- Norway is full of beautiful rivers. The Otta river in the Otta valley is no exception. On this ride, you start on a back road and follow the river from Eidefossen hydroelectric power station to the city of Lom. It is a beautiful ride taking you along flat segments and hill climbs. The hill climbs takes you up high so you can enjoy marvelous views of the river and the valley. As you leave the back road, the river widens up and becomes a lake (Vågåvatnet). For a short while, you can enjoy a flat segment along the lakeshore. At the end of the ride, you have one last hill climb before you have an easy descent to the city of Lom. From Lom, you can try our ride up to Sognefjellet, the highest mountain pass in Northern Europe.
Take your indoor cycling to the next level with our indoor cycling app Open Road:
Dive into an immersive indoor cycling experience with our training app ’Open Road’ for Windows. The app lets you ride the ride for real and provides a better and more realistic indoor cycling experience compared to our ride-along videos on RUclips. The app is compatible with all ANT+ cycling devices, including smart trainers, power meters, and speed sensors. Athletes with spinning and exercise bikes without ANT+ compatibility can control the speed manually and enjoy riding with all the important cycling data displayed during the training session.

Just add music:
Most cyclists would agree that the ride to Col du Tourmalet is outstanding. But with music, opinions are very mixed. So we have added no music. Instead, we recommend adding your favorite music to the ride. It is quite simple. Mute RUclips and open a browser window. Find a site that offers music (Spotify, RUclips, etc…) and pick the music you like, and enjoy the ride... We have left the original sound of the ride out. This is because the noise from passing cars, vibrations from the road, wind, and the rider's breathing drowns the natural sound of the surroundings.

In December of 2021 I weighed 255. I always had a difficult time with losing weight. I bought my exercise bike in January and discovered your videos. Now I weigh 229 and dropping. Thank u so much for these wonderful videos. They r the highlight of my day!
Hi Wanda, thank you for sharing the story about your amazing journey. Loosing weight is not easy. Kudos to you for making it possible :-)
Try going on a low carb diet
I thought this was a car ride until I saw 2 cars and a camper passing. Very smooth ride! I would like to see the bike computer metrics during the ride though. I find them interesting and helpful. Really enjoy your videos so thanks!
Thank you. If you use our app for windows Open Road all these metrics will be offered when you ride. Please read more about the app in the description.
I love your videos, I have lost 35 lbs riding with yall thank you
Wow that is amazing. Kudos to you :-)
@@BiketheWorld I ride almost everyday, I was hit by a car while on my bike. This really help me to recover, being 65yrs was hard
But y'all helped me to recover
Thank you so much.
What a beautiful ride! I loved seeing a new country. A perfect mix of countryside, river, and blue sky. So smooth too! Great not to have any annoying muzac. Thanks so much for filming and posting this video.
Just discovered this channel, what a treasure. I use it while on a treadmill, feels like flying 🤩
Glad you found us. Enjoy :-)
Another beautifully shot video, thank you Bike The World for taking us riding all around the world!
You are welcome :-)
Thank you. Very, very beautiful video. Northern Europe has such breathtaking landscapes. :)
Glad you liked the video :-)
lake and green forest in blue sky! perfect for biking!
Beautiful ride which is much appreciated as it has turned cold and wet here in Ottawa, Canada. Thanks for posting!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for sharing. Beautifull places.
Thank you for sharing. Beautifully smooth and great to see some water for a change also. 👍🏼
Norway has countless rivers, lakes, waterfalls, fjords, glaciers...water everywhere. This is the great Otta valley, home to Otta river. Surprisingly perhaps but this is the driest place in Norway, and one of the driest in Europe. In warm climate like Spain this would be a desert.
Great ride, love this place!
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Nice and fast ride. 33 km/h?
How fast is this going?
this says 4K, but the frame rate is jumpy and it could be sharper. I would pay a small fee for access to better-quality downloads, especially any with live sound, which adds so much to immersion.
best bike videos I've found. iFit is dropping support for a LOT of machines soon, monetize!
Thanks buddy! Our newer videos are filmed with a better camera, so you may enjoy these even more. In which way can we help iFit users that are no longer supported?
@@BiketheWorld I'm just going to play your movies and that will be enough, but I would be happy to spend a little for a high quality DL. the iFit app would link with the bike so various stats could communicate to the screen: cadence, resistance, etc. Unless you build an app to bridge that gap, then...steady as you go ; )
I will miss some of the instruction about form and all but i won't miss the stupid chatter about bullshit (one instructor had a long story about her gross sweaty socks molding or some crap. shut up.)
@@sheldondrake8935 Hi Sheldon, I hope you are having a great day :-) Currently, our app Open Road can communicate with trainers supporting the ANT+ protocol. And you get the various stats you mention on the screen with the app. We are working on supporting the Bluetooth LE protocols as well as a lot of bike trainers only support this wireless technology.
@@BiketheWorld NIIIIIICE ; )
@@BiketheWorld ooooh, PC only. I use an iPad on my bike.
