The last video had a lot going on in it, so I wanted to do one that calmed down a bit.

I'm not sure why I got so much white noise from my amps in this one, I apologize for that.
Video was recorded on a Flip Ultra HD, audio was recorded via Logic Pro 9.

@martusonline no, i didn't loop anything actually. the drone comes from the repeat button on the Timefactor which just sustains the current note until you turn it off.

The LINE6 DL4 is some killer looper/delay !
@pollometalero hey, no problem! the cables that allow me to get so close are just Hosa 6" pancake cables... i believe i got a 6 pack for $12 on ebay. and in this video, i am using the Repeat button on the Timefactor, which gives that infinite drone sound (until i turn it off), and on the DL4 i am simply using the Ping Pong mode to get a nice stereo delay.

@TheeLoveland87 for these videos i don't worry about tempo, since there is no need to sync with anything later. for other recordings i always record to a click.

@BradL091 I am not sure, but i have seen them used in other custom electronics. Where someones makes a simple electronic device and uses the tin to house all the components, instead of buying a generic black box from radio shack to put them in.
@natesyourmom yeah, i threw the RV-5 on my first board because of a show I played with my other band, needed to have reverb and i only wanted to take the one board. so the end goes RV-5 -> Timefactor -> DL4 -> Verbzilla

@Theprose the hold function on the Boss DD-6 or 5 does something similar, but will sound choppier. i don't know of anything else that will do what the timefactor does though.

I hafta believe it's a little cheaper than buying a Korg M50 ... and it very admirable that you should have refined your skills in sound creation to the level you have buy I think I'll hold off on buying all this gear till I see what the afore-mentioned unit can do for my creativity outlay. Kudos just the same.
PS if you get boss' Loop station you'll be much happier than this Line6 green thing. It is stereo and does plenty of things!
@tubescreamer ok thats what i thought, i have seen however the bigger altoids tins used for holding ebows, but the little one threw me off.

1- What kind of cables do you use?, i mean all the pedals are really close, and thats one of my problems in my pedalboard, they are all separated.

i like your songs and soundscapes.....very relaxing! i'm getting a bit into ambiental music lately, but in a more radical rocking way.....something between pink floyd and u2....that sort of sounds.....perhaps in the near future, when i buy some effects pedals such as delay, filter, reverb, fuzzbox i could record my ideas and share them with you and the rest of youtube community....but right now i have a question - how do you get that ''hold'' effect?

hey man..love you're stuff. quick question, when writing and recording your soundscapes, do you try to keep time while playing? or do you just 'feel' it and not worry too much about tempo?
