Well its cuz most of the stories, whether or not their paranormal, these things can happen to anyone of us at anytime. Human beings are truly the most terrifying, unpredictable species on the planet, were hardwired by media to believe that ghosts, demons, vampires, etc. are more scary than the person sitting beside us, even though we don't know whether or not that person could or couldn't be a stalker, or worse, a serial killer.

I have a true scary story. When I was little I used to live with my mom and dad like a normal little child. I remember my dad being on the abusive side while my mom lived in terror. My parents split up when I was only 3 years old. Me, my mom, and my baby sister moved in with my grandparents ( aka my mom's parents) and everything went well for the next few years. Eventually when I was 7 my mom and dad got back together and it was okay for a few months. My dad looked as if he was a better man now we eventually moved back in with him in Clarksville Tennessee. Sometimes my dad would still get a little abusive but is was rare so I ignored it. Soon when I was 9 we moved to Alabama with my dad were apparently there were better jobs and work opportunities. For the next few months it was okay. My mom and were getting along well and it was nice that we were a modern happy family. One night though my dad exploded with anger. I don't remember what the argument was about but it was bad. I didn't want to get involved so I stayed in my room. My sister was already asleep at the time so at least she didn't have to worry. I looked out my bedroom door to see how bad the argument had gotten. All I could see was my mom sitting on the couch silent while may dad hovered over here screaming in rage. I didn't know what to do since I was only nine but then I remembered that my mom had gotten me a bb gun that shot metal bb's so I grabbed it and walked out my bedroom and pointed it at my dad. He looked at me with meanest eyes I had ever seen. He told me to shoot it and dared me to. I stood there frozen in fear. My dad took the bb gun away from me and continued to yell at my mom. I went back to my room and fell asleep to their arguing. A couple days later my mom and dad were arguing again and my other grandparents(aka my dad's parents) came to get me and my sister while my parents continued to argue. I asked my my grandparents what was going but they didn't answer. The next morning we went back to my house so me and my sister could get ready for school. We returned to see the screen door busted and an indention in our wooden kitchen floor. My mom and dad split up again and we moved back in with my grandparents(aka my mom's parents) and my mom told me me what happened that night. Apparently after me and my sister left my dad abused my mother by hitting her and throwing her down on the kitchen floor causing the indention. I don't exactly remember what caused the screen door but my dad probably hit it in a fit of rage. Me and my sister have lived happy lives since but our mom has struggled since though. She takes antidepressants now and has told me she has had nightmares since that night. I am 12 now and I am glad my dad is outta my life now. I still worry sometimes that my mom could have been killed. Luckily my dad goes to rehab and lives very far away now. I still think about these events from time to time. Thank you for reading.
