      Each to their own lol. I’m the weirdo who doesn’t mind weaving in ends 🤷‍♀️😂. Do you have to do much untangling?

    One way to guess-timate the amount of yarn neaded for the long tail cast on, wrap your yarn around your needle the same number of stitches and this will give you the approximate length you need. I usually wrap is 10 times and then use that as a gage for 10 stitches.
    As for the tension… practice practice practice is your best friend 😅

      @ I’ve been knitting for over thirty years at this point, my mother taught me when I was so young I can’t remember 😆
