    I purchased the H&S Evolution CR plus (.28mm) + 5ml cup. I'm a .3mm airbrush guy and it came highly recommended by Spraygunner. It is now my main workcourse of all my airbrushing :) and yes I do own Gaahleri's, I have both Mobius .2mm and the .38 along with the GHAD-98 (All mainly used for priming now), but the H&S is just beyond good. Also own 2 GSI Creos PS-289 which comes to a close 2nd :)

    I bought the same airbrush a few weeks ago. Before that I never was successful in using two other airbrush’s I bought (cheap airbrush’s). I couldn’t get the paint to spray out of the airbrush’s. I watched Warick’s videos from Harder & Steenbeck on the Ultra Pro airbrush. The videos are excellent. He goes through the introduction to how to use the Ultra to get the best results out of it. Warwick said that when installing the cup, you should give it a quick turn to seat the cup. Following his instructions, The cup locked into place. It never came loose until I wanted to take it out for cleaning. I recommend watching all his videos. There’s a lot of good information in them.

      I did just that when i got the airbrush. Basically out of impulse, and I'm glad that I did. Thanks for the feedback. I'll check those videos out.
      This airbrush is definitely designed to be the ultimate beginner friendly airbrush. And all other levels.

    I like this brush a lot, but mine always leaks a bit from the bottom of the cup. Twisted it into place, cup doesnt move one bit, really lost confidence with it. I might return it

    • @animousworks

      So, from what I understand, you have to press and twist the cup into place. I haven't experienced any leaks with mine till this day.

      @@animousworks I do this all the time. I dont want to use too much force, but the cup stays in place no matter what

    • @animousworks
      @animousworks  5 месяцев назад

      If that's the case, I'd definitely look into sending it in.

    No problems with tip dry? That bothers me terribly with my own Ultra, no matter what kind of paint I use, especially in settings I-III. I've been using the Evo Silverline for a long time and with that device it only occurs very rarely. Now I'm trying to find out what the problem is, as it's quite awkward to clean the tip on the Ultra.

    • @animousworks
      @animousworks  3 месяца назад

      I have not experienced this. What about lacquer paints? Adjusting your psi?

      The cutouts in the collar of the ultra are designed to easily clean the tip with a drybrush. You just dip in your solvent of choice and mash.

      Shouldnt be getting dry tip as air wont escape without paint unless you have it in free range mode.
      Most likely isnt dry tip but something else.

    • @animousworks

      I was using the Coolie tootie from spraygunner. I believe I left a link in my description.

    Good video, ive been thinking about getting into airbrushing as a "lighter" hobby given my energy level will be down when i start chemotherapy soon.
    On another note, i saw Spaz Stix has an airbrush/compressor combo kit for roughly $140. Have you seen or heard anything about it?

    • @animousworks
      @animousworks  5 месяцев назад

      Airbrushing is definitely therapeutic. Just make sure you wear proper PPE. I have not heard anything from that kit. I started with a Master Airbrush combo set from amazon.

    The tip of the airbrush has a two stage shaped tip which makes it more precise for the needle size.

    • @animousworks
      @animousworks  5 месяцев назад

      It's one of the many gimmicks it has.

    This ultra is good to use, but the spring makes the trigger really really stiff. So I changed the Cr Plus’s spring into the new ultra then it’s really fine to use.

    • @animousworks
      @animousworks  9 месяцев назад

      That sounds awesome. Im looking into getting the cr plus

    made in Germany by a German company, designed by Germany engineers, owned by a Japanese parent company. You get top notch quality. This is not some 20 dollar China product made very questionable work conditions. Obviously if you cant afford it and just need a airbrush for priming and zenithal, buy a Ghaaleri GHAAD 39, WAAAAY better quality then other Chinese "brands". I might just get one to do 2K clears and I dont want 2part polymers in my expensive brushes.
    But if you are serious, the Ultra is not expensive for what you get. 115 euro's where I live. HS brushes also retain used prices fairly well. I just sold my Inifinity for 40 euros less then what I bought it for.

      Thank you for your comment!! I 100% agree with you. H&S never disappoints, and the price tags are justified by the quality of the product you are receiving.

  • @Hobbyholicofficial

    I honestly don't think that it's worth the price tag. I think the mobius line I got was a better bang for buck.

      I agree. But remember that each company has their own uniqueness.
