Every year saint Thayagaraja Aradhane is conducted during January February in the states of Andhra, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Renowned classical musicians come together to celebrate the great Sait by singing his Kritis.
This song is on of the pancharatna Kritis that is one of the Kriti considered among the five gems
We have heard this Kriti live by Yesudas in the Mysore dasara festivities program.👍
Rick and korbin now imagine this redention sung by thousands of singers with hundreds of instruments in a single event held every year in south India to honour saint Tyagaraja. It is the most divine feeling you get to experience
🔥
🙏
I was blessed to be at thiruvaiyaru on the banks on river Kaveri during the maha utsavam in 2018 .
And they'll know that this song is not a modern arrangement but the original, traditional composition of the Saint.
Wow, I’m from Delhi residing in DC and I have no initiation in Carnatic although I was always fascinated. I am love with Uthhara and this is what plays in my house all day although I do not understand the language but the Bhava itself is so pure and divine. I am in love with Carnatic now and hope one day I could attend the fest beside the Kaveri River that you’re talking about🙏🏻🙏🏻
There is a movie in Malayalam called Devadoothan starring Mohanlal as music composer. The best version of this song was done in that movie . Give me chills everytime
I sugeest that song to korbin months before.and im waiting for the reaction.
This song was even there in telugu movie Beale hale magadivoy of nani
I too asked them several times
👍👍👍
They have a team which suggests videos to react.
Suggesting in the comment section is waste.
U should watch Entharomahanu song from Devadoothan (2000) movie. Such a masterpiece by Vidyasagar sir .❤️
Yes that would b great.
Goosebumps only word to describe it vidyaji magic❤️
Oh that’s my favourite version so far
👍
This version is way better
Endaro Mahanubhavulu was composed by Tyagaraja after an encounter with 'Shatkala Govinda Marar', a highly skilled musician from Travancore, Kerala. 'Shatkala' being a title given to him since he could effortlessly sing in six (Shat) kalas (Tempos).
There are two versions of the stories
One is that, upon hearing Shatkala Govinda Marar sing, Tyagaraja created "Endaro Mahanubhavulu" at that moment.
Another version is that it was a song that was already composed by him, but Tyagaraja sang that song at that moment.
This one of the Pancharatna Kritis ("Five Diamonds") of Tyagaraja.
👍🏼
👍👍👍👍
Telugu is such a sweet language 🤩❤️
hence called, "sundara Telugu"
Anni bhashalandu Telugu lessa
I am tamil but sundara Telugu is called so for a reason..
It maybe sweet but such an observation will taste sweet coming from non-Telugus only
@@sujanikoya2826 I'm తెలుగు
Whoever recommended you this has a wonderful taste in music. I kept smiling when Korbin did the thalam (the hand beats). All Tyagaraja's Pancharatna Kritis ( five gems ) are mindblowing and the rhythmic beats are unbelievable. It gives you total peace of mind. You guys should next react to RANGAPURA VIHARA BY AGAM which is also a telugu song. :)
Yes. That's a brilliant recommendation. I was listening to it just before I came to this video. Harish Sivaramakrishnan is a magnificent singer. Manavyalakincharadate is another gem by Agam. I would upvote this comment a thousand times of I could
It's a Sanskrit song and the starting is in tamil of pachaiman malai pol veni unless u are referring to something else..
@@saras7519 hey tyagaraj written kirthanas in Telugu and sanskrit only not in tamil search in Google
@@saras7519in Telugu 75% words inspired from sanskrit so we don't know much difference between Telugu and sanskrit.
Original Composer Tyagaraja(1767-1847) composed many songs in Telugu which are regarded as gems in Carnatic, and many are used till today.
🙏😍
both father and daughter are accomplished singers, our pranamam to both of them. and telugu aahhaa what a language , sweeter than the sweetest.
Still devadoothan version in my head ❤️❤️❤️
Yep!! That rendition is magical.
Ya😊
😢❤
SHE'S SIXTEEN OMG. Also, Endaro Mahanubhavulu is set in adi talam (8 beats) but if you listen carefully, the verses themselves are 9 beats each. That one beat difference creates a sensation of constant motion and forwardness that makes the composition feel as if it's rolling over everything as it progresses.
Pretty astute observation. 👍
Great notes 🙏
Korbin and Rick you both are really getting into the essence of Indian culture classical music. We are very happy to see kobin was beating taal very perfectly. 👌👌👌👌
This song written 700 years ago by a Telugu legendary poet Tyagaraju he is a iconic big devote of God Lord Venkateshwara (lord Balaji) ... It's a mix of Telugu and sanskarit language
Sir, Shri Thyagaraja Swami is 18th century saint/ poet. Shri Annamayya is 14 th century saint/ poet. We Telugu people are lucky to hear these devine keerthanas and krithis penned by these saints..👏👏
@@bhimaraju433.. Any how Annama charya Grandson (18th genaration) is my close friend bro
@@Telugu599 Sir ..you are so blessed to have a close friend from Shri Annamacharya's lineage 👏👏
Govinda Marar!
There are plenty of other songs by the same little girl, PLEASE DO LISTEN. The rhythm beats are unbelievable. There is a song by her which laments the loss of memory of Krishna's smile. Exceedingly beautiful.
Unni Krishnan Sir's voice can be literally referred to silky voice. So soft and soothing to the
ears and he is a legend.
React this same song from Devadoothan Malayalam movie its totally different.
pls react Entharomahanu song from Devadoothan movie. indian classical music has beautifuly mixed with western orcestration. Oscar level Composition ❤❤❤
Go watch entharo mahanubavalu ( rythem of Love) by vidhyasagar from the movie devadoothan
KORBIN IS THAT KID THAT GOES WITH THEIR PARENTS TO A PLACE WHERE HE DOESNT UNDERSTAND WHATS GOING ON......BUT JUSTS VIBES WITH THE FLOW
Yes, and it's good to see him enjoying 👍
telugu song sung by malayalis ❤
@@anuniquemind5556 Actually Unnikrishnan is the Great Grandson of Eminent Ayurvedic Physician Kota Narsimham. Who is a Telugu writer and Buisness man.
Guys, tamil telugu and Malay Ali people have lived together In harmony in each others' states forever. Let's quibble less and applaud the confluence of our cultures which has fostered such enjoyable art
Karnatic music is composed in the languages of all four southern states and also in Sanskrit. If you learn this music, you sing in all five languages as a matter of course. They are great musicians.
Karnatic music,Telugu songs😊
The Devadoothan version still gives me goosebumps. Try reacting to it next time
Telugu was called as amrutha dhara , because when Telugu is spoken ar singed it is like the flow of nectar
Both are national award winner for best playback singer.
Thyagaraja has wrote and sung so many sweet compositions on lord Rama, just love listening to them.
More over the impact of these songs is enhanced through the voice of the Unnikrishnans'.
Daughter beat father at his own game of singing! Kudos to father and daughter duo!! 🌹🌷
Telugu what a language sounds best among south Indian languages
Power of MOTHER TELUGU ❤️. We are lucky that THYAGARAJA born on TELUGU land. Thanks for Tamil and Malayali people for protecting it. 🙏🏻
U have got to watch another version of this song from the movie devadoothan its magical🤩
As soon as you guys opened, I was waiting for a your mum or that's what she said comment 😂😂😂😂
Jeez that was so beautiful! The control was insane 🙌🏽💜
Oh this song never fails to give me chills no matter how many times I listen to it. And yes, there are many versions of this song available that are performed by some great artists.
A muscular cloud that gently envelops you. I think that’s the best description I have heard in years describing Unnikrishnans voice.
And the silence at the end of the song.. Perfectly sums it up.
This song is my all time favorite. There are many renditions (Devadoothan, Bala Murli Krishna’s and Mandolin Srinivas’s etc) but the full classical version always gives me goose bumps. Another nuance of this song that I enjoy is that, the slower it’s sung the more it envelops you
RUclips has no decency! They put an ad in the middle of a classical recital!
Peoples from KERALA always Rockzzzz😍😍😍😍😍 (മലയാളീ അല്ലേലും പൊളിയാ).👍👍👍
Great diction and pronunciation of the language though it is not their mother toung 🙏🏼
ഇതിൽ ആരാ മലയാളി?! 🙄
Rest all south India suck it seems...these mallus and their attitude ...
this is the last song pancharatna kritis of thyagaraja it is set in raga shree talam aadhi in carnatic traditional this song evokes is like thanks giving day like thanking teachers friends parents and gods like that
Unnikrishnan's voice is silky smooth and Uthara is power packed. Just too a good composition by our Saint Thiyagraja.🙏 U guys should listen to that award winning songs by the duo.
Beautiful telugu language
I love your respect and reactions to this admirable song.....great you are.....
You should see the Tyagaraja Aradhana. You will understand the love for Tyagaraja that Carnatic musicians have
A great devotee of lord Rama, Shri Thyagaraja Swami composition in Telugu done many centuries ago.
Excellent rendition by both father and daughter
Telugu language, the greatest and sweetest in the world.
Finest cinema version of endaro mahanubhavulu by chitturi nagayya garu and spb garu.don't miss.
Automatically you move your hand and beat the rhythm when you hear to Carnatic music 😀 that’s the magic.. wow 😯 they sounded very very soothing and it just calmed my mood.. it’s like therapy 😊.
Should watch saint Thyagaraja aaradhana, which is a temple concert to honour the great saint by thousands of Carnatic singers across the world comes at a place every year!!!
This is one of the 5 songs composed by Thyagaraja (considered as Carnatic musical God). The 5 songs are called as "Pancharathna Kritis", which is like a must learn for every carnatic music artist. You must check out the "Thyagara Aradhana" which is a music festival that happens in South of India, every year for almost 50yrs.. where 2000+ musicians come together and sings these 5 songs IN SYNC!!! It's sooo beautiful and will bring you to tears. Pls react to that
P Unnikrishnan one of rare Indian Classical artists who comfortably sings film songs too
One of my favourite song !! I used to listen this particular song most of the time to relax myself Utthara Unnikrishnan is a fabulous singer 😊👍
I like ms subbalakshmi amma version
God of karnatic music
Rick and Korbin fabulous Singing..
Father & Daughter .. flawless carnatic Music therapy .. Amazing.
Thanks
Many beautiful songs are sung by uthara unnikrishnan please react to all of them too u will surely enjoy 😉the music
Legendary composition by the great saint composer and member of the holy music Trinity, Saint Tyagaraja. Nearly every movie on his life, my personal favourite being the one featuring Nagaiah in the 1940s, has had this, probably the pinnacle of all his compositions beautifully rendered in them!
Flash news: Indian songs are not learnt by writing. They are memorised by reciting them over and over. So the style and the way a student sings depends on the style and lessons taught by the teacher. So if a teacher has learnt a variation from his / her guru, the same variation is carried along through their students for generations.
Never get bored listening to PanchaRathna Keerthanalu ....Especially that of Late. Balasubramanian garu.
And annual rituals of playing them in TN when I once visited...Just wow ...
The pancharatna kritis... The 5 gems are always sung the same... That is they are usually not improvised in carnatic as they are considered as gems as what they are...
that song was composed in the late 18th century by saint thyagaraja.
this is the last song of the pancharathna kritis. Usually they sing all the 5 songs together in one sitting for about an hour.
Another legend and his daughter from kerala....i think you would also love K J Yesudas version and the Malayalam movie Devadhootan version also...you know Yesudas right... u have reacted to one of his epic stage performance
Every day I Listen this song Specially When I'm in Travelling(Mostly in My local train)
I love this song ❤️❤️❤️
I know everyone enjoys a good classical rendition
That too with a modern instrument touch is always an earful
But I can go a step further and say that people who know telugu can enjoy it a lot more because tayagaraja compositions are just more than ragas and talas, it's full of sahitya and bhaava
Only a telugu known person can enjoy it to full depths
As a humble student of Karnatik music, I love the fact that you reacted to this great composition. I hear a ton of errors in their singing (pronunciation, tempo and pitch), but that's just my ear which cannot ignore errors. However, I truly loved Unni daughter's swarams for the stranza, "nee mEnu nAma" @10:57👌
I love Unni's National-award winning ARR's song: "Ennavale".
The guy on left-hand side used a word "embellishment" (=alankAram or sangati in Karnatik music), not many know what it is. I'm impressed with him too for reacting so well and I can right away see that he has lot of knowledge on India. I'm bew to this channel.
Thank you for making us listen to such lovely pieces which otherwise we are not aware of. Korbain was constantly moving though out the sound till the end. I enjoyed it with you.
Endharo mahanubhavulu andhariki vandhanumulu
Means Telugu language
Almost all carnatic songs are made in Telugu
Telugu is Godly language..
Sweetest language
From A. R Rahman to SPB.. All went through carnatic music.
The song was not improvised or remixed , but sung exactly as it was composed in all its elaboration.
There is a movie in Malayalam called Devadoothan starring Mohanlal as music composer. The best version of this song was done in that movie .
You should react to Thyagaraja Utsavam, which is held annually in South India. Where hundreds of Carnatic musicians gather, some of them very well known artistes, and perform this song and many others by Saint Thyagaraja. It is a divine experience 🙏
14:13 - "The whole atmosphere of this place changed " 🙏 Greatest compliment and truth of Bharatiya Carnatic music. Sant Thyagaraja, from Tiruvarur, was one of the most greatest Divine music composers the subcontinent ever got. He along with the two other greats : Sri Mutthuswamy Deekshitar and Sri Syama Sastri are all together called as "Trimurtis or Trinity of Carnatic Music" 🙏 Their songs can bring rain, wither sorrow and bring happiness and joy to anyone's heart and most times God her/himself onto the living plane to witness their devotee singing such heavenly hymns and satiating people's thirst for Bhakti (Devotion). My full respect to the Trimurtis and their prowess in lifting people's souls and uniting them with the Universe.
Do watch the Pancharatna Kritis performed at the Tyagaraja Aradhana festival....it is mesmerising.
Rick u got the chills for the best amongst the best charanam (stanzas of the songs)
This is not a devotional song, it the verbal representation of the humility of the singer/composer/writer Shri Thyagaraja, that there are many great people and he offers his salutations to them
The music is contemporized. You can find the actual music for the same song search for Endaro Mahanubhavulu by M Balamuralikrishna
It's beautiful how one sings the notes and the other follows with the lyrics. This is the beautiful structure of the kirtanam.
This is the umteenth time I'm recommending you to listen to Dr.Balamurali Krishna... His rendition is the textbook for all these... Thank me after you listen to it.
Whoever recommended this gets my gratitude and kudos 🙌🙏.... 😇👌👍👌👌🤩
About the gesture of counting the beats by hand. Check out this video - Adi Tala and Speeds - Carnatic Music Lessons by Sunadam. That how classical music teachers teach to count the 8 beats or any beats pattern to start with. By using the fingers and front and back hand tapping the singers know exactly on which beat out of 8 beat cycle they are on.
Loved watching Korbin unconsciously following the Adi-Taalam, the 8 beat rhythm. Thanks for watching this, a gem of Carnatic Music, albeit a contemporary version. You guys should watch the classic movie, Sankarabharam. SPB Sir was brilliant in it...one would never guess that he had not been trained in Carnatic.
I am sure God come down to earth to listen to their divine songs. Once sung by the saints
Thanks for accepting request of long backs and making a reaction video
You are lucky to have experienced this. This is the highest philosophy and the highest art.
I felt the same way after I finished listening to the song with you guys! The whole atmosphere changed inside me and outside as well! Thanks for reacting to this. Cheers
This is the ultimate song which every teacher will test to see your singing skills as well as any music instrument you trained
This is another tayaraja song so it is great and wonderful thanks.
Best to hear JON B HIGGINS,sing Entharo mahanubhavulu.he taught music in WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY and mastered Karnatak music learning from the greatest mastros. Also his rendition of Krishna nee beganae baro.,are phenomenal.
That's how you pass your legacy!!
You got to listen to more of this girl...uthara🥰
Omg..didnt expect you would react to this...wish u reacted to the actual performance at thyagarajar kovil
Greatest legend of Kannada(A language of South India) Dr.Rajkumar's photo included in your background photos along with all respectfull personalities 🙏🙏😍😍Goosebumps moments 💪💪💪
Guys , it's time to watch Bandish Bandits. It's been a long time you watched webseries.
This is written and composed by Saint Tyagaraja. It’s his composition written way back... I’ve learnt classical too and we all learn almost the same way. As Unnikrishnan and his daughter did, they just improvised by adding small little notes here and there and made it sound amazing! You cannot change the saint’s composition too much. That’s talent. You should react to one of those Tyagaraja aaraadhana festivals to see everybody singing these songs exactly the same way.
The music is divine.. yes. its great to see subtititle to understand meaning. Thats the feeling you got..
If you enjoyed this, please do listen to the legendary Balamurali Krishna's version, you'll be mesmerized and find yourself in a trance state. Also please listen to Seetha kalyana vaibhogame in his voice.
Salutations to the genius of the man who composed this centuries ago and it still mesmerizes Carnatic fans all over the world… Mahanubhavudu 🙏
So glad you picked this! Uttara's voice is magical. She is P unnikrishnan's daughter btw.
Godly heavenly VOICE OH MY GOD🙌✨✨💜🤩🙏
React to Mohanlal's Endaru Mahanubhuvulu from the malayalam movie, Devadoothan.
Best version out there. The music😭❤️
I'm personally learning this song on my flute.... such a Carnatic masterpiece
This is real Indian culture and divine music 🙏🙏🙏👌👏👏👏
