Truly Appreciate the Guide! About to transition my daily routine into something local. E-biking will definitely keep the cost down 🙂
Glad you enjoyed it! And good luck getting an ebike
it bothers me so much how people are mad for anyone on the road other then a car, yet in some places your not even loud to ride a bike on the side walk ,-, for someone who suffers from anxiety, there is no win win D: probs will just get a e scooter and ride on a side walk at slow speeds, alot safer then bikes on the side walk .
I'm someone who was anxious about riding on the road too, but I've gotten pretty good at it. You just gotta keep looking behind you making sure cars don't get too close. Don't be pressured to go fatser than you like. And of course, if you feel unsafe, don't be afraid to get on the sidewalk. In the suburb I live in, sidewalks just end sometimes and there are zero bike lanes so I don't really have a choice.
@@antonioiniguez1615 I got some.handle bar mirrors off amazon and they took care of that immediately i feel a lot already. I also have the turn signal and spotlight for at night and a horn.
Great info! So many cyclist and motorist are in need of learning about the rules of the road!
Thanks! We agree, hope this helps some.
Guys Thanks I have shared this with a lot of folks.. I’m still amazed that folks don’t have a clue
of Rules of The Road.. Thanks..
You're welcome! Than you for sharing the video.
New subscriber here, totally unfamiliar with E bikes but, looking for an alternative for in town errands. Thanks for the refresher!
Thanks! and you are welcome!
Not mentioning the benefit of why the front light is on during the day is an over-sight.
Great info
Hand signals only work if both you and motorists around you know what they mean.
I don’t signal a Right turn because I’m not crossing anyone’s path of travel and hold my Left arm out straight to signal a Left turn.
Instead of hand signals for turns, wouldn't signal lights work better? I hope you review e-bike turn signal lights. Amazon sells a set of four for both the front and back of the bike that also can be used as four-way hazard flashers. But do they fit on bulky brawny electric bikes? I hope you answer that question. As far as I know, Juiced is the only company that sells e-bikes with front and rear turn signal lights on a couple models. Too bad they're always sold out.
Great video thanks allot
Thanks! You’re welcome
Very informative, my bike class says 2/3, little confused what rules to be followed.
Hey awesome video but what if you are on a main road with no bike lane?
Good presentation. l would like to add that high visibility clothing and flashing lights for your bike are enhancements to safe riding.
My bike didn't come with turn signals, but I'm going to order a set, front and rear. Until then, I'll continue to use hand signals.
Lastly, drivers can be unpredictable at times, so you have to try to anticipate their unexpected lane changes and other erratic behaviors.
Sometimes they might have their blinker on, but continue on, straight into you, if you didn't yield to them.
It's hard, but you really have to consider all the possibilities and plan accordingly. It's my responsibility to signal my intentions and be as predictable as possible.
Tracking a straight path, not weaving or zig zagging.
Lastly, a word of caution regarding riding on sidewalks.
As l approach pedestrians, especially from behind, it's important to determine if they have earbuds on.
They may not hear your horn.
I also try to avoid startling people.
Reduce your speed and try to be considerate.
Thanks again for your reminders about checking your bike over first, before riding.
Please be safe everyone.
Happy Trails!!!
