I enjoyed your video. You are absolutely correct on all your points. I've visited Japan and I'm Canadian. While in Japan, I was so surprised by the extent of the use of cash culture in such a modernised country. I have to admit I was a little frustrated by having to take out cash so often to pay for things. lol But I loved how Japan didn't have garbage cans all over the place overflowing with trash. I loved the clean, quiet, reliable, efficient transportation system.I loved Japan. It was a magnificent country. I enjoyed your video.

Actually, Japan doesn’t have public trash bins. Because of anti terrorism. Sometimes it’s not convenient , on the other hand, we have the habit of taking home trash ☺️anyway, thank you for watching my video!!
I used to live in Vancouver, but now I live in Montreal. In my opinion, every Canadian is different in its own way. I feel like in Montreal, for example, people bike not so much as a hobby, but as transportation - though I agree that in Vancouver it’s much more of a hobby.

1:32 - I forgot what you call that vehicle on the left, so I had to look it up on Google. It's called a segway. In real life, I probably have seen people ride this a few times, but the version which has no handlebars.
The vehicle on the right is a called monowheel. I am impressed people can keep their balance on that.

Tina, do you find public transportation is punctual where you are in BC?
In my city, sometimes the bus just never shows up or is late by over 1 hour. In the winter time sometimes the bus just never comes which can be difficult or sometimes dangerous in very cold weather. It is one thing that I envy about Japan. I don't enjoy having to drive cars everywhere! 😝
Public transportation is not bad in BC. They are delayed sometimes, but it's within 10 minutes for now I've seen.
But, my friend experienced the bus were delayed for 30 minutes with fog....😶🌫️
What are the differences in how people act? I've seen complete strangers here in Canada strike up conversation at times, meanwhile in most Asian countries (speaking from experience with India) you won't see that happen often (although i see some older women do that from time to time)
you are right. In Japan, we don't talk with strangers except senior. Also, we don't really do eye contact.
Cash culture still exists in Japan, but that doesn't mean we can't pay using cards, because in Japan there have also started to be a lot of payments using cards or suica pay/pay pay. So just choose to use cash or card. I see that young people in Japan also pay using cards or suica pay/pay pay
That’s right! But some stores don’t allow to make a payment on cash, such as a small ramen shop etc…
Just be careful to forget to bring cash!
@@Tina-Japan Oh, that's true, like small shops, but it depends, in rural areas we might encounter cash only payments, but in big cities on average the majority already have card transactions.

I think so! But, It depends on region. My city is not strict, but other city is so strict....the reason why that is because a Waste management facility is different !! Anyways I'm happy you enjoy my video!!
Hey, hope you're enjoying Canada! I live in Vancouver. I'm thinking about moving to Japan on a working holiday visa. I was in Japan last August and I loved it! Japan is more developed and has a lot more going on.
It is very hot in JP during that time.
