to accept the love of anyone. She wanted equality for the kingdom, and that meant rejecting both hate and love, yet she accepted the hate as something typical because she believed she wasn’t worthy of being loved, and for that reason was adverse to being loved by Subaru, (not just because she couldn’t understand his reasoning). That was her slothfulness, her inability to change things because of her weaknesses. But Subaru did love her, and like she inspired him to change, he would push for her to change as well, letting her escape with the children who would more easily accept her, which helped her to accept herself as someone who could be loved, something necessary for her as a leader and allowing her to overcome the ordeal of ‘sloth’.
Less a comment about the video and more about some connected observations, but I did like the video!

I really like the point you raised with Emilia being better(waifu for Subaru if nothing else) than Rem since she calls him out on his bullshit whereas Rem mostly follows him and loves him unconditionaly. That might give her more appeal to most weebs but Emilia feels much more closer to a real person and not like a simple minded waifu-trophy to collect.

Everytime he gets complacent, gives up, or stops trying to better himself and give into desires, is when he dies inside the show. Which works for every death inside the show. Mixed with a bit of the Otaku-identity.

Season 1 of Re: Zero is definitely about someone who is paralyzed by their own sense of helplessness, lack of a sense of agency and self-loathing learning to understand and connect with others and weasel his way back into a society that he thought rejected him. I got that message loud and clear and it was great......but is this what ALL of Re: Zero is about going forward? I'm not so sure about that. I've read quite a bit of the light novel from Arc 4 onward and I definitely think it shifts to becoming about something...different. What is it exactly? I'm not quite sure yet myself, but I think season 1 got its message across quite well so I'm all for changing the subject if what it ends up saying is just as powerful. Here's to hoping that it will be.

I mean I prefer rem after her change but honestly if I was Subaru I would probably hate her for killing me and I would hate puck I probably end up mentally insane and hating them all for the torture.
More puck because rem only killed him for witch stench suspicion which as dangers as she is would be somewhat understandable considering everybody in the world referencing her
where as in puck just kills Subaru just because Emilia dies and calls him out on it despite the fact that puck is the one that should be protecting her which makes him sound like a prick.
But yeah what was so funny ans fucked up about the I love Emilia is that he says it in a rem moment with the touching music playing.
So yeah I was like dafuq Lol timing I mean I knew damm well he wasn't gonna date rem but jeez timing.
Subaru wouldn't let the shippers have it he was like nah to rem and the audience who was feeling touchy and I'm not gonna lie that hella shot the moment.

But what could have done in the real world? What Subaru could have done in the real world? Nothing. He was only 17 years old at the time and most kids at that age have the same interests as him. He would still be in the school system. There was nothing he could have done. Subaru was powerless, an ordinary human being. Earth has no magic. There is no way that Subaru could offer anything to the table.
Trivia: That convenience store that Subaru was in before he went into another world is a Mini Stop that is located in Chiba, Japan.

Subaru even cites it before he is finished off on Rem torture, how he got better at being a servant, at learning the language and how grateful he is to them .

If Subaru had 10 more IQ points he could get by saying he has a weak form of premonition (that he has tolive through to the end - and that he cannot know if he is living real life or a premonition).
It isn't the truth but with that explanation a huge weight would lift from my shoulders - and explain how he knows things.
