Married to a girl from Barranquilla and it’s now one of my favorite places. Will eventually retire there, at least part of the year. (The cold winter months in the US, I’ll spend in Barranquilla) Great people and cost of living is great! Enjoy, and if you’re still there in February, I hear Carnival is the bomb!!!
That’s amazing man, congrats! Great life goals. It is an amazing city and the north of the city is basically Miami. I agree, I was originally skipping the cold winter months in Canada in Miami and then because of the complicated VISA process, I went to Mexico and then was invited to Colombia, where I actually met my girlfriend at carnaval here. And yes it IS a blast. And I’m also living here half of the year or more and the warmer months in Canada.
New subscriber here, just found you today. Your videos give me hope. I'm almost 50 and have been working in Corporate America for almost 30 years. I make a 6 figure salary but am tired of the rat race and these taxes. I feel so unsatified and unfulfilled. Thanks again for sharing that a different life is possible.
Thanks for the sub!! Appreciate you man. And 100% an alternative life is very very possible. I made 6 figures in Canada, too. But the rat race, cold weather, and CONSTANT bitching about politics and economics was tiring. If you’re American, Colombia is just 1 option of MANY. Mexico, Costa Rica, Peru, and Argentina are my other top choices. Stay tuned- a new video from a new country is dropping TODAY! 🙏🏼
Please tell us the best way to dress in Colombia (for men and women) so that we can blend in with the locals. Also tell us about getting a SIM card when arriving in Colombia (why, where, and when to get it).
Fantastic questions that I can’t believe I didn’t think about discussing yet. I’ll respond fully in my upcoming video. But here’s a brief answer: dress down. Jeans/pants and basic t shirts or polos with sneakers or sandals. SIM cards: you can use an e-SIM app or buy a local one. I’ll cover both of these in detail in my “follow me for a day” video. It’s not the one I’m releasing this weekend, but the one after that 👍🏼
I went there yesterday. Puerto Colombia has some ugly beaches. That’s why I prefer the DR also. Loads of white sand beaches with not many ppl. Congrejo beach in puerto plata is usually almost empty.
this beach cant be compared to the white sand and clear water beaches of the Caribbean in places like Dominican Republic and Jamaica but its ok for a 3rd rate beach I guess.
You’re right. Not a single beach in South America can compete with the Caribbean. Luckily, I’ve been to DR 5 times, Mexico 4 times, Bahamas, Bermuda, Barbados, Turks & Caicos, Cayman Islands, and Cuba. Even the Florida Keys and Miami have nicer beaches. I bring those memories with me and enjoy this as much as I can! And will be returning to one of those above islands soon 🤫
Dear sir, 1. Video SEO is n't done. 2. Videos don't have add End screens. 3. Videos don't have Rank Tag. 4. Video Views & Subscribes is very low. I hope you are well. I researched your RUclips channel. Your channel Video is very good but there are many Gaps in the videos. If you do the above tasks correctly and upload your videos, then your channel will grow much more than the current time. I can help you If you want. Thank you Show less

Welcome!! Try the corozo juice! Have you been at riverwalk? Siempre bienvenido!!
Where is river walk? Gracias 🙏🏼🙏🏼
@@jonathanells when i said riverwalk i meant el malecón.
Broather welcome to barranquilla Atlántico Colombia you house
Muchas gracias 🙏🏼🙏🏼
What’s the name of this place?
Club Pradomar I think
Love Kily
It’s the best one there!
@@jonathanells I agree, I booked a night at the hotel and had the pleasure of hearing the sound of the waves at night. Highly recommended 👍

DR definitely has wayyyy nicer beaches. The best beaches in all of Colombia are in Parque Tayrona.
@@jonathanells ok. Im gonna check it out. I’ll be down here for a while.
You have to pay to go to any of the beaches- either via taxi or boat- but they are much much better than Puerto Colombia
@jonathanells ok. have you ever been to "playa Fronton" in the Dominican Republic?
No I haven’t! But I’ve been to many beaches there and they are all gorgeous

Jaja ... we like Pradomar better, anyway. 😉
Kily is more fancy, but I didn’t mind Pradomar. I just like the beach and Pradomar has far fewer tourists 👍🏼
