My favorite all around setup is the Penn 30 VSW (wide) loaded with 65 pound Momoi Diamond Blue mono on 50-80 class standup rods. It will handle any mahi, small Bluefin and average Yellowfin. We're not out there looking for billfish, so it's perfect for us. Lighter overall weight and high line capacity won't wear out the angler.
How much line does yours hold with straight 65?
