Thank you, very helpful. However if you have neither a keyboard or expression pedal, you can auto capture the wah effect through the automation tack. Tapping 'A' on the keyboard to bring up the automation track, the default is 'Read' and 'volume', If you switch over volume to the wah pedal position in the drop down menu (under Pedal Board), then switch 'Read' to 'Touch' when you play back and either move the Macro A Value slider left to right as you show, or mouse over the pedal and move up and down to change pedal position, whatever position state you have the pedal in it will capture it via the touch automation.

I've just recently bought an electric guitar, I usually play acoustic, so I thought it would be a cool thing to have on some tracks. I don't even have a modulation wheel so I'm using the trackpad on a macBook but this still works. Well explained and easy to do myself. Thank you Sam
Wow. I'm continually impressed by how baffling illogical Logic is. The rest of the known universe has got midi-learn down to an intuitive two step process. In Logic, midi learn is only possible with secret knowledge of hidden pages, archaic assignment menus, and the aid of this video. Thanks for the cracking the code. Unbelievable.

hi , looking im puzzled , about the SYNC button on the pedals ,,,on the delay when I set BPM AT 120 and use a delay calculator 1 quarter = 500MS and set that to the time . when I hit SYNC on the pedalboard it moves a lot to the right ,I don't get that can be ?? can you help thanks
Hi Josh, I followed the steps carefully multiple times but it didn't work for me, I was assigning to my M-Audio Expression Pedal (my MIDI controller is same as you - Novation Impulse). I tried to assign to another knob(encoder)/fader and it worked perfectly; So I thought the Expression pedal was broken, so I bought a brand new one (the exact same model), but it didn't work neither, for some reasons, the maximum value on the Macro Value on the virtual pedal board only shows 0.027, despite the min/max value on the Controller Assignments window shows 0->127. Please help! I'm trying this for months

There isn't a volume pedal, but you can just as easily use the track volume automation to control volume. You can just as easily assign it to your expression pedal.
How to make automated pedal state (distortion) change (on/off) when playing live? For example, I use the drums within the project to perform live. And I need to have the program to change my guitar sound when I reach certain tact, minute or part of the song. I only see tutorials how to automated the already recorded track. But no automation for a live performance.
Derick Mathews Great, I just assigned my expression pedal connected to my midi keyboard to control the whammy pedal in logic while having my guitar connected. If you use the expression pedal in this way it should be read automatically to cc11. You can reassign by pressing control + L and clicking the whammy pedal in Pedalboard.
Hello guys, when I assign my keyboard knob it always changes the automation parameter to volume once i move it. I am trying to write some automation for an external whammy pedal but it won't let me do that. Any tips? Thanks a lot

all this music creation still sucks. you have to watch like 100 hours to even get Logic Pro. You can't just create a great song without all that knowledge
