  • The new Analog Tachometer was released last winter by Indian Motorcycles for the Scout, Scout Bobber, and Scout Rogue lineup. I was one of the first to get my hands on it, and here is my review after several hundred miles with it.

Good review and you already know I'm a Gauge-Guy myself 👍😎 and Totally agree with the fact that the confidence of what I see, and you Can See It, allows me to focus more on the important things while riding.

I’m old school. Definitely like the look of it and having it separate from the speedo. I’m actually picking the tach up today!

Ty jumbobbington saw your vid a few months ago and yes I got one on April 22 put it on the next day and as you suggested yes put it on the right side looks good ty. I have s 2021 got it late October had to wait 4 an half months to get it in thunderblack azul crystal and yes did mods. You know we cant leave chit alone. For you n your subs my list of mods are. Analogue tack, wind deflector, custom dynamics front turn signals, eagle head light, tank bag, rims from the bobber 60, passanger seat an pegs, emgo shorty mufflers, an the comfort seat.
That seat pushed me up an inch n forward an inch perfect for my 5'7" body.
Got new shocks but I fd up got the 12" ones lol half Inch to long couldnt put them on hit the muffler brackets. But hay we live an learn. Keep up the vids sr an ty ty.
To the rest of the bobber nation. From the reeper7823 mod that "sum b with an ich" out.
Till next time I'm out an off to never never land.

Totally agree Jim. I'm thinkin I'll buy it next season. The standard tach is just useless. Plus analog tachs are just awesome. Nothing like burying the needle.🤣

Thanks Jim. As I continue to countdown the days until 4/29 when my 22 #darkvaderbobber ships I remember going over and choosing all of the many Options available as I built my Bobber. I started with options that I felt were going to be the most Practical ...options that I know will better the performance and feel...like the Fox Adjustable Rear Shocks ( Im a Big guy at 280lbs) and the upgraded comfort seat.... Both of which I've watched numerous numerous Vlogs on as being clearly beneficial for someone like me. Next....the Safety of the Pathway LED Headlight upgraded.... MUCH BETTER LIGHT #1 Reason... Looks Coool As F$#&!!! Then the comfort of mini floorboards...etc etc. What I REEEEALLY Wish they would offer is a Gas guage!!! THAT WOULD BE WORTH IT!!!
The cost of the Analog Tach to me was just not worth it. I actually chose the clear LED Directionals...again a real Practical choice both looks & safety. Thanks Jim!

I couldn’t agree more it’s bizarre the amount of people that have nothing good to say about it. Which is fine, but there’s no need to tell someone that wants one how dumb/useless it is. I know I use to frequent the forum on a daily basis, but there’s some on there that make it less fun. Just one of a few reasons I only look at it and read a bit weekly anymore, and maybe add a comment here and there if it can be helpful. Some on there in my opinion should certainly ride more, and type less.
I’m actually very impressed with the price, especially being a genuine accessory. I’ve installed aftermarket tachs from Barron, and Cobra on previous bikes, and they were more expensive, and didn’t look factory.
I only have one complaint. In the kit they include a new speedometer trim ring in black, which I’m sure is for the 2021 and up regular scouts, so the speedometer trim can match the black tachs. 1) I’m not sure why they include it with the antique cream tach, because the gauge it matches is already chrome. 2) Since they do include it, it’d be nice if they had a smaller one, so you could make the chrome tach ring black as well. I don’t know why I’m usually not a fan of blacking a bike out, but I’ve done a fair bit on my scout. It’d be nice to use the black trim ring, and have the tach match. Good video as always.

*I wonder how many of the analog haters can read a clock.* If it's higher than 90% of them, then we know they're the problem. LOL
