God this brings back so many memories of music festivals passed! I am the luckiest person alive to have seen him play live several times before he passed! RIP Alexi!
Since Liaho’s passing COB is all that I’ve been listening to. Truly one of the best and most inspirational metal bands ever. Lots of imitators but their sound was unique and of its self. Have not heard a lot of the “newer” stuff since are you dead yet. I love all their early work and I think are you dead yet was the pinnacle of their work but I like the newer songs I heard here. I was lucky enough to see them live more than once.
I'm sad that I never got to see Alexi shred live. Just a sad day. Hate Crew Deathroll was my album when I was in high school. Thank you for your music Alexi! You will be missed! One of the greatest to pick up a guitar!
I'm so glad I was there that day, it was the last time I've seen them live! Rest In Power Alexi....you will be missed but never forgotten!!! Your music lives on forever! You guys were one of the biggest inspirations for our band!
I also wanted to add how amazing Daniel Freyberg's performance was here. His tone is absolutely killer and really cuts deep through the entire show. I've noticed in watching COB concert footage that the second guitarists seem to be louder than Alexi in the mix and wasn't sure if the band did that intentionally or if it's just coincidence, but either way it sounds fantastic - so heavy! Fuck I wish this band were still around!
It's really obvious here that Alexis guitar is the lowest of all instrument on the stage. Can't be unintentional. The backup vocals seem higher then the main even.
100 percent Daniel HAD to be louder in the mix. Alexi was one of the best guitarists in the world but he was very ill. Alexis Vox sound brilliant but at this point unfortunately Daniel and Janne were the main sound. Although it's hard panned left and right most of the time so you can choose to listen to AL or DF
P.s. everyone think about his commitment to performing. Newer songs like "this road" are a bloody nightmare to play. And they're playing it faster than the record!
Those natural harmonics in the riff are doable by any proficient guitarist but not whilst they're very ill on stage in front if a large audience. Daniel really helped Alexi keep COB going for the last bit of their lifespan. It's tragic we've lost such a legend. I'll stop now xx
RIP Laiho. You'll be missed.

It's so sad! Today Alexi Laiho joined Eddie van Halen in Heaven to rock together...
Alexi dued as well, sad year 2020 , but his riffs and solos will live forever
Can’t believe he’s gone😭😭
We love Him!!!
@Soldagg I know he suffered from long term health problems. I didn't know they were alcohol related
I notice he had been looking so frail in recent years so..😞
@Soldagg shit, he doesn't look good in this video. Man I'm so bummed right now.
@@hadesthebassist yeah, i agree... something was definitely debilitating him.
Came here to pay my respect. A legend.
not being able to see children of bodom with alexi in the band in person would be the biggest regret in my life now.. they came to mainland china only twice and i missed them both...i could have gone to finland for study but my parents didn't allow me to. poor me. i miss him so much.
don't be so sad... i'm finnish and i didn't see them either even though i had plenty of time 😭 my biggest regret too. just insane i skipped this concert thinking there'll be others.. i'm seriously so mad at myself 😡😂 i was going to go see them and f-king cancelled just before 😭😭 imsostupidimsostupid imsostupidimsostupidimsostupidimsostupidimsostupid
RIP Alexi!! You where an amazing guitarist!! Childhood memories listening to Bodom ❤
So good! Pouring out what’s left of his soul into it. I always was aware of COB but after his passing listening and watching more and it’s criminal how underrated Alexi was, tearing it up and singing too. What a badass! Peace shredder, rest well.

YOUR MUSIC WILL BE FOREVER
I feel frustrated when they came to my hometown a couple of years ago and I couldn't go. I will miss them so much. Your music saved me from my teenage agony. Thank you COBHC.
I really miss Bodom... Glad I got to see them a bunch of times! COBHC!
Thanks Alexi for helping me through my adolescence, from Argentina 🇦🇷

Алекси, покойся с миром. Ты был отличным гитаристом и делал интересную музыку. Нам будет тебя не хватать....
In total shock! Thank you Alexi for everything you brought to the world, it goes beyond music. Rest in peace brother, we'll miss you!
R.I.P. Alexi - 04/01/2021
One of my influences since I was a teenager!
Thanks for all the music you've helped create! 🤘🏻
One of my favorite guitar players/band.
RIP Alexi!
Лёха, спасибо за отличное детство! Я вырос на твоих треках!
Thanks for posting
RIP to a fucking legend, when I actually played guitar I would read his columns for tips, he taught me a ton through the years.
El metal seguirá gracias a artistas como el

RIP Wildchild. Thank you for everything.
Brings tears to my eyes to see this. Tears of joy, to hear these songs and that amazing guitar....but same time tears of sorrow, to know that we won't never ever hear anything like this
I was lucky to be here at the last UK performance and what an honour it's was , bloodstock is awesome , rest in peace Alexi you will always be a major part of my daily playlist
Rest in peace wildchild laiho .You are one of my best inspirations. love from norway to suomi finland!
I've been watching live clips all day. He really was one of the best metal guitarists of the last two decades.
RIP Alexi thanks for the music and the energy ! You ll be missed
We will miss you a lot brother thanks for which means still a fans of you since 2013
Everything ends. I'm happy that I was able to see these guys live right before the splitting up.
Wait..they split??? Wtf..when did this happen?! :(
December 2019. Their last gig was in helsinki
It's okay
Alexi is making a new Bodom band "Bodom After Midnight"
So the legacy will continue (:
I got to see them at Mr Smalls last year and im so happy that i did it was the best show ive been to
And why did they split
RIP Alexi Laiho. An incredible musician has been lost.
I saw COB in Sweden 2006 when I was a teenager. Miss those days. Thank's for everything Alexi
Thank you Alexi!
R.I.P. legend... Your music saved my life so many times. I'll always remember you.
RIP Alexi! Hard to believe he is gone so early. The world loses another great one... only the good die young.
Only time I see them, RIP
Thanks for the show
Godspeed you legend, we love you Alexi!
R.I.P. Alexi you are the great man. Children of Bodom one of the most great band ever! always and forever in heart.
Rip brother, way too young just like i lost my dad due to illness. For everybody enjoy life.. every day. Time is important not the most cash in the world can buy time, remember that !
Such a talented musician, anyone who can play those leads, and sing and play at the same time is amazing. Massive loss😔
When I was young, Follow The Reaper played everywhere I went and got me through so much. I'll never forget those times nor you, Alexi.. RIP... Your legend will live forever in metal!!!!!!!!!!!
Братцы, это потеря, я когда узнал не поверил. Самое удивительное в том, что все металлисты сразу всплочаюся вместе и передают не новости а записи с лайвов!!!!!!!
"My pain is constant and sharp and I do not hope for a better world for anyone, in fact I want my pain to be inflicted on others."
...this gave me goosebumps after hearing the news. RIP Alexi.
Alexi was so good and it's nice to see his playing improve live and he went at his best even though he was struggling. R.i.p my metal brother, I still miss you, can't believe it has almost been a year 🤯😔
Glad I got to see them live. Put on a badass show.
Lucky enough to see Bodom 5-6 times!!! RIP Alexi. I'm crushed!!!
Got to meet them on this tour and share the same stage with them in Romania metalhead meeting, nice bunch of guys
Seen them live 2x I’m so thankful.
rest in peace WildChild. and thank you for all the awesome music.
Unique composer, shredder, melodist, vocalist. Nobody else did not mix groove metal, metalcore, neoclassic, power metal in one song.
I can't stand metalcore but your right this is great melodic thrash metal at it's best! 😁
Thank you for the Childhood, Alexi. Rest in Peace :(
God this brings back so many memories of music festivals passed! I am the luckiest person alive to have seen him play live several times before he passed! RIP Alexi!
Wow! What a concert! 🔥 Wish I could see them live! RIP Alexi, you were a fantastic musician! 🤘🔥
You are missing out, All For Nothing off their I Worship Chaos album is heart wrenching
@@kingmagpie666 I’ll listen to it right now

Sou grato por ter conseguido ver éssa incrível Banda no Brasil, antes deles terem parado as atividades, sentirei muita falta
Eu tbm! Vi desde o início deles aqui tbm! Tudo acaba um dia! Que pena!😢Abraços
Imagino que tenha sido incrível! Infelizmente eu nunca conseguirei ver. 😭 RIP Laiho
sentimos mais dor agora, infelizmente
Descanse em paz guerreiro 😞🖤
Shred in peace homie
Looks like we're blasting COB tonight. RIP dude, you touched tons with the time you got 🤘🖤
