I’ve done a bit of research and it appears that the male kookaburra has blue accents on his wing feathers and darker blue on the tail feathers. The female is usually larger and has less blue on the rump than the male. I can’t see its tail and rump but I think I can see some blue accents on the wing feathers. Thank you for reminding me never to assume anything.

The Parrot's colours are magnificent and I love the way they interact with each other. Kookaburras are just so likeable personality wise. My heart always flutters with delight when I see one.
