    As far as that delicious treat I would prefer to say it as an “Ice cream cone “ 😌 but also there many who just say ice cream ( not even referencing the cone ) I’m sure it can get confusing at times . We got your back Tina ! ( oh that’s an expression that basically says you are supported ) 😆

    I believe you are correct in your observation. In Japanese, the vowels "aiueo" and the fact that words typically end in vowels mean that one doesn't need to move their mouth as much. However, English requires more mouth movement. One reason for this is that some vowels, like the 'a' in "apple," require opening the mouth in a smile-like shape to produce the sound correctly. Additionally, some consonants need an open mouth to generate sufficient airflow. The reason for this difference is that Japanese generally distinguishes sounds based on whether they are voiced or unvoiced, while English not only differentiates voiced sounds but also requires distinguishing strong aspirated sounds, which isn't necessary in Japanese. Therefore, I agree with your observation that speaking Japanese doesn't require as much use of facial muscles.

    :0, this was really interesing - for me since I also have an 'asian-shaped'/round mouth - I didn't realise I was making like a smiley face when I pronounce words etc. I tried pronouncing some of the jap ik with the 'round' mouth and it was also interesting how it changed sound and tone ig (maybe it was just me and the placebo effect but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) Also, almost at 1k subscribers wahh it feels like it's been like one week ago since u started so yay :DDD

  • @slayla2926
    @slayla2926 13 дней назад

    your pronunciation already sounds more native i think the smiley mouth is working !! i noticed that in english (especially in North America) people open their mouths really wide and say all the syllables strongly. there is this pronunciation technique called shadowing where you say the same words along with a recording of a native speaker, to try to copy the accent- i think it can help 🐸
