Fixing Dash on 2014 Dodge Challenger Part 2

Fixing the dash on my 2014 dodge challengers. It’s common on the 2014 and older models. The dash starts separating where the center vents are located. Here is a quick fix.

My advice take some fine sandpaper scuff both surfaces.. wipe clean with acetone or alcohol.. that dry before gluing.. clamp dash in place overnight.. to let whatever glue silicone epoxy dry fully and cure..
Since everyone else is doing a short little video on this I may post a video of my repair on my channel as well..

How did you remove the vents without breaking the clips? Currently on the same stage on my challenger 14 SXT

Just seeing this comment but it’s fairly easy to do. Just get a few sturdy credit cards you don’t use and you work them under the two dials on each side of the vent. This is where the clips are located, and you just want to work them in until they fit inside and under the clips. Then with a 3rd card you want to work it around the edges of the sides of the vent. Slowly work it until it will start to come loose. Do not try and pull on the vent opening itself or you’ll damage the small plastic pieces.

I am commenting from my other account. Due to my dash, and possibly prior owner, all my vents already had broken clips. They were loose and came out freely. I ended up having to glue the broken or warped clips back together. That’s why I couldn’t show proper way to take the vents out.
