  • This Volvo s60 had its timing jump to due a belt failure. Let's remove the head to repair the bent valves. While we're in there, this car burns a ton of oil due to a known piston ring defect. Let's pull them out and replace the piston rings.

About to do this job. What does a machine job generally charge for refurbishing a bent valve head?

In my area refurbing a cylinder head like the one in the video is close to $1000. Unfortunately good machine work isn't cheap

Have you got a preferred source for the connecting rod bolts? Fcp or arp directly? Or?

FCPeuro is a great source for the OEM bolts. ARP hardware is excellent but not really necessary for a stock rebuild. OEM is totally fine unless building some kind of high performance motor

@@NotEnoughProjects Hi Lukas I see If you do not mind a suggestion, seeing as hoiw the sie=des of the Chinook are ,well, kind of weak, and do not have a solid structure or support, why not acquire some aluminum or steel tubing and attach it to the floor and to the front and rear sections of the vehicle Do you know what I mean? Can I come and help you?

    • @NotEnoughProjects

That's exactly what I'm thinking. Likely will land on some square steel tubing for the wall structure then bond aluminum sheet on for the outer skin
