    Do those metal lines that run over the solenoid packs just pop right out? I've got some failing ones I want to replace and see if that gets it going again. I managed to slip the first one past the lines and that worked for a bit but now the other solenoid packs went out as well and there's no way I'm getting by those lines without removing them. You seem to remove them very easily in those video but mine are in there really good. Are they held in by something internal that you removed during the teardown?

    This is a great video series, you are obviously very knowledgeable at this. I need to know about the solenoids though. I know that the two on the one side of the filter are shift solenoids. The one on the other side of the filter, is that the torque converter clutch solenoid?

    • @nunapitchuk
      @nunapitchuk  Год назад +1

      I'm a little baffled. There are only two solenoid valves, right? I'm not sure exactly what you are referring to.

      @@nunapitchuk That's ok sir. I found it in video 14 I think, where you dismantle the lower valve body. There are three solenoids there. The two sitting side by side are shift solenoids. The one on the other side of the lower valve body is the torque converter clutch solenoid.

    I am about to start my rebuild on a 2002 03-72LE and was wondering what manual you used to rebuild your transmission? Thanks for the videos, they help a great deal.

      I used the factory service manual for my particular vehicle. I also have a pdf of the transmission manual (exactly the same).

    I really need to learn, how do it

  • @samuelseidel6148
    @samuelseidel6148 3 года назад

    So I have a question. I’m a beginner but there seems to be the main two splines and a third keyway that requires rotation of the torque converter to reinstall, and then it slips all the way on.
    I did not know this and reinstalled the transmission and was having difficulty getting it bolted on and had a loud pop. I took it back down and rotated the torque converter until it slipped all the way on. I’m afraid I may have sheared something. I did bend the flywheel. 😂 My question is what does the thing that seats in seat in to or what is it for?

    • @nunapitchuk
      @nunapitchuk  3 года назад

      I think I understand the question (not positive). The torque converter has to line up just right to slide all the way in. I think the reason for that is to line up the oil ports so the transmission fluid flows through the torque converter properly. Sometimes it slips right in and sometimes it is a real pain. The real problem is when it seems like it is all the way in, but it is not. I have done that too. One time I struggled and finally got it on and ready to bolt together just to discover that I had forgot to put the spacer on. I have actually done that twice and had to pull them apart and start over. So much fun. If you cannot get your flywheel perfectly strait again then I recommend replacing it.

    Hi, did you find out where all the black slime in the oil pan came from? Really helpful videos. Thanks.

    • @nunapitchuk
      @nunapitchuk  4 года назад

      You are welcome. I think the oil in mine was the original oil from '95 and was just old with a lot of particles in it from warn clutch and steel plates. I have put a few hundred miles on it now and it seems to be working perfectly.

    mr cook i want to rebuild my escudo g16a auto transmission, what is the part no. of the rebuild kit and where will we order the rebuild manual or guide book? thanks in advance

    • @nunapitchuk
      @nunapitchuk  5 лет назад

      First step is to find the tag on the transmission that identifies the type of transmission you have. You can find rebuild kits on Amazon, Ebay, Megazip, Allibaba, and other places. I bought my gasket kit from RockAuto and my plate kit from Transpeed. If you plan on replacing the plates and discs like I did then get a master rebuild kit that includes the gaskets and plates. Probably between $200 and $300. I used the factory service manual. I have a pdf of the transmission section also. You can contact/message me on my facebook page, suzuki sidekick restoration project.

      Mine is still shifting kind of aggressive until it gets warmed up. Not sure why. Maybe the accumulator pistons that are suppose to absorb the shock, but then when it is warm it shifts perfectly. My new hypothesis is that some of my clearances are probably off. Maybe some of my disc packs are too thick or too thin. I did not measure them super carefully. Mine does not make any knocking noise though. It might help to get under it and let someone shift the gears so that you can try to hear exactly where it is coming from. The first thing that comes to my mind for a knocking noise is a bad universal joint on the drive shaft. You can chat with me through my face book page called "suzuki sidekick restoration project".

    Помогите с АКПП!!!
    Авто Эскудо 1992 г., 3-х дверный. Двигатель 16 клапанный. АКПП 4-х ступка.
    Проблема вот в чем: резко без каких либо симптомов пропали 3 и 4 скорости.
    На "D" трогается с 1 нормально переключает на 2 набирает обороты до 2.5-3.0 тысяч и такое чувство что
    вылетает в нейтраль, отпускаешь газ скорость падает менее 40 км/ч и при нажатии на газ АКПП подхватывает на 2 скорости.
    На "2" трогается с 1 переключает на 2 и не вылетает т.е. набирает скорость в зависимость от оборотов.
    На 1 и 2 не буксует едет как раньше нормально.
    Считывал ошибки и на Двигатель и на АКПП код 12 - ошибок нет.
    Что делал:
    1. Почистил контактную группу на коробке как на форуме написано, теперь всегда задние фонари горят, раньше через раз горели. Но проблема не ушла.
    2. Проверил Жижу свежая, по уровню.
    3. Две фишки под коллектором впускным смотрел в порядке вроде.
    4. Тросик кик дауна настроил раньше был сильно вытянут 2см расстояние было до бобышки, может когда головку ставили неправильно прикрутили.
    За неделю до этого головку снимал шлифовал, но я все как надо собрал да и неделю она отъездила нормально.
    5. Мозги АКПП от исправной машины ставил, без результата.
    Нашел тему на форуме, симптомы один в один но там человеку повезло все само прошло."АКПП 92г.в проблемы"
    ЧТО ЕЩЕ МОЖНО СДЕЛАТЬ-ПРОВЕРИТЬ??????????Буду рад любой информации!!!
