- There is a good chance you have not had a rum like this. It is Jamaican, Single Barrel Cask Strength - 68% and finished in a California "Maderia" Barrel. Pretty intense and very flavorful!
Cheers!

Free rum!!!
Wheee!!!!
Sounds like fun.
Fun indeed! Cheers!
Always enjoy wine cask spirits. I have a wine background (thus Vino) and really enjoy the subtle fruit notes. Good stuff, Pete!
I like the wine finished too, port and vermouth ones are usually fun. Cheers Vino!!
I am with you on this - one of the best whiskies I have had was an Auchentoshan distillery special edition finished in a Pinot Noir cask. Such interesting fruity notes.
Free rum is great rum! Awesome talk and haircut!
Yes! Thanks for watching!
Love to hear about a small importer doing cool experiments! None available near me, but I'll keep an eye out for future releases.
Thats right, a cool experiment! Not a ton of bottles produced, but hopefully more to come in the future.
Yum! and I like the high proof stuff!
I used to love the higher proof stuff, but I'm getting old and my body gets mad at me!
Only thing better than rum, is FREE rum!
You said it!
I always appreciate the rum reviews! I'm going to have to seek this out. I happen to be traveling to Calinfornia next week...
Ah good hunting! Might be a challenge to track down, but you could probably locate it on line ahead of your trip. Have fun!
@@UnclePete, I was able to track one down in advance. I'm excited to try it out!
Dope!
love your stuff!!! first!?
I bestow that honor upon you! Cheers!
Not sure about a presidente with this given the grade, but maybe a good one for the mai tai extravaganza (I hope) you have coming up. You know, just as like a float or something not the main rum.
That is a good idea, people get very passionate about their Mai Tais, but I should do that for summer!
@@UnclePete No rules!
That looks like a fun rum. I think you’re in PDX! Any reccs for liquor stores with a good rum selection?? I’ve been trying to branch out and try some more
The best liquor store for rum is in aloha. It’s called Farmington liquor and they have a ton of good stuff. If you are not wanting to go that far, westmorland has a great selection. Hope this helps!
@@UnclePete fantastic, thanks!!
Nice subliminal messaging!
Gotta keep em engaged!
Madeira is just "Madeira style port", they should just call it California port.
Well, Port and Madiera are different, but I think they should just come up with a new name, Port is protected too I think... They should come up with something fun.
Wow! A St. Lucian rum in the mail? Yahoo... sign me up! Your vid made me really want to taste, but being in the Midwest, I'll probably never see it...
Well there’s lots of rum in the world!
