Gold ETF and SGB are for investment purposes,, if you are planning to purchase gold as jewellery, you should straight go for physical gold. If this is for long term investment, you can choose ETF or SGB. Please be noted, you purchase gold as investment for emergency as you would liquidate it when needed for other expenses or to beat the market (don't think it will beat index). If your requirement is to purchase gold as in jewelery, go for physical gold, jewelerry stores has chits to invest monthly. Hope this helps.

Hi bro 5:15 video there is no taxation on capital gain if we hold the SGB for 5 years but 7:22 video we have no taxation in capital gain if we hold the SGB for maturity period of 8 years. A little bit contradiction can you answer this?.
When the bonds reach their maturity date, you won't need to sell them. Instead, the equivalent value of gold at that time will be automatically credited to your bank account.
Hi bro I have one doubt that if we but sgb through sbi securities then we can get any intrest and tax exemption by holding for 1 year for interest and holding for 8 years for tax exemption. Is this possible in seconday market.

Boosan bro... I am able to pledge physical gold at any time. But how about ETF and SGB ?? Can I pledge ETF and SGB when I require it? Kindly answer these questions
Hello Boosan, I have been following it for a long time. Your way of teaching is impressive. I have a question here for you. If I want to show SGB interest in tax. Do you know if I need to show it for tax under the Income from Other Sources section right? if it is right? it has multiple sections under Income from Other Sources(IFOS). where to show it
There's no need to sell the SGB at its maturity date; the amount will be automatically added to linked bank account, so there's no need to worry about liquidity.
