- With 'Esther' now back on the road, I joined some friends on a trip out to Southend for the Southendmodz @southendmodz Easter car meet.
We enjoyed a 'spirited' drive to the event and when we arrived there was such an awesome variety of cars to check out!! Including: loads of classic Fords, some classic American muscle cars, a Chevvy V8 powered Vauxhall Kadett (which I stupidly thought was a Monza! ❌) and even a FULL carbon fibre bodied R32 GTR!

I used to have an Electric/Monza Blue MK3 Cortina GT 2dr back in the 80's, I gave £50 for it with a noisy Camshaft 👍
@HarryHewitt-lh8xx Yeah. I was a Ford mechanic back then, felt like I did a million of them 😂 The GT I had came in P/X at the dealer I was working at, was mint apart from a few hours work!
Quality video mate and it sure was a good meet. The white kit car is mine and I didn't know you'd seen it before, must've missed you at the AMD cars and coffee last year. It was nice to finally meet you and Cat and see Esther for the first time she is definitely impressive in person. Cheers for not filming me absolutely embarrassing myself getting out of the car, it's like climbing out of the bath with your legs tied together. Anyway cheers for the videos you've certainly helped me out more than once working out where bolts go!

I remember when I owned a Mk2 Golf years ago with a badgeless grill I thought it would be funny to fit a Ford badge to make it look like a Mk2 Escort! 😃 . . . . I didn't actually end up doing it tho.

howzit outa South Africa, yeah tis called a bantam . the came out with them CVH carb engines . u get a mazda version that looks identical that came out EFi. they sought after that side? can get a few if your mates be looking for them

Hi Marcus I'm trying to track down my first car again 1972 ford escort Mexico 1598cc with type 49 lotus body in french electric blue i sold it to a friend of a friend who's nick name was toolbox it was originally my fathers car he bought it new from Adlards gave me when i was 16 with 22 k on the clock i sold it in 1995/6 i was wondering if you have seen it on the seen I believe toolbox lived near canvey island
