    I knew Pat Shurmer a tiny bit and ran into him at some point after our draft when we had two 1st rd picks. Without any prodding he said 'we had a GREAT draft'....Branden Weeden and Trent Richardson ...I'll always remember that ..lol

    If we are thankful for Myles and love him, trade him to a competent franchise so he has the ability to win. He’s nearing the end of his prime and we’ll be entering a complete rebuild hopefully all the way up to the owner. Get some compensation for him and call it a day.

      @rctecopyright 9 дней назад +1

      My problem with that logic is that every team has great players. So if every team trades their great players to contenders so they can compete then we'll just end up with a professional college football arrangement.

      @@rctecopyright who says we are trading him to a contender? We are not obligated to do him a solid. I'm not saying send him to the Giants, but a team like the Cowboys would get us good trade value in return.

      @@rctecopyright That's essentially what we have right now and for the foreseeable future with Watson on the books and no draft picks. Garrett is nearing the end of his prime. Sell high and buy low. If we just drafted him, keep him. But he's nearing the end of his prime. Get what you can to jump start the rebuild.

    That's the wrong way to think about it we aren't replacing Garrett but trying to improve other places on the team. 1 guy is not above the team no matter how good he is. Get 2 1st and a 2nd take your chances obviously I would prefer a new GM since Berry can't draft.

      He’s a cornerstone of the franchise and a once in a generation player. Taking care of great players and showing the men that play their guts out with nothing is on the line.. That we value their hard work.. it builds a great team and strong culture. The Browns need Myles for more than what he brings on the field.

    • @someperson8151
      @someperson8151 9 дней назад

      @@rodgiek3 wins ain't a great culture. Aaron Donald is an example of a cornerstone and culture changer. If Myles Garrett hadn't thrown Baker Mayfield under the bus, the Browns would be a contender, but he had to berate him for not playing the last game on 2021. Because of that Garrett will play injured in meaningless games or he'll be called a hypocrite for throwing Baker under the bus for not playing because of injury.

    The cold hard truth is that the Browns are in a very difficult position to have a winning season next year and therefore it will be difficult to make it attractive to keep Myles. The team bet big on Watson and lost. The next two years are the cost of that bust. They have a lot of position needs.

    Myles doesn't deserve another wasted year under Stefanski.

  • @roris5882
    @roris5882 9 дней назад

    If the Browns can trade Myles to a contender, for two 1st Rounders and a young stud O-Lineman then they should seriously think about it. Then they should use those picks to bolster their O-Line to protect their future QB, so he can actually have an opportunity to develop. But I don't trust Stefanski to develop a new QB with his antiquated high school style offense or AB to select the obvious O-Linemen, who were dominant in college, correctly. The next QB draft class isn't very good so they should or wait another year to find one, but that gives them the needed time to make changes to the staff and build their O-Line for the future. Also, a veteran QB would help to groom the younger QB until they are ready to step in.

    The Browns have killed his career. Trade him to a franchise that'll part with this drafts first, second, and third and their second and third the following year. This roster needs to be rebuilt NOW, not over the course of time. Especially with the dead money this team has accrued.

    We didn't have any QBs last year and made the play offs. Maybe Ken Dorsey isn't the guy for this team. Offense has been historically bad one of the worst ever to suit up in NFL history! That puts a lot of pressure on your defense.

    False, Garrett is a great player but terrible leader and thus, very tradeable. Your best player should be a great leader, Browns would have been smart to trade him a few years ago for a crazy haul but that's probably out of the question now. Return will be diminished from any real organization who doesn't want a crybaby who takes many plays off and only really specializes in rushing the passer (is not a complete player). He'll be on the wrong side of 30 soon and is probably more serious about racing his porsche, planning his next halloween costume, or dinosaurs than he is about winning a championship. He's really worried people are going to start to understand eventually that the reason the browns aren't a great defense a lot of the time is because he can't lead as the best player on the field.
