Those "double ended" pins are kwikset pins. They are the reason kwikset locks are so easy to pick even with spools. When I key up these locks, I always use standard or serrated bottom pins to increase pick resistance. Great job 👏
Fantastic video Dmac. Content and picking is obviously great, but also the video quality is perfect too. Great lighting, framing, focus and definition.
Shortly: yes, you can. And the old 5pin key for the 6 pin lock method. Nice my friend Beautiful explanations, nice action scenes (next Time you could leave out the explosives), and át the end when the lovers find each others: that was a real masterpiece. I have to admit, that was the Best low budget movie, what the Kingdom could give us this spring, maybe the director has Some nice suprises for us in the next parts...
Vet nice looking Ace padlock and a great idea, I've done this myself. I think the first challenge locks were locks that had more extreme bitting and filled with spools. I thought Lockwoods had tapered key pins to help create an overset. What's the difference between these key pins and the key pins in Lockwoods?
Compelling video - well explained, shown and demonstrated! Excellent work DMAC. Nice lesson for lock companies too.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it 😎👍🏻

Thanks for the info. Aside from Smart key, I'm not sure I've come across any kwiksets 👍🏻
I love videos like this! Awesome job improving this lock, but keeping it almost stock 👍👍
Great initial picking and explanation of the key pins! Nice upgrade! Noticably different pick! Thanks for sharing this!
Cheers, a definite improvement 😁👍🏻
Super instructional video. Thank you
Cheers 😎👍🏻
Excellent video as always. I'll bet looking out for one of those for my collection 👏😏

Thanks. Really appreciate your comment. I do try to work on the production (within my limited means) as well as the content 😎👍🏻
@@Dmaclocksport watching on a 50 inch TV, it's still crystall clear. (I mentioned the TV size for information, not as a brag lol)

Thanks Mr S. Lockwoods use tapereds whereas these are bevelled. I guess it's all about the angle 😉👍🏻
Very nice. So, not a challenge lock, just....stock plus??
