This show, in the original subbed version is quite dark for a "kids' show, watched the whole thing as it was airing and loved it. Its my fave Yugioh. Prison Time, Class debates and actual death were things that happened without spoiling too much, I really recommend!
There was even quite a bit of controversy that ensued regarding 5D's as well in it's original airing in Japan. It was definitely an incredibly dark anime but my favorite of the Yugioh anime
@@strangerbeyreacts7601 there’s a scene that someone gets hung by their neck and die. It’s an absolutely amazing show subbed. It’s not for kids. There’s also child murder and torture as well.
Looks can be deceiving, Also, based on what i’ve seen on Japanese kids shows, it has become apparent to that kids in Japan might be able to handle things more, than kids in the USE.
Yu-gi-oh 5ds is my favorite series out of them all (2nd is the original one). If you are going to watch it, watch it sub. As usual, the english dub, made by 4kids, censors a lot, changes the story, basically changes everything to make it more "kid friendly" in the US. So watch it sub (japanese version) if you are going to watch it.
Yu-Gi-Oh! is a shounen, like Naruto and Dragon Ball, the only difference is Yu-Gi-Oh! didn't get a proper funimation dub and only got a children's dub that was heavily censored.
Arc-V and Vrains still have some openings left you missed out on my guy haha! Fun ride watching your impressions of what happens in the plot and junk haha

Every yugioh series is dark even if some look kiddey. certainly way darker than every other childhood anime
next you should react to the last 2 to 5 openings of arc v since you missed those.
Listening to the English dub intro always brings back so many memories I could just listen to that without even watching the show I love it so much
