    This was very helpful for me! Been to 3 Physical therapists for my repeated facet injuries. Right now, even physical therapy exercises can cause me a good amount of pain. Really excited to have a window to tackle PT hard 💪

      Remember sadly muscle wastes at an incredible rate to its growth. So it will take a while to return mass. Be patient and focused. Thanks for the comment

    Hi, thanks for your video. Question regarding a knee tear in which there is no pain except at night, no inflammation, full movement, except can't jog. Just a 5 mm tear in meniscus as per MRI. Can a steroid injection heal the tear? Thank you.

    • @JonWSportsInjury
      @JonWSportsInjury  10 месяцев назад +1

      Hi. Thanks for your question. No a steroid injection won’t heal the tear. The aim of the injection will be to remove the inflammation that might occur as a result of the tear. In terms of repairing the tear that would be a small operation called an arthroscopy. However, we are seeing a lot now that symptoms can be removed with good physio work so I would certainly try that first

      @jonwspotsinjury Thanks so much for taking the time to clarify the actual purpose of a steroid injection. Our GP said a steroid injection, which he would do himself, would heal the tear, and there is no need for an Orthopedic referral. Very frustrating, unfortunately.

    • @JonWSportsInjury
      @JonWSportsInjury  4 месяца назад

      I never see the use of injection as something that should be done quickly. I think you would be better placed getting it assessed and understanding what is the cause of pain. I hope that helps and you recover quickly

    Dear Doctor,
    I had a mild ACL sprain(left knee)4 days ago. It’s not that painful but it my left knee is not as strong as my right healthy knee. I’m 43. I want to go back to gym soon. Should I get a injection? Or should I get physiotherapy and strengthening program?

    • @JonWSportsInjury
      @JonWSportsInjury  5 месяцев назад

      I personally would concentrate on the strengthening and physio aspect at just four days into your rehab. This will ultimately prevent any further complications for you and have you fit for the gym asap

      @@subratatarafdar2080 you can try ultrasound. I must admit we stopped using this as a treatment option many years ago. As it is early I would speak to your Physio and ask for a treatment plan so they can advise you of how they plan to return you to fitness

    Ive had 3 shots in the same shoulder joint in the last 3 years, each a year apart from the other.. do you think i will be at risk for any wear on my tendons, bones, or cartilage? Or should everything be all good
