South Africa still has a lot to teach the world in terms of overcoming racial division and like how it happened in June 16, 1976 our youth always take the lead cause it's their future. If you were to come to South Africa you'll be surprised how united the children are as opposed to us grown ups
I would like to send a special s/o to our parents for sending us to schools they couldn’t afford so that we can make memories that last us a life time. And get an education of course 😂... Love you Mama nho Tata!
I hope we never americanize sports, it would be tame and boring. Outside of Europe the fans brings the "life" to the game, in America they have to create artificial "life" over loud-speaker or put on songs for people to sing to..
A South African from a Boys' only school and Inter School Competitions were always on point. We pledge our alligience to the badge, Fearless and Faithful.
Had a lump in my throat watching how my country is showing the world how we can beat racism. Don’t get me wrong, there’s still a lot of work to do, but when I was growing up in SA, blacks weren’t allowed in our school and now the kids sing together.
Yes, my sister wasn’t allowed in one school that’s been in the news for racism in Gauteng. I went to schools where we were the first and it damaged alot of us because the teachers were racist and the schools weren’t ready for transformation. We are far away from any rainbow nation… but I wish is we build up all schools to such prestige that this whole white schools are better can be shattered. Also we are not blacks we are Africans or Black people. Always capitalize us and saying “blacks” is racist. Just sharing so we can do better as a country.
Separated schools are the best 2nd thing in life. You learn about friendship, you go through adventures, true romance like sneaking out to date , going to the society and attending celebrations and festivals and balls for the first time and even if it’s more than once you get butterflies and get nervous because it’s not something taking for granted it’s special and the wait totally worth it. Only Americans think mixed schools are awesome! But in reality the separated schools are the last thing that reminds us of the good times from the past. Where boys are made to be gentlemen and girls to ladies. Now in African and asian societies they are important. It’s important so the people could get together and preserve the culture and traditions that’s being washed by those with no culture to preserve!
These are private schools. Public schools in South Africa are mixed (boys and girls). As a former all boys school, warcries were part of the school culture. All boys' schools are highly sports oriented like Rugby, Cricket, Soccer etc and that's where warcries are displayed in their glory.
I’m a proud South African I love being part of the rainbow nation they are both Co ed ,girls only and boys only schools in South Africa but all school have war cries to support their teams it was great being apart of this growing up ❤
I'm proud to be South African... The last one is about how we are all of the womb. We have the same blood. & it's being sung in zulu. These type of things you see at reunion days for old boys & old girls. I personally think the girl schools do it better
When the kids saw this they moved countries and schools alike. Bring it on brother, South Africa appears to shine in discouraging racism compared to MOST countries.
Unfortunately they’re using communist and woke ideology to bring as much blame and hate on whites as possible, much like wokism has in all western countries.
I miss home. I went to a mixed school in Zimbabwe junior school - sports day was the best. All girls school - still same war cries. We have mixed and single sex school. Music, dancing during sporting activities is the norm. The songs are old not stolen from American culture. We have a rich culture a beautiful one. I am almost 50 and in the uk - I was shocked by the school sports days in the uk. I feel the kids here are missing out.
we don't just have boys schools. we have co-ed (co-education) schools with both girls and boys. then we have same-sex schools, which you are seeing mostly the boys schools here. but most same-sex schools are private schools.
Nah these are just for fun and competition between 2 schools and u try be as loud as possible and often we make them in the spot and roast other schools
Private schools are mostly single sex. But they have sister schools close by, Then state schools are mixed sex but you still get single sex. War cries were fun..
as a fellow South African i have to say that some schools are divided into boys and girls but its more lit that way but these are just top teir schools you are seeing most schools dont have a school band only amapiano
So I am from South Africa and what most people do is In primary school we are in a boy and girl school and in high school we go to an only boy or only girl school we also only have primary and high school
Technical high schools used to be boys only until recent years. When I graduated back in 2017, I was one of 6 girls in a class of 30 students... But there is boys only colleges and schools same with girls only colleges and schools that's usually private schools.
@9:30 THE LAST WAR CRY TRANSLATED (not by myself) IsiZulu Thina siyazalana mama (we come from the same womb/ we're one blood) Mntana kamama (my mother's child) Ufik' izolo umntana kamama (he arrived just yesterday, my mother's child)
South Africa is just flavour, in everything even the English has flavour😂
South Africa still has a lot to teach the world in terms of overcoming racial division and like how it happened in June 16, 1976 our youth always take the lead cause it's their future. If you were to come to South Africa you'll be surprised how united the children are as opposed to us grown ups

Outside of Europe the fans brings the "life" to the game, in America they have to create artificial "life" over loud-speaker or put on songs for people to sing to..

No, SA public schools can also be all boys or girls
Plenty of private schools with boys and girls.
No there are public schools that are boys onlu
Football, not soccer. American game is not football but rugby in armour for the girls. Football is played with the foot, not with the hand
we had war cries at our girl's school 😄
Proudly South African ✊✊✊
Those are some of the most expensive boarding schools in the country and some even in the continent.

We dont need a beat, we were born with it! What you heard, all war cries of different cultures! 11 different cultures brought together!
I'm proud to be South African... The last one is about how we are all of the womb. We have the same blood. & it's being sung in zulu. These type of things you see at reunion days for old boys & old girls. I personally think the girl schools do it better

My guy we pour our heart and soul into these warcries
I know I’m 3yrs late but this was our school war cries… they are the Leaders of the schools and war cries…
These songs are not in any way related to American rap. They have the South African beat. They are original. The last one is a Xhosa song.
I miss home. I went to a mixed school in Zimbabwe junior school - sports day was the best. All girls school - still same war cries. We have mixed and single sex school. Music, dancing during sporting activities is the norm. The songs are old not stolen from
American culture. We have a rich culture a beautiful one. I am almost 50 and in the uk - I was shocked by the school sports days in the uk. I feel the kids here are missing out.

High school students perform better when girls and boys are separated.

That song where you talking about the batongs or whatever... That's a real war cry nothing taken from an American song
React to Tis. IJADU: PRESERVING OUR HERITAGE THROUGH ZULU DANCE CALLED IJADU. This is authentic zulu
The private schools do war cries, which are predominately white...In public schools we sing soccer songs ""Igwijo" which are predominately black
Ali bomaye hit differently
Technical high schools used to be boys only until recent years. When I graduated back in 2017, I was one of 6 girls in a class of 30 students... But there is boys only colleges and schools same with girls only colleges and schools that's usually private schools.
