Ma'am we use may if possibility more than might...but you said that might can be used when possibility is more than may... Can you please tell me the concept of using 'may' & 'might'... please explain....
Use may when the possibility is stronger or when asking for permission. Use might when the possibility is weaker, for suggestions, or to indicate past possibilities.
In many cases, "should" is more commonly used in everyday language, and "ought to" is slightly more formal or less common. However, both can be used to express the same idea of recommending or advising someone to do something. "Ought to" and "should" are both modal verbs that express similar ideas of obligation, duty, or advisability.
Conditional Sentences: Describes hypothetical situations: "If I won the lottery, I would travel the world." Past Habits: Describes regular actions in the past: "When I was a child, I would play outside every day." Polite Requests and Offers: Makes polite offers or requests: "Would you like a cup of tea?" Hypothetical Situations: Discusses imagined scenarios: "It would be nice to have a holiday." Future in the Past: Talks about a future event from a past perspective: "He said he would call me." Preferences: Expresses a preference: "I would rather stay at home tonight." Advice: Gives recommendations: "I would suggest you see a doctor."
