i'm trying to plan a solo trip to Pattaya in 2023. Is it true that foreigners entering Thailand are required at the port of entry to show proof of planned travel to leave Thailand within 45 days of the arrival date. I wanna do exactly what u did but do I book a one-way flight or round trip flight before I come?

When you first went to Thailand on the 45 day, did you need to have a return flight to get into the country? if so, what did you do with the flight, get a refund, not use it, etc?
After 3 years they will tell you to return to your home country for at least 30 days. New human trafficing laws there are cracking down on marriages, visas and Thais traveling to other countries.
Hard to say "good bye" to Bangkok, right? 😅(even couple days) Take care & Merry X'mas, glad to know I can enjoy your travel's clips more in Thailand. (ขอบคุณสำหรับวิดีโอดีๆ ครับ)
Thailand still allows you to do Visa runs? I thought they abolished that and now you can only stay there on a 3-month visa? Or you have to buy the $18,000 elite Visa.
I think in general the rule is 2 land crossings a year. However, it's still at the immigration officers discretion. If they see you crossing by land or air repeatedly, they can deny your entry or give you less than the maximum number of days. If you're passport stamps suggest that you're living there full time, they're going to question you and tell you to get the proper visa (and they'll put it in their computer system)
Good day, I would like to know, when you first entered thailand, did they request an Onward ticket at customs or immigration before giving you a 45 day Visa exemption? If so, please advise if I want to extend the 30days to the 45days, do i need proof of Onward ticket to show and does the dates have to correspond with 45+30=75 days on my Onward ticket?
According to Thai immigrations website, onward ticket is necessary. Personally, I had a return ticket so they didn't ask. The onward ticket has to show your exit before the 45 days is up... because the extension has to be separately applied for. U can further check it online to make sure this is correct.
Hey guys, I have been living in Thailand since October 2022. I was asked for a ticket out of Thailand the last time I flew back from Malaysia which it never happen before. I was not asked when I arrived for the first time in October. I was not asked last week to enter Thailand (March 25) when I went on another trip. So, I think they do ask randomly not every time. I was ready to buy a ticket in case they would ask me though. Also, you can buy a bus ticket out of Thailand to Cambodia for around $25 USD (Bangkok-Cambodia) just to show you have a ticket out of Thailand. I hope this helps
Super Useful, Thank You for sharing this important information!👍 Obviously it depends on what type of Visa someone has, but overall, what's the maximum that you can stay or visit Thailand in one calendar year, i.e. two, three month visits, for a total of 6 months, once a year, etc... Thanks Again!

Hi, I'm thinking of doing this myself 1st time from Pattaya. Can you just park up & walk across border to Cambodia & walk back & get a stamp for another 30 days? What paperwork do they need if any? Thanks😊
Hi 👋🏾, so I’ve always gone thru an agency service that handles all my paperwork and the process is super smooth. I’m sure you could do it on your own but I’m not exactly sure what you’d need.
@@theisaiahashleyshow4251 Ok, my agent is charging 5000 to go, could prob do for 2000 with car hire & petrol, but as you say less hassle with agent with paperwork but might try & see on my own, thoughts of being stuck in a packed small van for 3.5hrs each way is not that appealing lol
So, just to be clear, as Canadians we receive a 30 day visa when arriving in Bangkok; if we want to extend our stay we can either leave the country by land for an extension of 45 & this can be twice in calendar year. Or we can fly out of the country, return with another 30 day visa & this can be done as many times as you like?
Then an get a 30 day extension at immigration here. Land border crossings twice a year. Plane unlimited but they still could get suspicious and deny you. The 45 day visa exemption stamps is set to stop in March of 2023
@@sabrinas2181 The visa exemption is exactly what us say an exemption & not a Tourist visa. It is normally 30 days & that can be extended 30 days in Country at any immigration office. They have however made the visa exemption 45 days from the 1st of October to the 31st of March this year & unless they extend it then it will reverse back to 30 days. You can only enter Thailand by land or sea on visa exemption stamps 2 times in any Calendar year & you can only stay a max of 90 days on any 6 month period. Thailand Tax year is a Calendar year & if you are in Country for more than 180 days in a Calendar you are classed as resident for tax purposes & you can only stay in Country up to 180 days in any Calendar year on Tourist visas.
Prior to the border crossing, did you have to extend your accommodation or wherever you were staying and leave your stuff there or did you bring whatever you had with you "just in case"?
Hey man, I have a really important question, did you have to get a Cambodia stamp in your passport? Or did you not actually go into Cambodia? I'm trying to price this up 😅
