Where in the world are you? I fish in the American and Sacramento rivers for Shad, and even though they run together you need a different presentation for each one. That is a lot of connections and knots to go wrong.
+RabbitBully I fish for shad in the Willamette River in Oregon. Near the Clackamas River Mouth. I totally agree with you, there are a lot of connections, but with my experience I haven't had an issues with knots breaking or lines getting tangled. However, I am fishing from a boat, so it's much easier to keep all the lines where they need to be.
What about a swim bait would it work?
I've never experimented with swimbait, but I'm sure a small swimbait with a tail would work great!
Poor shad, they have it super hard. Just about every predator over 2 lb loves them.
Hahaha, yep very true!

Berserk 916 dumb question can u have multiple lures or hooks on a line in Sacramento? I guess I could look in reg book but that would require effort
RabbitBully I fish from shore on American river. Use jig head grub and pinch lead onto line
Good video friend

Thats a drop shot
Use a sabiki rig
Sabiki has way to many hooks which will make it snag almost instantly.
