Try looking online, I was able to buy 3D printed hands with escrima sticks that are already painted. Really saved the fig for me (it's my fave body out of all the McFarlanes so far).
At this point the perfect Nightwing figure would be a Hush version using the body of the upcoming Knightfall Nightwing/Flashpoint Barry/Captain Atom/Booster Gold/Blue Beetle. Or Discowing. Make it happen, Todd.

The Nightwing in my collection is a kitbash of the Better Than Batman, Bat Family 5 Pack and Titans figures. It's the body from the 5 Pack with the arms from Titans to complete the stripes, as well as the ankles and feet from Titans, and the head from Better Than Batman with the mask painted black. I also painted the fingers blue on the gripping hands. It's honestly my ideal Nightwing figure, with my only gripe being the glum expression. I love his hair and overall facial likeness though. One issue it has that I want to do something about is that the pegs going from the shoulders into the torso are shorter on the Titans arms, so his shoulders are recessed further in and it makes them look kind of shallow. I've got an idea on how to make them sit further out, I just haven't been brave enough to try it yet.
@@VictorHugo-Al Yeah, with how cheap DC Multiverse figures are and how incomplete they often seem to be, I sort of think of them as model kits/kitbash fodder, especially where they have pretty universal articulation, but that isn't actually an excuse for the figures not being good to begin with.
Though I like the look of essentials, to me mcfartlane's stuff is far superior. Better engineering, use of materials. Just something I want to pick up and play with. The essentials line is essentially something only to be put on the shelf 😢😂😊😮

Just wanted to come and say I f*cking love your videos man. This is the kind of figure comparisons that DC figures need, but are rarely made. I missed on Better than Batman and the Essentials one. I happily got the under-appreaciated Gotham Knights on day one. It may be a very specific look, but I think it still works with other over-detailed/designed/"realistic" figs. The Titans one I found insulting lol. No escrima stick and not even an additional set of hands? Come on!
good review, I'm now really into the McFarlane Toys Videogame stuff (Witcher 3 and the Arkham Trilogy) and thinking about adding the Arkham Knight Red Hood to the collection but not sure, haven't played the DLC yet too
I love my titans one. I was able to get a pair of stick and hands that hold them online. Before that though I painted the Gotham knights hands and sticks the same sky blue color and that worked out fine. I always missed out on a good nightwing so I’m pleased with what I have. I also cut a grove under the chest peg that gave him some good ass ab crunch. Mafex nightwing was in my cart until I did all that.

My default Nightwing is Better than Batman with Green Lantern (John Stewart) arms with painted blue strips. As much as I love the BTB nightwing I just hate how skinny the arms look compared to the rest of the body. As the GL has cuffs that give off the 90’s Nightwing suit vibes
I think the price category needs to be reworked into availability or something else, because it's funny how gotham knights wins since it's the worst of the bunch, there's a reason why the figure price is lower than the rest, so it makes no sense to get a point because of that. You can get a turd for free but that does not make it a good choice.
Thank you for the feedback. I take into account the original price, the after market value, what the figures come with, and how much new sculpting is involved versus reuse. I definitely see your point, but in terms of availability, value, and price I still feed like Gotham Knights is the best value you can get for the price if you want a Nightwing.. that said I could have done a better job of explaining my reasoning on this one for sure.
