      I think in general the rule is 2 land crossings a year. However, it's still at the immigration officers discretion. If they see you crossing by land or air repeatedly, they can deny your entry or give you less than the maximum number of days. If you're passport stamps suggest that you're living there full time, they're going to question you and tell you to get the proper visa (and they'll put it in their computer system)

    Good day, I would like to know, when you first entered thailand, did they request an Onward ticket at customs or immigration before giving you a 45 day Visa exemption?
    If so, please advise if I want to extend the 30days to the 45days, do i need proof of Onward ticket to show and does the dates have to correspond with 45+30=75 days on my Onward ticket?

    • @shoiku4734
      @shoiku4734 Год назад

      According to Thai immigrations website, onward ticket is necessary. Personally, I had a return ticket so they didn't ask. The onward ticket has to show your exit before the 45 days is up... because the extension has to be separately applied for. U can further check it online to make sure this is correct.

      Hey guys, I have been living in Thailand since October 2022. I was asked for a ticket out of Thailand the last time I flew back from Malaysia which it never happen before. I was not asked when I arrived for the first time in October. I was not asked last week to enter Thailand (March 25) when I went on another trip. So, I think they do ask randomly not every time. I was ready to buy a ticket in case they would ask me though. Also, you can buy a bus ticket out of Thailand to Cambodia for around $25 USD (Bangkok-Cambodia) just to show you have a ticket out of Thailand. I hope this helps

A visa agent offered me this for 50k but if I do the paperwork it's like half price, but obviously peace of mind letting others do it, in Laos keep in mind the embassy does not accept any agents doing this for you, at least not officially, sorry for making a super long reply, I can add a potato at the end 🥔
